Introduction Dear Customers, many thanks for buying the RehaCaddy! You have purchased a mobile workstand of high quality, which has been developed and tested according to recent EU standards. We are sure that the RehaCaddy in conjunction with an adequate computer hard- and software will make a valuable contribution to the integration of handicapped people. The individual adjustment options and simple handling will be a great help and a facilitation for the patients and the nursing staff.

2. Intended Use / Range of Application / Contraindication The RehaCaddy has been designed as a monitor stand for private care of patients. It is used as a monitor mounting which enables the patient to control a PC by eye tracking. Thereby it aids patients who are unable to move by getting an access to the online world and to communicate with other people. The drivability of the RehaCaddy is an important precondition for a fast installation of the hard- and software inside the field of vision of the patient. For the purpose of caring the patient the RehaCaddy can easily and safely be pulled over. The RehaCaddy can carry usual monitors up to 6 kg on condition that they are disposing of a mounting system according to VESA Standard 75 x 75 mm to 100 x 100 mm. Contraindicated are patients who move uncontrollable their arms and legs and therefore endanger the stability of the RehaCaddy. 3. Safety Information Please read the instruction manual completely before use and mounting. Here you get important details for a safe use of your RehaCaddy. The manufacturer does not assume liability for failures and damages which result from non-observance of this instruction manual. Through purchasing and commercial use of this medical device you assume the user duties. Please read up upon these duties. Do not fit any monitor to the RehaCaddy, whose weight is more than the maximum weight of 6 kg. Do not fit any other equipment or units to the RehaCaddy. If you mount any units which are not approved by the manufacturer any warranty claim and the product liability in general will expire. The same applies if units belonging to the RehaCaddy are left out. Move the RehaCaddy only if the monitor is pushed up against the pole. Move particularly slowly and cautious across structural hindrances like steps and edges of carpets. Otherwise there is a risk of tilting! Moving is only allowed when the brakes of the casters are released. Move the RehaCaddy only by catching hold on the rear handle. Lock the casters only if the RehaCaddy has been come to halt. In the course of mounting and moving the monitor arm there is a risk of injury in the form of crushing skin and fingers at moving parts.

5. Assembly Instructions 1 Bolt pole 2 1.000 mm to pre-assembled pole of base hand-screwed. Fit the rear handle to the pole and move it on the pole up to the fastening hole. 3 Mount the rear handle 4 so that the clamp screw is positioned precisely in the fastening hole and tighten it well. Fit the pole mount bracket to the pole and fasten it on a level of approximately 95 cm with the set screw. Tighten the pole clockwise using the rear handle as a lever. Important notice: Tighten the set screws with the Allen key.

5 6 Mounting of the Extension Arm (Accessory): Push the extension arm on the pole up against the pole mount bracket. Push the monitor arm on the pole up against the pole mount bracket. With Extension Arm (Accessory): Fit the monitor arm to the extension arm and lock it with the fastening washer. 7 8 Fit the VESA Display support to the monitor arm from below and adjust it with the set screw. Fit the fastening washer from above and tie it together with the VESA Display Support by using screw M8 x 45.

6. Cleaning Clean the RehaCaddy with a wet cloth and an usual ph neutral household cleaner. Do not use aggressive substances like ammonium chloride, cleaning powder or thinner. Use for wiping disinfection mild and gentle disinfectants which are registered by the DGHM (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie). 7. Storage / Further Use The RehaCaddy is adapted for multiple further use. For storing disassemble the monitor stand in reversed order compared to the assembly instructions (Chapter 5) and repack it dustproof. Clean and disinfect the RehaCaddy before every further use and carry out an maintenance according to chapter 10. In case of transporting the RehaCaddy for further use without the original packaging take care that the component parts would not be damaged by shock or other deleterious effects. 8. Disposal For disposal disassemble the RehaCaddy and bring the components to a scrap metal collection place. Do not dispose it by the domestic waste. Unpressure the gas spring of the monitor arm and depollute the oil. For this purpose contact the manufacturer of the RehaCaddy. 9. Warranty / Durability We guarantee the unobjectionable condition of the RehaCaddy within the limits of our general terms and conditions. We guarantee material defects for 24 months from date of purchase. It is assumed that the product will have a durability of more than five years when its handled carefully. Should the RehaCaddy still be in use after ten years then it should be sent in to the manufacturer for safety check.

10. Maintenance Put the RehaCaddy at least once a year and before every further use to a maintenance comprehending the following articles: Check the running casters up if they are tightened and free-moving. Lock the brackets of the two lockable running casters and check the braking effect. Retighten all screws with the 6 mm Allen key. These are the set screws of the pole mount brackets, the monitor arm, the VESA display support and the rear handle. Check by bouncing the pole if it is fastened carefully at the base. Retighten it if necessary. Check the functioning and prestressing of the gas spring in the monitor arm by moving the monitor up and down. It should easily be movable upwards and not slide down. If the monitor slides down self-acting the gas spring has to be adjusted. If it is not possible to adjust the gas spring it has to be changed. In case of dysfunctions inform the operator who will contact the manufacturer of the RehaCaddy. Here the spare parts can be quickly ordered. Only qualified and skilled personnel is allowed to replace the components. The gas spring is a closed system which is irreparable. You must not open it in any case!
