PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Night Optics USA, Inc. 805nM IR-K2 Pro IR Illuminator is our best selling and all-around best performing IR Illuminator. With simple controls and versatile mounting capabilities, the K2 Pro is an excellent companion to any night vision device. The IR K2 Pro features a focusable beam, variable power switch and windage / elevation adjustment which allows you to Zero the device. OPERATION Battery Installation Remove battery cap/power switch - Insert [1] 3v CR123 (negative first). Replace battery cap/power switch securely. Using the Variable Power Switch Turn the variable power switch (fig. 1.6) to the desired output level. (example below) Power Output/Controls 100% Off% 50% Figure 2 Variable Power Switch Battery Cap Mount/Windage & Elevation To mount the IR-K2 Pro, align the mount point to device or rail adaptor and use the mount screw (Fig. 3.1) to tighten. Continued... OPERATION Focusable Beam Adjustment The IR-K2 Pro features a focusable IR beam adjustment built into the body of the device. To adjust the beam on this device: Twist the front objective of the device to extend the lens and focus the beam. Reverse this step to widen the IR beam. Note: Fully closed the IR device will provide a wide field of illumination. Fully extended the IR device will provide a narrow field of illumination. MAINTENANCE Moisture The IR-K2 Pro IR Illuminator is water resistant but not waterproof. Take care to protect the device from excessive moisture to prevent damage to the internal electronics. If the device gets wet from rain/drizzle, spill or splash remove the moisture with a clean, dry cloth. Dirt and Dust To maintain smooth operation of the objective focusing mechanism (fig 5), avoid sand and dirt. If sand or dirt gets into the objective of the device - compressed air can be used to clear away any debris that has collected in the those areas. A clean dry cloth can be used to remove any dust or residue. Lens The lens of the IR-K2 Pro can be cleaned with a clean dry cloth or lens paper. Avoid spaying liquid lens cleaning solutions directly on to the device as moisture could cause damage. Using a small about on a clean cloth or lens paper is permisible. Battery / Battery Housing To prevent corrosion, remove the battery from the device prior to storing for extended periods. Use a clean dry cloth to clear away any dust that may accumulate in the battery compartment. Warning: Improper care or unauthorized maintenance can damage device and may result in warranty nullification. 5
The Night Optics USA, Inc. IR-K2 Pro IR Illuminator is covered by a limited 1 year warranty from time of sale. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser. The manufacturer warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period. If the product proves to be defective during this period, the manufacturer will repair the original product or replace it with a like product at the sole discretion of the manufacturer. This limited warranty does not cover: WARRANTY 1. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified, or removed. 2. Any product that has experienced deterioration or a malfunction from: accidents, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lighting or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product, repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized to do so, use of supplies or parts not meeting manufacturer s specifications, normal wear and tear, and/or extreme wear and tear caused by battlefield conditions or other extreme environments. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are valid without an agreement in writing provided by the manufacturer. All shipping involved in warranty work/replacement is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY Night Optics USA, Inc. will not be liable for any claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, damages or liabilities arising out of the use of this product. Operation and use of this product are the sole responsibility of the Customer. Night Optics USA, Inc. s sole responsibility is limited to providing the products and service outlined herein in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The provision of products sold and services performed by Night Optics USA, Inc. to the Customer shall not be interpreted, construed, or regarded, either expressly or implied, as being for the benefit or creating any obligation toward any third party of legal entity outside Night Optics USA, Inc. and Customer; Night Optics USA, Inc. s obligations under this Agreement extend solely to the Customer. Night Optics USA, Inc. s liability hereunder for damages, regardless of the form or action, shall not exceed the fees or other charges paid to Night Optics USA, Inc. by the Customer or the Customer s dealer. Night Optics USA, Inc. shall not, in any event, be liable for special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, lost income, lost revenue, or lost profit, whether such damages were foreseeable or not at the time of purchase, and whether or not such damages arise out of breach of warranty, a breach of agreement, negligence, strict liability, or any other theory of liability. 6
