2 Start up Purchase Purchase esense sets Purchase spare parts (sets) Receive a starter set of PowerTalk licence keys Purchase additional license keys Integrate Integrate esense Validate your completed product Make installation instructions Merge product documentation Train Study manuals Organise your service network Get training for lead engineers Train additional service engineers by yourself 2.1 Purchase Purchase esense sets Esense systems are available in 6 different sets; as Fixed or 360 system, with or without waterproof enclosure or with or without battery pack. Additional parts can be added to these standard configurations. Examples are a mechanical wheel lift system or a set of magnetic keys. Also some alternative components are available that can be exchanged with standard components in a set. Examples are alternative force sensors and a disconnectable charger. A detailed overview of all esense sets and components is listed in the esense component overview that can be downloaded from esense-moves.com. Also ordering rules and examples can be found there. To schedule and shorten delivery times, we prefer ordering of esense sets within a framework agreement. Please contact us to discuss further details. Purchase spare parts (sets) The esense system is an advanced technical product. Despite all effort we put in making the system as stable and robust as possible, like a bicycle or car it may need some service during its lifetime due to wear, misuse or incidental system faults. To handle service efficiently essential spare parts shall be held on stock by your service network. Purchase and distribution of these spare parts is your responsibility. To get you started we offer spare part sets with all relevant parts on a discounted price. Additionally you can order spare parts separately. Receive a starter set of PowerTalk licence keys PowerTalk is our smart Windows app to communicate with esense systems. Features include display of relevant system parameters, customization of esense performance and a system history that plays a central role in troubleshooting. Various types of users can use the software with different user rights. For end users a Level 1 key is available that provides functionality to do software updates and read and send system performance data to a service desk. Level 2 is available for service engineers. Additional to Level 1 this version includes basic settings and display of the system history. The most advanced version of PowerTalk is Level 3 which features extensive settings to tune your esense system. To get you started we provide a generic Level 1 key that can be shared with all your esense clients. Additionally we provide three Level 2 keys for free. Level 3 keys are available for trained engineers only. Level 2 and Level 3 keys are registered on name and are for personal use only. 3

Purchase additional license keys Additional Level 2 keys can be purchased for a small administration fee. Requests shall be sent to sales@indes.eu and shall include, name of the service engineer, name of the (service) organisation, full address and email address of the engineer. 2.2 Integrate Integrate esense Esense is just a set of components. It comes alive only after integration on a mobile product. The various esense sets are designed in such a way that they can easily adapt to the product they are integrated on. Already got a batterypack? Leave the esense battery out! Prefer a single, hidden, sensor over the standard two sensor handles? Use the Central Force sensor! General installation instructions are well documented. For a tailor made solution our engineers can offer an integration and development plan. Options include custom cable lengths, alternative user interface graphics or controls to power more electromotors in your product. Validate your completed product Esense is developed following EC directives for machines, medical equipment and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility). However the esense system on its own is just a set of components, and not a functional product. You, as integrator, are responsible to make sure the completed product that include the esense system, complies to all applicable directives. This responsibility includes for instance creation of a risk analysis and evaluation and testing of your product on applicable standards. To ease this process for you we provide a Declaration of Incorporation. This document states that relevant requirements of the Machinery and EMC directives are fulfilled for the esense components when all guidelines from the esense installation manual are followed strictly. Due to the rather unpredictable nature, performance of an EMC validation test on the completed product is advised in most customized integrations Make installation instructions Whether you want to install esense in serial production or just on a few products in the field, always document the steps of installation. By doing that you can make sure the system is always installed in an identical way. This makes installation efficient and prevents faults. Also maintenance can be handled in a uniform manner. Merge product documentation Documentation for esense includes an installation and service manual, a user manual and a troubleshoot guide. Sections of the various documents may be customized and merged with your own product documentation. All documentation is available in English. Source files in Word format are available on request. Translation of documentation to other languages shall be done by you. Please be aware that in most cases the user manual shall be available in the official languages of the country where the product is sold. When merging esense instructions with your own documentation, please make sure to maintain compliance with applicable standards. In case you are not sure, do not leave out or change any information from our original manual. 2.3 Train Study manuals All documentation for esense can be downloaded from esense-moves.com/documentation9000. Any engineer involved in integration and service of esense systems should be aware of this source. Updates to the various documents are made available on the website and changes are listed in a revision table at the end of each document. Organise your service network Before you start production and sales you need to make sure to organize a solid service network to maintain operation of all products in the field. Esense systems are generally integrated on large and heavy products that cannot easily be transported for repair. Evaluate if your network is ready to meet the quality and reaction time your customers expect. Get training for lead engineers 4

We can provide training for your lead installation and service engineers. A standard training for a group of max. 6 engineers takes half a day and covers introduction of esense components, do s and don ts in installation, use of PowerTalk and hands-on troubleshooting. After attending the training engineers qualify to receive a PowerTalk Level 3 license key. Please contact us for details and pricing of training. Train additional service engineers by yourself All other engineers working with esense shall be trained by yourself. To make sure you cover all topics you can use the training overview available on our documentation page. 5

