This will help to keep your auto-scheduled greeting changes from becoming corrupted. At the computer: Make sure that the monitor is turned on. Programming a single button transfer to voice mail on an IMX or ESP system. (Used for Horizon Health System off-site voice mail transfers.) There are many different versions of software on the IMX and ESP telephone systems. The following instructions may not work on your system if the software issue of your telephone system does not allow this feature. On the 12 and 24 button phones are 10 SD buttons. They are labeled SD0 through SD9 and are to the right of the Line keys. To manually program an SD button on a 12 or 24 button phone to use as an automatic transfer to voice mail button: With the handset left in its cradle, Press the SD button that you wish to program for transfer to voice mail. Press the SPCL (or the infinity sign button if there is no SPCL button) once. Dial 9 Press the SPCL (or the infinity sign button if there is no SPCL button) three times. Dial 819-1830. Press the Line 1 button. Mark this button as a voice mail transfer button. In speed dial programming: Pressing the SPCL key once inserts a FLASH. Pressing the SPCL key twice inserts a short PAUSE. Pressing the SPCL key three times inserts a medium PAUSE. Pressing the SPCL key four times inserts a long PAUSE. To use this button: While talking to a caller that wishes to leave a message in voice mail, Press the SD button that you programmed and marked for this transfer. (It will dial the flash and telephone number for you.) When you hear the voice mail greeting, dial the 4-digit mailbox number to put the caller into. Hang up. Note: Keep these instructions by the phone in case you need to reprogram the button. If you accidentally press this programmed button once when you are not on a call, the telephone system will think you wish to reprogram the button and may default it. You can always reprogram it. Tip: If you press an SD button twice, it will display on the screen of your telephone the number that is programmed on it. If you accidentally press the button when you are not on a call, just press it a second time right away. The second press asks the telephone system to allow you to inspect the button instead of program it. You can also press it twice to see what it is programmed for.
