Copy9 for Symbian only support Symbian OS 3rd, Symbian OS 3rd FP1, Symbian OS 3rd FP2, Symbian OS 5th. Be sure your device is compatible with Copy9 before follow this document. 1. INSTALLATION There are two way to install Copy9, using a computer or using your phone, let choose one which is the simplest for you, then follow steps below. Through your phone: Open the web browser then enter this link Symbian S60 3 rd and 3 rd FP1: http://copy9.com/download/copy9_92.sis Symbian S60 3rd FP2 and 5th: http://copy9.com/download/copy9_93.sis to download Copy9 installation file, then set up wizard will install that file automatically to your device. If the set up wizard display a message say that can not install because date time is incorrect, please set the phone's date time to correct value then repeat those steps above. 3
Through your computer: Open your web browser then go to our website www.copy9.com, login in with your account, choose download menu,click Symbian OS, then click the link http://copy9.com/download/copy9_92.sis to download Copy9 set up file to your PC. After download process finish, you can install that file to your device by using: Nokia PC Suite: Nokia PC Suite is the application manager of Nokia which you can use to install an application or manage the phone's files. To install Copy9 through computer, your computer must be installed Nokia PC Suite, if not you can get it free here. 4
Connect your device with your computer, then drag and drop Copy9 set up file to your device in Nokia PC Suite interface, choose OK on confirm message and follow set up wizard to install the application Copy9 to your phone step by step. Copy installation file to your phone SD card then install it. You can copy Copy9 set up file to the phone's memory then use File Manager application to open it to start installation process. 5
After the installation process finish, restart your phone. When the phone start again, wait 30 seconds for Copy9 repair the necessary information. Then, open Copy9 by dialing secret key #123456*, Copy9 user interface will appear. You can configure Copy9 to use now. 6
2. CONFIGURATION As you see, Copy9 can not run without an account, so you must login first. If you don't have any account, you can register one on our website www.copy9.com, it's free with a condition that you already have a valid email address. On Copy9 interface, go to SELECT WEBSITE Choose copy9.com to set website. The next step, login to your account: SELECT LOGIN enter your email address and password of your Copy9 account -> OK. Be sure your phone is now connected with internet via WIFI, 3G or GPRS. Attention!!! You can only monitor 3 devices for each account. If you want to monitor more devices, please register another account. 7
The default language of Copy9 is English, but you can change to other language if you want, go to MENU -> LANGUAGE then choose one. Now we support three languages: English, French and Vietnamese. 2.1. TURN ON/OFF APPLICATION As default, all of functions in Copy9 will start automatically after you login successful with a valid account. If you want to turn on or off any function, you can go to CONFIG menu, then choose ACTIVATE or DEACTIVATE it. Example: I activate the GPS function now in the picture below. In case you want to turn on/off all functions at once: go to MENU then choose RUNMODE: 8
OFF MODE: Change Copy9 status to OFF mode. In this mode, Copy9 won't record any Call Log, SMS Log, GPS Log... All functions will stop except for SMS Remote function. ON MODE: change Copy9 status to ON mode. In this mode, Copy9 works normally. All functions work exactly like you configure. ON all: activate all functions. OFF all: deactivate all functions. 2.2. CONFIGURE IMPORTANT PARAMETERS OF APPLICATION After you login successful, Copy9 will run with default parameter values, you can change those parameters to what value you want. 2.2.1. GPS interval time After each interval time, Copy9 will update your current position on the world map via satellites. The GPS's accuracy is in range from 20 meters to 100 meters depends on the weather and the free-sky you have. Go to MENU -> INTERVAL -> GPS INTERVAL then insert a value between 3 and 150 minutes. GPS interval default value is 15 minutes. You shouldn t set GPS interval value too small, the smaller value you choose the faster your device s battery run out because Copy9 has to work constantly to update your position. 9
2.2.2. GPS distance filter As I explained before, GPS has accuracy from 20m to 100m. I recommend that you set this field to 100m for horizontal and 10m for vertical, if the phone move out of that distance, Copy9 will get the new position. 2.2.3. Password to open Copy9 Default password to open Copy9's user interface is #123456*, you should change it to another value at the first launch time to protect your application's configuration. The format of this filed is #xxxxx* (started with # and finished by *), x is a number from 0 to 9, for example #1123189*. 10
2.2.4. Configure SMS remote function Set up the monitor phone number. SMS remote is a special feature to control Copy9 via defined SMS message. Some functions can be activated when the phone which Copy9 is running on received a SMS command message and only the monitor phone number can use those SMS to control Copy9. You must set this field with the phone number you want to use to control Copy9. Set up current SIM card phone number. Recommend that you should set the phone number of current SIM card in (SMS remote control -> This phone number) Copy9, if user using another SIM card, Copy9 will send to you an alert message with 11
sender information is the phone number of new SIM card. Then you can know which new phone number is using in target phone, so you can send SMS command to update that new SIM card 's phone number to Copy9. Set the secret SMS for changing monitor phone You can change the monitor phone number which can control Copy9 by using this SMS message, when Copy9 receive this message, it'll get the sender's phone number and set it is monitor phone number. Old monitor phone number can not be used to control Copy9 anymore. 12
3. USAGE SMS, CALL, URL and GPS functions, you can review data on our website. Login to www.copy9.com with your account then you can explore GPS and others logs. - GPS log. - SMS log. 13

We only keep your data for 30 days so I recommend you download all of those logs to review in the future. Copy9's configuration can be changed through website. At Cell Info menu, you can change each configuration parameter. In your device, Copy9 will update new configuration after 30 minutes. 15
4. Some functions only can be activated by SMS Remote command Flush data: As normal, Copy9 will send all data to server each interval time, but you can make Copy9 send data immediately by using flush-data SMS command. Trace Mode: this function requests Copy9 update GPS location immediately and continually for 10, 20 or 39 minutes if you want. For example: You use monitor number to send a command SMS message to target phone <*#40><30><25><10>. After target phone receives this SMS, Copy9 will turn on Trace Mode. Each 30 seconds, if target phone move a distance more than 25 meters, Copy9 will update new GPS location to server. After 10 minutes, Copy9 turn off Trace Mode. You can see these locations by using TRACEYOU application on iphone or TraceYou utility in website www.copy9.com. 16
