Fixed Issues in Branch Gateways 6.3 (build 33.13.0) Fixed Issues in Branch Gateways 6.3 (build 33.13.0) This release includes the following fixed issues. w Table 2: Fixed Issues in Branch Gateways 6.3 (build 33.13.0) Problem Keywords Workaround When IP traffic was sent by third party equipment to a closed port, the gateway spent a long time examining the packets before deciding to discard them. Since sending IP traffic to a closed port is not expected or an appropriate behavior, the gateway will now discard these packets earlier when the CPU starts being heavily occupied. This will help maintain the performance of the gateway. A large amount of this type of traffic may still degrade voice quality. After an outage, the gateway did not register with Communication Manager in one of the following scenarios: The IPv4 address of Communication Manager was equal to the broadcast address for the network minus one. The IPv4 address of Communication Manager was equal to the broadcast address minus two and the gateway address was equal to the broadcast address minus one. For example, when the subnet mask 255.255.255.128, the Media gateway's address is 255.255.255.126, and the ICC is 255.255.255.125 An issue that caused the uptime duration display in the show system CLI output and returned in SNMP queries to roll-over every 248 days is fixed. 120231 120233 120284 Branch Gateways 6.3 Release Notes For feedback, use document@avaya.com May 6, 2013 7

Changes Delivered to Branch Gateways 6.3 (build 33.13.0) Known Issues in Branch Gateways 6.3 (build 33.13.0) This release includes the following known issues. w Table 3: Known Issues in Branch Gateways 6.3 (build 33.13.0) Problem Keywords Workaround The Branch Gateway version does not support multiple IPv6 VLAN interfaces. IPV6 Link Local addresses support on all web pages. Communication Manager does not support IPV6 link local addresses. Communication Manager does not configure Dynamic DSCP in Inter-gateway calls. Dynamic DSCP (MLPP) for IPv4 and IPv6 is not supported in this version. Embedded Web Manager does not work via dial-in session (USB modem). The MGC list is deleted after you downgrade to release 30.xx.yy Use a single VLAN interface with IPv6. 101604 Use IPv6 Global addresses for the connection between Communication Manager and the Branch Gateway. 101649 Work with static DSCP definition instead. 090790 Use other interfaces for this types of connection. 100783 Reconfigure the MGC list after downgrading to the earlier release. 8 Branch Gateways 6.3 Release Notes For feedback, use document@avaya.com May 6, 2013
