Chapter 1: Manage Users When a service provider administrator onboards a tenant, the service provider administrator also creates a primary user (default customer administrator). The customer administrators can then onboard and manage users and services within their organization. Users are added to the service and assigned roles that define their access levels. Add MaaS Users You add users to the services that they are entitled to, and assign user roles that define their access levels. By default, only the service provider administrator has rights to perform the following tasks: Onboard the customers and users. Maintain a user profile (other than their own). Assign user roles. To add users, modify their roles, or upgrade some of them to administrators, use the service portal User Management option. Follow these steps: 1. Log in to the service portal. 2. Click Requests, User Management, Manage Users. 3. Select one of the following options: Add Platform User Adds a user who can access only the service portal but does not have access to any of the services until the role is modified. Add User Adds a user who can access the default services that the customer administrator provides. Bulk Upload Users Adds multiple platform users on behalf of the customer. You can assign a role to each of the users that you have added through the Modify User Roles form. 4. Complete the form with the necessary information and click Submit. The form is submitted. You receive an email notification with a link that directs you to CA Process Automation. You process the request and receive a confirmation email that the request is processed. Chapter 1: Manage Users 7

Upload Users in Bulk Upload Users in Bulk You create an XML user file to add multiple users for a customer. The XML file lets you upload users in bulk. All the users added in bulk are CSDP platform users. The customer administrator must modify the roles for each user to provide them access to the services. When creating the XML file, use the following guidelines: All fields are mandatory. The first name and last name fields contains only alphabetical characters. A space can be used only between two words in the first name. The email address must be in the format of email_address@company.com The email address must contain only alphanumeric characters, underscores, and periods. Follow these steps: 1. Prepare your XML user file according to the following example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <users> <user> <first_name>firstname</first_name> <last_name>lastname</last_name> <email>firstnamelastname@company.com</email> <pager>firstname_lastname@company.com</pager> </user> <user> <first_name>jane</first_name> <last_name>smith</last_name> <email>janesmith@company.com</email> <pager>jane.smith@company.com</pager> </user> </users> 2. Log in to the service portal. Note: To request Upload Users in Bulk, use the URL: http://oss-sc1.oss.ca:8080/usm/wpf, and log in to the service portal. 3. Click Requests, User Management, Manage Users, Upload Users in Bulk. 8 Manage Users

Assign Roles 4. Select a tenant from the drop-down list. 5. Click Attach File. Note: The service portal does not support the attach file task in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) or lower browser. To enable the IE8 browser, perform the following steps: a. Open the IE8 browser and click Tools, Internet Options. b. Click the Security tab and then click Custom level. c. Navigate to ActiveX controls and plug-ins, and click the option Enable, for Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting. d. Click OK. The Attachments page opens. 6. Click Browse, select the XML user file for upload, and then click Close. 7. Click Submit on the Manage Users form. Users from the XML file are added. Assign Roles You add users to the service and assign user roles that define their access levels. The service portal centralizes and automates monitoring requests and services. The user roles and their responsibilities are: Customer Administrator Browse the catalog, order services and view the status. Use the service. View service performance management and service level agreement reports and dashboards. Customer End User Browse the catalog, order services and view the status. Use the service.
