LTE System Overview: This training will provide a complete view of LTE radio and core networks. it will cover the different specifications, the architecture and the differences with legacy technologies. What is LTE? Why do we need LTE networks? How do we achieve higher throughputs? What are the differences between LTE and GSM/ WCDMA? What is the LTE advanced? what are the possible future evolutions of LTE? This course is suited for operator personnel willing to gain the theoretical and practical knowledge on LTE networks. Basic knowledge of telecommunications techniques.

LTE Air interface This course describes the LTE air interface with the different procedures used in the physical layer in order to achieve user and channel multiplexing. This course also describes the techniques used to achieve higher throughputs such as MIMO and carrier aggregation. It also covers the procedures required to achieve synchronisation, to access a cell, to search and select a cell, etc. How can we achieve user's separation? How physical channels are transmitted in LTE? How does a transmitter and a receiver works in LTE? What is the structure of channels in LTE? What is the network architecture and what is the purpose of each node of the networks? What is MIMO and how is it used in LTE What are the procedures needed in the physical layer? How does a mobile searches and access a cell? How radio resources are handles in LTE? How capacity is handled in LTE networks? This course is suited for operator personnel willing to gain the theoretical and practical knowledge on LTE networks. Advanced knowledge of telecommunications techniques is recommended.

LTE networks design and planning This course will cover how to perform LTE radio network design. It will provide a methodology for cellular planning for LTE and describe the main parameters that need to be considered such as Rach Root Sequence and PCI. This course can be completed with additional practical exercises on a design software. What are the specificities of LTE design? What are the different planning steps for WCDMA? How to calculate a LTE link budget? What are the main resources to be considered while planning a LTE cell coverage? What parameters are to be planned for LTE? How to proceed for RACH Root sequence and PCI planning? What are the considerations for a TAC planning? What are the criteria for neighbour cell planning? This course is suited for operator design teams Strong knowledge of the LTE air interface is recommended 3 extra days for practical exercises

LTE protocols During this training the LTE RAN and core protocols and procedures will be covered. An in-depth description of every protocol used in every interface will be provided. Several call flows will be presented to illustrate the use of these protocols. A complete description of VoLTE procedure and IMS architecture will be provided. This course can be completed with mobile trace analysis on a suitable tool. What is the architecture of LTE RAN? What are the main protocols involved in E-UTRAN? What is the function of each one of these protocols? What are the main procedures associated to these protocols How are calls handled in E-UTRAN? How is mobility handled in LTE? What is VoLTE? What is the architecture of a VoLTE network? What are the mechanism used for VoLTE Call handling? This course is suited for operator optimisation and troubleshooting teams 3 extra days for practical exercises

Voice Over LTE This training provides a description of the different existing solution to provide Voice over LTE A complete explanation of the implementation of each solution will be provided Why do we need Voice over LTE? What are the different solutions to provide Voice over LTE? What are the advantages and drawbacks of every solution? How to evaluation the efficiency and quality of the voice service? What is the impact of Voice on Packet services? This course is suited for operator optimisation and troubleshooting teams

LTE tuning and troubleshooting This training will cover the main issues that can be measured during a drive test and the main metrics that needs to be analysed in order to perform initial tuning. This course will also provide a description of the main metrics that can be captured with a drive test tool and the main network anomalies that can be observed during these test. This course is illustrated with real examples collected from live networks. What are the main metrics that can be measured in E- UTRAN? What are the main events that can be detected? How to analyse these results? What are the causes of the detected events? What can be done in order to solve any detected issue? This course is suited for operator optimisation and troubleshooting teams 3 extra days for practical exercises

Quality of service over LTE networks This training provides a complete description of how Quality of Service (QoS) is handled in LTE Networks. It will cover the mechanisms used in radio and core network to enforce this QoS What is the definition of QoS? What are the different parts of QoS? What are the nodes enforcing QoS? What are the parameters used to specify the QoS? How these parameters are used in every node participating in a call?
