Architecture & Design A supported component of the VMware Branch Office Desktop architecture, Liquidware Labs Stratusphere UX provides visibility into the entire desktop environment both physical and virtual -- including users, applications, endpoints, virtualization hosts, storage and networks. Stratusphere UX addresses the challenge of monitoring across the geographic distribution and expanse of remote office operations with their heightened dependencies on WAN connectivity. Stratusphere UX also provides critical capabilities, including identifying, isolating and diagnosing issues in a shared virtual desktop environment, from headquarters to all remote operations. Validation Result Stratusphere UX collects literally hundreds of time-stamped, constraint based metrics across the virtual infrastructure. These standardized, defined metrics are further weighted, rated and correlated into a UX Profile, which provides a simple but powerful single-metric data feed into vcenter Operations. Users can view only the most meaningful user experience data added to host and systems views within the parameters they have already set within vcenter Operations. Stratusphere UX complements VMware View Adapter for additional desktop metric data visibility in vcenter Operations consoles, and adds diagnostic, validation and optimization abilities to a VMware View environment. Stratusphere UX can run stand-alone in the environment or, with separate Adapter technology, feed directly into vcenter Operations consoles, enabling organizations to monitor the performance of all desktops virtual, physical and powered by VMware Mirage across their enterprises to the remotest locations.
