It provides the basic instructions for the disassembly of HP products to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment, as defined by EU directive 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). 1.0 Items Requiring Selective Treatment 1.1 Items listed below are classified as requiring selective treatment. 1.2 Enter the quantity of items contained within the product which require selective treatment in the right column, as applicable. Components, parts and materials containing radioactive substances 2.0 Tools Required List the type and size of the tools that would typically be used to disassemble the product to a point where components and materials requiring selective treatment can be removed. Step 1: Disassemble the MPCBA cover, loosen the screws of MB cover with PH2 screwdriver. 2. Step 2: Disassemble the MPCBA, loosen 3 screws of MB cover with PH2 screwdriver and unplug the connectors of motor/ sensor/ FFC cables. 3. Step 3: Disassemble the ADF FFC Core, release the cord with FFC cable from bottom cover, then take off the core from FFC cable. 4. Step 4: Disassemble the ADF Motor Core from bottom cover hook, remove the core from wire, then remove the FFC cable tape from bottom cover. 5. Step 5: Disassemble the Hinges from bottom cover, pull ahead the ADF and release the hinge hook from top cover. 6. Step 6: Disassemble the ADF Module from top cover and pull out all of the ADF FFC cable / wires from FB module. 7. Step 7: Open the ADF Top Cover Module and release it from ADF module by push one side of shaft, then pull off the gear shaft to release the CRU Module, take off the Pickup-Seperation Roller Module from CRU Base and loosen 2 screws with PH0 screwdriver to disassemble the gears and shafts. 8. Step 8: Disassemble the Input Tray Module by pull out rear side shaft firstly from the low frame, loosen the screw with PH2 screwdriver to release the gears and racks. 9. Step 9: Disassemble the Front-Cover / Rear-Cover, loosen 7 screws with PH2 screwdriver, then pull out the front / rear cover by hand directly from ADF module. 10. Step 10: Disassemble the ADF-Kernel Module, loosen 4 screws with PH2 screwdriver and release it from ADF document lid. 11. Step 11: Disassemble the ADF-Upper-Frame Module, loosen 2 screws with PH2 screwdriver, take off it with hand for hook release from low frame; release the reatrd roller cover from upper frame and take out the retard roller module also. 12. Step 12: Disassemble the ADF-CIS Module, take out the CIS module from low frame and take off the CIS from holder also. 13. Step 13: Disassemble the ADF-Transmission system, loosen four screws with PH2 screwdriver to release the motor plate / grounding plate and wire and remove 3 c-ring to release the gears, loosen 3 screws with PH0 screwdriver to release the motor and grounding plate. 14. Step 14: Disassemble the ADF-Lower-Frame Module, take off document sensor arm, loosen sensor board 1 screw with H2 screwdriver to release the sensor board, take off the right side gears / FFC cable / ground plate and top cover sensor with wire, take off the left side grounding plate and front side static brush, take off 4 bushings to release the scan / exit roller, then take off the scan sensor arm. 15. Step 15: Disassemble the Deliver-Frame Module, loosen 2 screws with PH2 screwdriver and release it from document lid, take off the 2 springs and pull off the pinch roller shaft to release the pinch rollers. 16. Step 16: Disassemble the Document-Lid Module, release the wire pocket loosen 4 screws with PH2 screwdriver to release the hinge module, pull off the hinge shaft to release the insert and spring parts, pull off the exit pinch roller to release the pinch rollers and springs, take off the PP sheet with sponge; 17. Step 17: Disassemble the FB Motor Core and CIS FFC Cable Core, release the motor core with wire from bottom cover, then release the motor core from wire, release FFC cable core from bottom cover directly. 18. Step 18: Disassemble the FB Top Cover, loosen 7 screws with PH2 screwdriver and pull off the top cover rear side firstly from bottom cover. 19. Step 19: Disassemble the Belt, to push the idle pueely gear to loosen the belt from gears; 20. Step 20: Disassemble the FB CIS Module, to push down the CIS holder both side flange to release the FB CIS module. 21. Step 21: Disassemble the ROD & CIS Holder Module, to pull off the shaft with CIS holder module by push back the right side hook. 22. Step 22: Disassemble the FB Home Sensor, take off the sensor from bottom cover by pushing the hook back; 23. Step 23: Disassemble the FB Transmission Module, loosen 3 screws with PH2 screwdriver to release the motor plate, take off 3 c-rings to release the gears, loosen 2 screws with PH0 screw driver to release the motor. 24. Step 24: Disassemble the Function PCBA, loosen 1 screw with PH2 screwdriver to release the grounding wire and PCBA with FFC cable. 25. Step 25: Disassemble the Power PCBA, take off the PCBA with FFC cable by pushing the bottom cover hook back. 3.2 Optional Graphic.
