Mobi View Charging: Remove the RF hub (jump drive-like device) from the back of the Mobi View. Store in the RF hub on the charging stand. Place Mobi View on charging stand. Plug into power outlet for about 8 hours. If charging by USB cable, allow about 12 hours with this method. Turning on Mobi View: Remove the RF hub from the back of the Mobi View and plug it into the USB port of the computer/laptop. Press the power button. If your Mobi View is connected, you will see the Select Language screen. If not, you will need to follow the onscreen prompts. Select the desired language. Using Your Mobi View: From the home screen you can: create, post and save notes you create annotate content bookmark favorite files or websites access a standard keyboard view assessment reports if using a student response system, view and adjust settings use the same toolbar as you used in the older versions Writing Notes: You can create and save up to 20 private notes or publish public notes to share with your class. Select the Pen tool and any formatting options. Options include the pen color, pen nub size, and note background color. Write notes directly on the touchscreen, or for more precise writing, on the tablets active writing area.

Private notes are automatically saved in Mobi View anytime you navigate away from the Notes screen or when you add a new note. You can use the arrow buttons to navigate between your saved notes. (Saved notes cannot be posted) Pen or Eraser Pen Color Pen Nib Size Background color Return to Home screen Delete Note Page back through Writing Mode saved Notes Post Note to share Page forward though saved Notes Add New Note Mouse Mode Posting Notes: Press the Post button to post the current note to a Workspace page. This will make your note visible to the class. Make sure to post the current note BEFORE creating a new one. Adding Notes: Press the Plus button to add a new note. The tools displayed on the Annotate screen can be customized.

Annotating Content: Workspace automatically opens in Lesson mode upon selecting an annotation tool, and your desktop is projected for the class. Select the Pen tool. Begin writing on the tablet s active area to annotate the current screen or select eh Blank Page tool. ** All annotations created in a single session are automatically saved and named with the current date. Customizing Tools: Return to Customize Annotation Start/Stop Home tools tools tools multi-user screen mode Press the Customize Tools button to open the Device Manager Utility on your computer. Select any function row. Select the desired tool from the drop down menu. Launching Multi-User Mode: Mobi View will allow you to connect up to nine devices, including Mobi View, Mobi Learners, and Mobi KWIK. Multi-User Mode: The Mobi View is automatically designated as the Presenter tablet when using multiple devices. Pair each added Mobi you wish to connect by first pressing the Activation button on the Mobi RF Hub, and then the Activation button on the Mobi. Please remember you must pair the additional Mobi to the hub within 2 minutes. From the Annotate screen, press the Multi-User button.

Select the number of users desired to activate the Workspace multi-user mode. Press the Exit Multi-User button to end the session. Locking Student Tablets: If a student is doing something inappropriate on the tablet, it would probably be quicker and easier to turn off the projector or monitor ASAP. Otherwise, you can press the pen to your Mobi View to again control but I have found that this does not work every time. Favorites: You can bookmark and access up to 16 favorite links to websites or files. If you use your Mobi View with a different computer, you will need to reset your favorites. Using Favorites: Press the desired Favorites button. The link, file, or application will open immediately. Press the Add Favorites button. This will launch the Device Manager utility on your computer. Device Manager will open to the Mobi View Properties window, Favorites tab. Select the function row you wish to change. Select the folder or link icon for a file or website. Enter the bookmark name and location.

Keyboard: Fill in field or type in web addresses using the mobile keyboard on your Mobi View. Use the Mobi View pen as a mouse on the active tablet to place the cursor in the desired field. Fill in the field by pressing the pen tip to the desired characters on the Mobi View keyboard. Press Enter to enter the text in the field. Press Done to close the keyboard and return to the Home screen. Reports: If you use the CPS system, you can view assessment reports in real-time on your Mobi View. Reports available: Question Status Session Summary Answer Distribution Session Results by Student Response Grid Response per Student **If report data is available, a Reports icon will appear on the left side of the title bar at the top of the touchscreen.
