Libra Max Base Station Equipment MAXimum Scalability Operating in the 3.3 to 3.6 GHz spectrum, the carrier class Libra MAX base station is available in three form factors. All Libra MAX base station configurations share a common CompactPCI platform making the Libra MAX highly modular. A card-based architecture lets service providers optimize for network density and functional requirements. Libra MAX Cards fit all base station form factors reducing equipment and sparing costs, and improving your ability to meet SLAs. Libra MAX/2 Base Station The MAX/2 base station is an ideal solution for service providers who require a cost effective and high performance entry-level base station in low-density rural areas. The micro base station takes 1U of space in a 19 rack, supports two hot swappable sectors and is available as an AC or DC chassis. The base station can be backhauled over a 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet link through the Carrier backbone or over a wireless link using an integrated high performance backhaul card. Libra MAX/8 Base Station The MAX/8 base station is a carrier grade solution that offers service providers the performance and capacity required for robust suburban and urban high-density deployments. The MAX/8 macro base station has a high capacity compact 4U chassis that fits into a 19 rack. It supports up to six hot swappable sectors with redundancy. The MAX/8 base station is ideal for multi-sector point-to-multipoint environments requiring denser coverage and increased capacity. This configuration is ideal for collocated point-to-point and point-tomultipoint solutions. Libra MAX/16 Base Station The MAX/16 base station is the ultimate in capacity, flexibility and reliability for urban high-density applications. Support for six fully redundant sectors and integrated backhaul in this vertical chassis makes this the perfect solution for commercial grade mission-critical networks. Due to its expansion room, the MAX/16 base station is also ideal for offering triple play highbandwidth services including voice, video and data.

High Performance Flexible Architecture The Libra MAX Indoor/Outdoor Units The Libra MAX is designed with a high performance flexible architecture that distributes processing power and network functions between the Indoor Unit and Outdoor Unit. System Controller Card The System Controller Card provides a central point for base station management and administration. It simplifies configuration and monitoring of individual sectors in a multi-sector environment. The system controller card is responsible for monitoring the health of the base station and executing redundancy control. Libra MAX Outdoor Units The Outdoor Unit (ODU) is an environmentally hardened, high power, multi-carrier radio that connects to an external antenna. An ODU is selected to meet a carrier s licensed frequency range, duplexing format and network redundancy requirements and is paired with a sector card to deliver MAC and PHY layer functions. ODUs are powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and are available with several mounting options.

Enterprise MDU/MTU Making use of Libra MAX, service providers can increase their ARPU by offering more services to more subscribers without increasing their infrastructure costs. In fact, the Libra MAX MTU/ MDU solution works with traditional wireline infrastructure and makes use of the advanced networking features in NetMOS to provide layer-2 customer separation. With Libra MAX, service providers can extend their physical reach--adding more MDU/MTU organizations- -as well as reduce costs and increase their overall subscriber base. Urban Hotzones EION s hotzone solution raises the bar for reliability, speed and coverage.
