Depending on power, a module occupies one (150 W), two (300 W), three (450 W) or four slots (600 W). Load Modules The modules are available in four different voltages 40 V, 60 V, 120 V and 240 V and currents from 1 A up to 120 A. Various loads can be configured, e.g.: 1 x 600 W + 1 x 450 W + 2 x 300 W + 1 x 150 W The total power is max. 1,800 W. The loads can therefore be easily configured to test units with multiple outputs. The load inputs are galvanically separated. Very simple systems can therefore be specially configured to requirements with multi-channel Burn-In equipment. Operating Modes and Functions The following operating modes are possible: Current mode 1) Voltage mode 1) Resistance mode 2) Power mode 2) Dynamic mode with up to 100 setting values An adjustable trigger voltage enables current to flow when exceeded. Voltage and current measurement functions are available. Measurement Data Storage A data acquisition function records up to 100 measurement points (time, voltage, current) at each channel and saves it internally. User Interface The master device has a graphical user interface. All channels, also those of connected slave devices 3), can be set. I/O-Port Optional I/O-Port for the following functions. Factory Calibration Certificate Option FCC-PMLAxx) A Factory Calibration Certificate (FCC) can be supplied with the devices. The FCC meets the requirements according to DIN EN ISO 9000ff. This calibration certificate documents the traceability to national standards to illustrate the physical device in accordance with the International System of Units (SI). The recommended calibration interval is 2 year. Software Tools und Drivers For the devices a software tool and a LabVIEW driver are available (in preparation). 1) Hardware-controlled with high-speed control time 2) Software-controlled by programmable control parameters. The control cycle time is 100 µs. 3) Up to 5 slave devices can be connected to a master device. Synchronous start of a load curve Configuration Slots and load modules At each device three cooling units Slot4 (Slot 1-4, 5-8, 9-12) can be installed. At these slots one, two or four modules can be installed, depending on type. Terminals The load terminals are provided at pluggable terminal strips. Cooling The air transport from the front panel to the back panel enables the assembly of compact rack systems without gaps. The temperature-controlled fan control provides a pleasant operating noise. Type Overview Devices and Interfaces are available in the following versions: PMLA-M Master device with USB, RS-232 and LAN interface incl. PMLA system interface for connecting up to 5 slave devices. User interface to control all connected channels. PMLA-S Slave device with PMLA system bus for operating with a master device and output for another slave device. SLOT4 Empty cooler module (without load modules) with 4 free slots (1x, 2x or 3x required per device, depending on number of channels). Programming Programming is done in SCPI syntax. All channels can be individually addressed. Current LabVIEW drivers and tools can be downloaded from our website. Analog Measurement Outputs, Analog Control Input (optional) For each load module, analog measurement outputs 0... 10 V for voltage and load current are available.
