INSTALLATION Note: If you are installing a complete Z-Wave system for the first time, please refer to the installation guide of your Z-Wave Interface Controller before installing this module. Using the following table and diagram, which shows the functions for each wire in the included Wiring Harness, connect the harness to your curtain motor relay. Note that the lines without any legend in the diagram below indicate empty pins on the wiring harness. Wire Color Red Black White Gray Brown Function Power Ground OPEN Signal Output CLOSE Signal Output STOP Signal Output Once the harness is wired to the relay, plug it into the Curtain Signal Module. Note that the connector is keyed and can only be inserted in one direction. Do not force the connectors together. Next, secure the module to the wall or other surface. Note that mounting hardware is NOT included. 3

INCLUSION Now that the module is in its final location, it can be "included" into the network. Bring your Z-Wave Interface Controller to the sensor's location. The distance between the controller and the module should be less than 1 meter during the "inclusion" process. 1. Following the instructions that came with your Z-Wave Controller, put the controller into "include" mode. 2. When prompted, press the Program Switch on the module once. This completes the "inclusion" process. EXCLUSION If you wish to remove the module from your network, you will need to "exclude" it. 1. Following the instructions that came with your Z-Wave Controller, put the controller into "exclude" mode. 2. When prompted, press the Program Switch on the module once. This completes the "exclusion" process. RESET TO DEFAULT To reset the module to the factory default settings, press and hold the Program Switch for about 5 seconds. OPERATION This module responds to the following basic commands for curtain control: OPEN: CLOSED: Basic Set, 0xFF Basic Set, 0x00 CONFIGURATION The following list of Advanced Commands can be used to change the amount of time it takes to raise, lower, or stop the curtains: UP Output Time: 1 byte value, 1-255 seconds STOP Output Time: 1 byte value, 1-255 seconds DOWN Output Time: 1 byte value, 1-255 seconds 4
