DEFRIBILLATORS PARAMEDIC CU-ER1 (Automated External Defibrillator) Someone goes down in cardiac arrest, resuscitation is just a hand away Patented e-cube Biphasic measure impedance and deliver efficient defibrillation shock. Paramedic CU-ER1 - this is an easy to use defibrillator with a graphic liquid crystal display. It runs in AED mode and acquires ECG signals and delivers the shock through disposable electrode pads. It is intended for use by emergency first responders such as firemen and paramedics. Simple and Easy to use The Paramedic CU-ER1 is a semi-automated external defibrillator (AED). If connected to a patient, it automatically acquires and analyzes the electrocardiogram (ECG) of the patient for the presence of Ventricular Fibrillation or Ventricular Tachycardia (also known as shockable rhythms). If a shockable rhythm is detected, the Paramedic CU-ER1 automatically charges itself and then prompts you to press the SHOCK button. When you press the SHOCK button after being prompted to press it, the Paramedic CU-ER1 delivers a defibrillating shock. After delivering a shock, the Paramedic CU-ER1 allows you to administer CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) according to the AHA 2005 Guidelines on CPR. The Paramedic CU-ER1 is easy to use. It guides you throughout a rescue operation using voice and text prompts. The SHOCK button that commences a shock delivery is clearly marked and is fitted with a backlight that flashes when the button has to be pressed. ECG monitoring (3 Lead ECG cable) The Paramedic CU-ER1 may also be used for ECG monitoring only. To enter this mode, the ECG Monitoring Cable and Connector Assembly must be connected to it. In this mode, the Paramedic CU-ER1 only monitors the ECG and does not deliver a shock. Intelligent Data Management Systems The Paramedic CU-ER1 enables you to review the critical events and data acquired during a rescue or an ECG monitoring operation. The ECG of the patient and critical events (charging, shock delivery, etc.) are automatically recorded in the internal memory of the device. Voice recording may also be done if the optional removable flash memory card is used. The ECG data acquired by the Paramedic CU-ER1 may be reviewed and printed directly using the device or may be transferred to a personal computer for archiving, review, and printing. Automatic and operator initiated Self-Test The Paramedic CU-ER1 is easy to troubleshoot and maintain. It is programmed to conduct automatic Power On, Run Time, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly self tests. During these tests, the critical subsystems of the device are tested for functionality. If a fault is detected, the device informs you of the fault through audible and visible indicators. Versatile power supply The Paramedic CU-ER1 is powered by a versatile power supply system. It is equipped with an internal rechargeable 12V DC Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack. This internal battery pack may be recharged using the AC/DC adapter or the car cigar lighter jack power cord. The internal battery pack has a capacity of 200 shocks when new and fully charged (150J into 50Ω). The Paramedic CU-ER1 may also be powered using the external, disposable LiMnO2 battery pack available from CU Medical Systems, Inc. The battery pack has a capacity of 200 shocks (150J into 50Ω) when used at an ambient temperature of 25 C. Intelligent Arrhythmia Detector Efficient and effective e-cube Biphasic Truncated Exponential shock waveform Lightweight and highly portable Versatile Power Supply - Internal rechargeable battery pack - External d isposable battery pack - AC/DC adapter - Car cigar lighter jack

Intelligent data management system - ECG of the patient is recorded all throughout the rescue operation. - Relevant events (e,g, shock advised, charging, shock delivery) are recorded together with timestamp, - Recorded data may be transferred to a PC for archiving and review, - Recorded data may be reviewed in the device. DEFRIBILLATORS PARAMEDIC CU-ER2 Dual Mode Defibrillator Paramedic CU-ER2 - this is an easy to use defibrillator with AED and manual modes. In AED mode, it runs in the same way as the Paramedic CU-ER1. In manual mode, the user does the analysis of the victim s ECG and sets the energy output of the device. The energy output may be set from 2 Joules to 200 Joules. It is intended for use by emergency first responders. Dual Mode Defibrillator The Paramedic CU-ER2 is a portable external defibrillator with the following modes: Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Mode. Manual Mode. In AED Mode, the Paramedic CU-ER2 analyzes the ECG of the patient to determine whether the patient has a shockable or nonshockable ECG rhythm. In this mode, the Paramedic CU-ER2 provides you with voice and text prompts throughout a rescue operation. In Manual Mode, the Paramedic CU-ER2 lets you control the defibrillation process. You assess the ECG of the patient and set the energy of the shock to be delivered. In this mode, the operator has the freedom to set the energy level of the defibrillating shock. The choices are (in Joules) 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, 100, 150, 200. You may also perform synchronous cardioversion for the treatment of atrial fibrillation in this mode. In synchronous cardioversion, the defibrillating shock is delivered within 60 milliseconds of the occurrence of a QRS peak in the patient s ECG. ECG monitoring (3 Lead ECG cable) The Paramedic CU-ER2 may also be used to do ECG monitoring only when it is in Manual mode. ECG monitoring only is done by connecting the custom designed ECG monitoring cable assembly from CU Medical Systems, Inc. No shocks may be delivered when the ECG monitoring cable assembly is connected to the Paramedic CU-ER2. Intelligent Data Management System The Paramedic CU-ER2 automatically records ECG and events such as shock deliveries in nonvolatile memory during rescue operations. These data may be printed directly using a portable printer or downloaded to a personal computer for printing and archiving. Versatile Power Supply The Paramedic CU-ER2 is powered by an internal rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack. It may also be powered by an optional external disposable LiMnO2 battery pack or its AC/DC adapter. While the internal battery is being recharged by the AC/DC adapter, the AC/DC adapter also supplies power to the whole device which enables it to be fully functional. Automatic and operator initiated Self-Test The Paramedic CU-ER2 is easy to troubleshoot and maintain. It is programmed to conduct automatic Power On, Run Time, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly self tests. During these tests, the critical subsystems of the device are tested for functionality. If a fault is detected, the device informs you of the fault through audible and visible indicators.