3 Production and distribution Production Install esense on your products Register product info with PowerTalk Update and tune your systems with PowerTalk Do an end test Distribution Share PowerTalk Level 1 with your client base Share PowerTalk Level 2 and 3 with your service network Distribute spare parts in your service network Introduction Create awareness and promote esense Bring your product to the market 3.1 Production Install esense on your products Install esense systems following the instructions you created during the integration process. A removable service ID sticker can be found on the esense Controller Box. A relevant step in installation is to attach this sticker on the outside of your product. Preferably it is attached next to the label of the completed product. The service ID is digitally registered in the esense Controller Box and is used as system reference. Register product info with PowerTalk Additional product info can be registered. Fields are available for the type of completed product, its serial number and the installation date. This information will be helpful in identification and handling of the esense system during its lifetime. Update and tune your systems with PowerTalk With PowerTalk you can check if new software is available for your esense system. Updates can be installed in a few simple steps. Standard system settings are suitable for most installations, but PowerTalk provides additional options for finetuning. Do an end test Finish installation by doing a short end test. An example protocol can be found in the installation manual. 3.2 Distribution Share PowerTalk Level 1 with your client base PowerTalk Level 1 is available for all your end users. For installation of the software a generic key will be shared with you. You can distribute this freely by for instance email or a web link. Share PowerTalk Level 2 and 3 with your service network PowerTalk Level 2 and Level 3 keys are issued on name and are strictly for personal use. Keys are first shared with you and you can further distribute them within your service network. Additional Level 2 keys may be purchased for a small registration fee. Distribute spare parts in your service network 6

Make sure your partners have the necessary service parts readily available. Distribution of spare parts within your network is your responsibility. We do not ship to individual partners. 3.3 Introduction Create awareness and promote esense Much more than a smooth technical system, esense is a solution to improve working conditions. Prevention of work related injury and improvement of work efficiency are important factors to justify investment. To communicate and quantify this a brochure on work related health and various marketing leaflets are available. Also the website esense-moves.com features a number of cases, highlighting the long term effects of the system. The esense Ergometer is a measurement tool to visualise and quantify work stress due to pushing and pulling of heavy mobile products. The Ergometer can be mounted on any mobile product and measures all push and pull forces of users during a week. Afterwards the data is automatically analysed and compared to international health and safety legislation. The risk on physical injury in actual work situations is clearly visualised. The Ergometer will be available Autumn 2018. Additional information can be found on the esense-moves website. Bring your product to the market You are well prepared now. Go for it! 7

4 Service Maintenance Perform periodical maintenance Plan preventive maintenance with PowerTalk Service Get a service request Receive a PowerTalk system report Update the system software Solve the issue remotely or prepare a visit Perform service, use PowerTalk for troubleshooting Recollect Send a service form Collect and return failing components Receive new or refurbished components under warranty.. Alternatively buy new or repaired components 4.1 Maintenance Perform periodical maintenance Required periodical maintenance is minimal. Keep the wheel axles clean of hair and dust, and regularly check wear and damage of the wheel tyre. Plan preventive maintenance with PowerTalk The usage screen of PowerTalk shows use time information of esense components in relation to an average theoretical lifetime. Analysis of this information is helpful in planning preventive replacement of wear parts like the battery pack and the electric drive wheel. 4.2 Service Get a service request You will probably receive service requests from your end users mostly by phone. The product concerned is easily identified by asking for the esense service ID. Pinpointing of a service issue can often be done quickly by asking for the detailed service indication displayed on the esense User Interface. This code consists of a combination of service and battery indication LEDs. Receive a PowerTalk system report In case more insight is needed, request the client to connect the esense system to PowerTalk. PowerTalk Level 1 can be distributed completely free of charge. After connection a report with detailed system data, including an extensive system history log, can be saved and sent. Update the system software Take advantage of any service request! With PowerTalk Level 1 your clients can perform software updates via the USB connection on the esense User Interface. This way esense products are always driving on latest, most stable and advanced, software. Solve the issue remotely or prepare a visit After interpretation of the service indications on the esense User interface or analysis of the PowerTalk report, many issues can already be solved remotely by giving additional use instruction or performing a software update. 8

In case the issue cannot be solved remotely, service engineers can do their visit well prepared. The esense troubleshoot guide presents step by step repair strategies. With these in mind the engineer will always arrive with the right components at hand. Perform service, use PowerTalk for troubleshooting By following the step by step strategies from the troubleshoot guide service is performed efficiently. The PowerTalk Values screen, with live display of relevant system parameters, confirms correct system performance after repair. 4.3 Recollect Send a service form Indes, the manufacturer of esense, holds record of service performance. This information is used for instance to plan product improvement. Therefore it is kindly requested to notify Indes on all service cases by filling the service form that can be downloaded from esense-moves.com/documentation9000. Filling the service form is obligatory when components are returned for warranty or repair. In these cases a digital copy of the service form must be sent to service@indes.eu, shortly after the service visit. Collect and return failing components Service may often be performed by your service network. Components to be replaced under warranty or components that need repair shall be recollected by you. Only complete components or spare parts, as described in detail in the esense Component specification are applicable for warranty. They can be sent to the Indes address marked on the service form. Preferably this is done periodically, in batches and in original packaging. Each replaced component shall be accompanied by a fully filled service form. Receive new or refurbished components under warranty Indes grants warranty on component defects which appear within a period of 24 months after Indes invoice date. Normal wear and tear and misuse are excluded. For battery packs alternative conditions apply. Warranty is valid on components only and not on any additional costs, like labour or shipment. At receival Indes will perform an inspection on the component, the service form and the PowerTalk report. If warranty conditions are met, the product will be replaced or repaired by Indes free of charge. Indes preserves the right to return a refurbished component of equal quality. The component will be shipped to you, and further distribution in your service network shall be done by you. In exceptional situations warranty may be granted without return of the failing component, for instance when return of the component is complex and expensive and fault analysis can clearly be done on analysis of a service form and PowerTalk report. Judgement of these situations is made by the Indes service desk. Alternatively buy new or repaired components For components with no warranty, separate replacement parts can be purchased. A detailed parts price list is available. Alternatively components may be offered for repair. Costs and lead time of repair are offered after receival and analysis of the component. 9
