Functions and Operation Ⅰ. Charging 1. Prior to the first use, install the special battery in the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 correctly (battery positive pole above as shown in the figure). Battery should be fully charged with Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 by plugging the plug of the charger into the charge jack of the Bluetooth LP-5. When charged with the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 in power off mode, the red LED flashes regularly. When the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 is charged after being turned on and connected, the Bluetooth chip will reset (disconnection of Bluetooth) and the red LED flashes regularly. The LED will change to constant blue light after the battery is fully charged. For the first charging, the recommended time is 2.5-3.5 hr. Ⅱ. Turning On/Off 1. Turning On: After the multifunction key is pressed and held for 2 seconds in power off mode, Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 is turned on with gradually increasing prompt tone from the speaker and quick flashing blue LED light. If LP-5 previously connected a mobile phone, it will automatically connect the original mobile phone (provided the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone is on). If the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone is not on, Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 will switch into standby mode after a flash of red light following several times of flashing blue light. At the standby mode, the red light flashes once every 5 seconds. 2. Turning Off: After the multifunction key is pressed and held for 2 seconds in power on mode, Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 will be turned off with gradually decreasing prompt tone from the speaker and quick flashing of red light. Note: In case of low voltage, Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 will automatically be turned off and fail to be turned on. Ⅲ. Pairing with Mobile Phone Prior to the first use, the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 must be paired with a mobile phone with Bluetooth function as follow: 1). Place the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 and the mobile phone within a range of 1 meter to each other; 2). Confirm the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 is in power off mode; 3). Press and hold the multifunctional key of the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 for about 2 seconds to turn on, with a gradually increasing prompt tone from the speaker, blue LED light quick flashing several times, red light flashing once and both off for 1 second. Keep on pressing until the red and blue light flashes alternately. 4). Activate the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone to enable it to search Bluetooth device (referring to the instructions of the mobile phone for details); 5). Select QDCLP-5 from device(s) found by the mobile phone; 6). Enter PIN code 0000 and press Ok key to have the mobile phone paired with the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5. The unit will be in standby mode after a prompt tone from the speaker followed by flashing blue light - 5 -
once every 5 seconds, which means successfully paired. 7). Return to the main menu by pressing Back key and make sure that the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 and the mobile phone are within 10 meters to each other without any obstacles, and now answering, dialing and other operations are available with the multifunctional key of the Bluetooth loop. Note: In case of failure to pair 2 minutes after entering pairing mode, the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 will switch into standby mode, with the red light flashing once every 3 seconds. Re-pairing is required with above steps. Ⅳ. Disconnecting the Mobile Phone with the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 The disconnection can be made on the mobile phone (referring to the instructions of the mobile phone for details). Ⅴ. Operation Ensure issues below before operating: 1) The battery of Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 has sufficient power and Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 has already been paired to the mobile phone with Bluetooth function. 2) The battery of covert earpiece has been correctly installed (as shown in the figure below ) and has sufficient power. Flip open the battery cover, insert the battery in the right direction as shown in the figure above and close the battery cover. 1) Answering Calls: For incoming calls, there are rings on both the mobile phone and the covert earpiece. Calls can be made by slightly pressing the multifunctional key of the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 once. 2) Hanging Up To hang up during calling, just slightly press the multifunctional key of the Bluetooth Inductive Loopset LP-5 once. The unit will enter standby mode. 3) Redialing The unit will automatically redial the last number called with the mobile phone after the multifunctional key is - 6 -
pressed twice in the standby mode. Redialing status and consequent result will be displayed on the mobile phone. To stop redialing, slightly press one more time. The unit will go back to standby mode. Note: When the covert earpiece is not used for a long time, the battery should be removed to avoid unnecessary power consumption.
