Instructions for CTFC Course and Examination 1. The candidate for CTFC course and examination must ensure that he/ she has obtained individual membership of C-PEC before filling up the form. 2. Eligibility Criteria: I. All existing Trainers of the member training institutions shall be eligible to appear for the certificate course. II. Cooperative bank employees opting for faculty post havinga) Assurance letter from organization working in, that the candidate will be posted as faculty after passing the course. b) Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university c) 5 years experience in the officer grade d) Passed CAIIB examination, conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance III. Open candidates havinga) First class Post graduate degree in Agriculture / Economics / Commerce / Law / Finance OR graduate degree from recognized university with 5 years of experience in rural credit b) Working as or is likely to be working as a cooperative trainer having assurance letter from organization 3. Duration of the CTFC course : Total : 24 weeks - Module wise details are :- Code CTFC 01 CTFC 02 CTFC 03 Module and Duration Training Skills (8 weeks) including Mandatory Contact Classes (4 days) Design & Evaluation of Training (8 weeks) including Mandatory Contact Classes (2 days) Cooperative Credit & Banking (8 weeks) including Mandatory Contact Classes (6 days) 4. The candidates shall have to prepare and submit Project and Assignment for all the three modules on the topics / subject to be allotted by C-PEC. In case of nonsubmission, the candidate shall not be allowed to attend the next stage as mentioned in para 3 above. 5. It shall be mandatory for all the candidates to attend Practice Sessions, Contact Classes, written examination and viva-voce at BIRD, Lucknow or any other centre designated by C-PEC. Any request received for change of date of practice sessions, contact classes, written examination and the centre shall not be entertained. Members may submit the CTFC Enrollment Form in the prescribed format along with prescribed fee in form of a Demand Draft / Pay Order in favor of Bankers Institute of Rural Development payable at Lucknow (UP). Please write your name and membership number on the reverse of Demand Draft/ Pay Order. The word attempt in above para No. 7 shall refer to the next batch of CTFC course conducted by C-PEC. Candidate not appearing in the next batch of CTFC conducted by C-PEC on subsequent occasion shall be treated as to have lost the attempt. 9. Written examination shall consist of 100 multiple-choice questions and duration of the examination for each module shall be 2 hours. For Viva Voce, Candidate may have to wait for his / her turn. 10. There will NOT be a system of negative marking for wrong answers. 3
11. Passing Criteria : - All candidates must score minimum 50 % marks in all the components of all the three modules viz. Written Examination, Project, Assignment, Class Participation, Practical Examination and Viva-voce. - First class shall be awarded to candidates securing 60% marks or above and Distinction to those candidates who secure 75% marks or above and pass in all the modules in a single attempt. - In case, the candidate is unable to complete all the three modules of CTFC in three consecutive attempts, he / she will have to re-register or re-enroll afresh for all three modules of CTFC. carried over on re-enrollment. 12. Conduct and Discipline in the Examination Hall : Credit/s for Module(s) passed earlier shall NOT be - Permanent Membership Identity Card issued at the time of obtaining membership should be kept ready for inspection during Practice Sessions, Contact Classes, written examination and viva-voce for identification. - Candidates should ensure their presence at the examination hall at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination. - No candidates shall be allowed to enter the examination hall after the expiry of 15 minutes from the commencement of examination. - No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall before the expiry of one hour from the commencement of examination. - Candidate should ensure his/her presence through signing the attendance sheet. - Candidate should not possess/use books, notes, periodicals etc. in the examination hall at the time of examination. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. - Copying answers from answer books of other candidates or permitting others to copy from one s answer book shall attract the rules relating to unfair practices in the examination. - No candidate shall misbehave/argue with the authorities during examination. - Canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification from appearing in the course. - If any candidate violates any of the above rules, he or she shall be considered under the act of misconduct and shall be liable for punishment. 4
13. Penalties for misconduct / unfair practices : C-PEC shall have right to disqualify and impose penalty on any candidate who they have reason to believe has adopted unfair means in the examination. - Results of such candidates in all or any subject/s appeared shall be cancelled. Such candidate shall be debarred from either appearing a specified number of examinations or all future examinations permanently. - The name of the candidate with misconduct in examination shall be reported to his / her employer for initiating disciplinary action. Decision with regards to punishment / penalties taken by C-PEC shall be final and binding. 14. The final result of the examination along with the marks secured in each subject shall normally be communicated to the candidates within two months of conduct of examination. Certificate of Passing shall normally be issued within three months of the conduct of examination. 15. If any candidate requires verification of marks, he/she may request C-PEC within one month of declaration of results with requisite fee as prescribed from time to time. 16. Revaluation shall not be allowed. 17. C-PEC shall be the final authority and have power to amend / delete / alter / add / modify any rules from time to time. In case of any dispute, the decision of the C-PEC shall be final and binding. ****** 5
