Datasheet BlackBerry Access: Windows 10 and macos The Challenge Modern businesses consist of not only full-time employees, but users such as contractors, seasonal workers, remote workers, and partners. Enterprises need a way to enable access to business resources over this wide range of user populations. Most enterprises turn to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), but it is complex and costly to implement and manage. In addition, using personal laptops for work compromises corporate data. The Solution BlackBerry Access for Windows 10 and macos is the modern approach to remote access. It is the secure browser for enabling and deploying secure HTML5 apps and accessing corporate intranets. It allows your organization to confidently enable access to a broad range of web apps and intranet resources containing sensitive information and to any user base all without requiring a VPN. The Modern Approach to Remote Access BlackBerry Access is the modern approach to remote access and the cost-saving alternative to VPN and VDI. With traditional VDI solutions, users must deal with complex sign-on and connection procedures. 1

BlackBerry Access gives users easy access to all corporate resources and apps on their own laptops without the need to deal with complex VPN procedures, certificates, or authentication. By entering their single BlackBerry Access password, users can access all their business content within minutes. Enable Productivity and Access to Corporate Resources With BlackBerry Access, users have access to not only the intranet browser and HTML5 apps, but also corporate email, calendar, contacts, and document editing through the integrated access to BlackBerry Work a crucial capability for remote workers, for employees using their personal laptops, or in the event of a failed VPN connection. BlackBerry Access provides an integrated desktop experience with collaboration tools that enable users to work seamlessly and efficiently. Intranet Resources: Access intranet sites and manage bookmarks, history, and downloads so that content is always within reach. Integrated Access to BlackBerry Work Email: Access business emails with the ability to accept/decline meeting invites from the inbox. Calendar: Easily manage buisness calendar and utilize the free/busy lookup capability to align with everyone s schedules. This saves time once wasted having to rescheduling meetings due to lack of calendar visibility. Documents: Download or open files, edit them straight from the secure browser, and email them to colleagues. Document-centric workflows are not limited. BlackBerry Work is supported offline - a crucial capability for remote work. This means that with BlackBerry Work, users can be truly productive anytime, anywhere. For example, users can still send an email without Wi-Fi, such as on a plane, putting an end to delayed workflows. 2

Reach More Endpoints with Easy Onboarding and Offboarding BlackBerry Access enables enterprises to reach more user populations. It provides a turnkey way to quickly onboard and offboard contractors, partners and other non-employees on their own laptops. IT can easily provision BlackBerry Access to any user to provide access to corporate resources and IT can also wipe all corporate data from the device just as easily--such as at the end of a contract or in the event of an emergency. With BlackBerry Access, IT does not have to worry about the complex enrollment and deprovisioning process for non-traditional employees. Deploy HTML5 Apps and Provide Offline Access BlackBerry Access enables enterprises to securely deploy HTML5 apps. This gives users easy to access corporate resources such as internal portals and dashboards. By providing one-click access to these SaaS apps, users will have all resources at hand without limitations of discoverability or security. BlackBerry Access even provides users access to BlackBerry Work offline so users can work on emails, contacts, and calendar without connectivity. 3

Additionally, BlackBerry offerings for desktop support offline editing of Microsoft Office documents. Users can securely edit PowerPoint and Word documents in offline mode using an embedded editor (SmartOffice by Artifex). Using this functionality, they can download, edit, and save Word and PowerPoint documents in the secure enclave of the BlackBerry Desktop application and be assured that their data remains secure. End-to-End Security with Data Path Controls With traditional browsing, sensitive corporate data such as bookmarks, NTLM credentials or files may be exposed. BlackBerry Access uses Data Path Controls to securely route traffic thru the firewall, and at the same time keeps intranet and any SaaS data secure and containerized. Organizations can enable seamless connections for remote users to sensitive data sources while eliminating data leakage. By whitelisting URLs, IT can restrict end-users access to domains that are company-approved, so employees can browse freely without fear of data leakage. Should devices be lost or stolen, IT can selectively remote wipe the secure browser to protect corporate information without affecting users personal data. 4
