iq HD Flex is the basis of all iq HD player system packages. The system includes all the electronic equipment required to make your piano play on its own, e.g. 88 magnetic triggers to play all of the keys on the piano, a magnetic trigger to operate the right-hand pedal and for grand pianos the set also includes a metal cover for the electronics as well as an elaborate lever system to ensure that the functioning of the pedals remains unchanged following installation. As a general rule, with PianoDisc we iq Control Box always make sure that the piano being used is only altered where absolutely necessary (especially with regard to it's use as a regular acoustic piano). That is why all of the system components are attached to the parts of the instrument that do not have any significance in how the sound is produced consequently the installation does not affect the instrument in terms of its sound or its value. The PianoDisc iq HD series uses the patented SilentDrive HD technology that enables your piano to play your favourite music at various volume settings and always with full expression. Requirements for the controlling audio device: 1. Playback option for stereo audio in CD quality 2. Audio-out port with adjustable volume (e.g. earphone socket) 3. Facility to insert or transfer user s own music CDs or MP3 files The iq Flex system comes delivered from the manufacturer with five albums in MP3 format and four videos in MPEG4 format on a backup DVD. That way, the first five hours of listening pleasure are already taken care of! iq Flex and MIDI There are two methods for playing MIDI files on your piano: 1. Transfer your MIDI data to the iq system using the MIDI-IN connection OR iq HD Flex 2. Use the MusicConnect software supplied by PianoDisc to convert your MIDI files into the PianoDisc stereo audio format you can then simply launch the playback of the files from the audio device of your choice to start your piano playing. iq Multimedia-Drive Upgrade This upgrade includes the iq Multimedia-Drive including power pack, IR remote control and cable for connecting to the iq system and, if applicable, a TV. The iq Multimedia-Drive is installed underneath the keyboard. It has a slot-in CD/DVD-ROM drive, as well as connections for USB memory sticks and SD memory cards. More details in the QuietTime brochure. TFT MIDI Record System The advanced and patented Touch Film Technology (TFT) by PianoDisc is a musical recording system which records your piano playing. The TFT MIDI recording system is essential for learning and composing at home, at the academy of music and/or in a recording studio. The TFT MIDI recording system has a MIDI OUT connection, allowing you to record your piano playing in the tried and tested general MIDI format or for iq HD systems also directly in the PianoDisc audio format.
