1. ABOUT THE APPLICATION 1.1. Introduction Puzzle is a multiplayer game ideal for public spaces, such as museums shopping centres or cafes. The application s ease of use makes it suitable for young and old alike. Puzzle is mainly for fun, but can also be used for educational or advertising purposes. As with traditional jigsaw puzzles, the images to be put together and the number of pieces in a puzzle can be selected. The puzzle pieces are spread around the screen and the player s task is to put them together. Completion time is monitored and the user can save their score and name on the Top 10 list. Using multi-touch technology the user can rotate puzzle pieces, and any number of players can take part. The only limitation is the physical size of the table and the number of touchpoints the device has. Puzzle supports a rewards system, significantly expanding its potential. A reward can be assigned to each graphic, and will be displayed after successful completion of a the puzzle. The reward can be a QR code of any content, or a graphics file. One example reward is to win a link to download the image which was put together, or a discount coupon for use in a subsequent visit to the location. This documentation was created to familiarise users with software requirements and functionality, and to facilitate working with Puzzle. 1.2. System Requirements The device on which Puzzle is to be installed must meet the following minimum requirements: Processor: 1.5 GHz or faster Operating system: (64-bit) Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 RAM memory: 2 GB Free disk space: 360 MiB Minimum screen resolution: 1280 720 (HD) Graphics card supporting OpenGL 2.0.! Editing of the language, rotate, and close application buttons. The administrator can decide which of these buttons will be visible to the standard user.! Disabling the off button will result in this button being replaced in normal mode, with the administrator login button in its place Login requires a password to be entered. The default password is admin. When the application s off button is disabled, it is strongly advised to change the default password to another, strong password, particularly if the application will be accessed by the general public. Adding puzzle images. To do this, tap Add images. The administrator can add images from a local source (disk or pendrive) and download images available from the manufacturer s FTP. The application automatically connects to the server and displays the appropriate messages on the screen. Deleting images. In edit mode each image in the top-right corner has a bin icon. Tapping the icon will display a window asking for confirmation to delete that image. Adding rewards to images. In edit mode there is a trophy icon below the aforementioned bin icon. Tapping it opens the edit rewards window. A reward has three properties name, image (optional) and QR code (optional). Leaving the name field blank effectively deletes the reward for that image.
