Design Conductor Training Document Design Conductor is a web based template library for all of your printed materials like brochures, newsletters, post cards and more. Authorized staff members will be able to input information into documents your design team has created and made available as templates. These templates fit content to available space, crops and expands images, preserves image aspect ratio, wraps text around images, creates a print-ready PDF. IT S EASY! Choose the template you wish to use Click on the template to enter text or insert images View a watermarked PDF Submit for approval Send to printing GRCCePRINT 616-234-3964

Please email dsedore@grcc.edu with your name, email address, phone number and which school you are associated with. You will receive an email to join Design Conductor. Put in the URL to land on the Design Conductor s login page https://www.designconductor.com Register for Design Conductor, and you will be all set to start creating your materials. Once you are registered you log in and click on the Use this Organization.

Click on the Create a New Document button. You will see there are different categories to choose which type of product you would like to create and order. Click on the topic name to see options for designs for you to choose from. TOPIC NAME

Once you choose the topic you will see the options for this topic. Click on the document name of the one you wish to work on. DOCUMENT NAME Click on Create Document Now Create Document Now

You will see the front and back of the document if there is one. You can now start clicking on the document to make your changes. Want to change the picture? Just click on it and you will be able to upload one of your pictures Change Picture, Put in your log, or change text. If you can click on it you can change it. Click on the Add Image From This Device. Click Browse to find your picture, open it and then click upload Add Image From This Device will allow you to navigate to your computer or image library at your school. Make sure your image is a Maximum quality JEPG. *Images from phones or the internet will not product a quality photo.

Upload Image button will bring your image into the document. You will see the area of the document that the picture will fit in. You have the option to move that area on the picture to choose the area of the picture you want on your document. Once you have it in the outlined box, click Use Modified Image button. This is the area of the document the photo will fit into. You can move the area around to best position the image for your document. Click Use Modified Image button.

You will see the screen refresh with your image in place. To change a pre-existing background image and to replace the abc logo with your school logo, click on the image or logo. To change an image that is in the image library on the site, click on the image.

Click on the "Add Image from Grand Rapids Community College" button. Click on the Add Image from Grand Rapids Community College Library button. NOTE you will choose the same button for your school logos. Click the Add Image button. Then click the dropdown to choose what type of image in the library you want to use and Click the Refresh button. Here is where you will pick your background image and click Use this image button. Click the dropdown button. This is under Backgrounds. Click the Refresh button. You will see the backgrounds along the top of the image area. NOTE: Your school logos are under the Things heading. Click through until you see the school and color you want to use and then click the Use this Image button.

You want to change the text, click on a text area. Here you can change what the text is and also if you have text paragraphs you can click on the Section Header to change the heading and the Body Text to change your paragraph. Once you have your changes click on the Save button and you will see your changes. Paragraph Header and body text. Click Save button when you complete your text to paste into your document. Once you have completed your changes, click on the Order Printing to submit your order. Order Printing will bring you to the GRCCePRINT printing portal to place your order.

The GRCCePRINT Printing portal will open and you will be able to put in your title of your document, please use a title to identify what it is so in the future you can look it up in your order history. Put in your quantity, and proceed until you see the shipping page. Type in the name of your document, ex: St Mary s When you are ready card. The quantity you wish to order and click continue. Make sure you choose the account number, the date you need it to be completed for shipping or pick-up and the method of delivery.
