The module can connect one sender with up to four different receivers. To ensure transmission security, the -Bridge comes equipped with AES- 128 to encrypt 2-wire connections. The power for the up to four Intercom stations and other client devices such as loudspeakers, cameras etc. is provided via the 2-wire line using Power over Ethernet (PoE). This device shall be installed or replaced by trained and qualified personnel only. Only use recommended tools when installing the device. Do not place the device in areas where it may become wet or damp, and avoid dusty, humid and high temperature environments. All connected electric circuits must fulfill the safety requirements for safety extra-low voltage (SELV) and limited power supply (LPC) according to IEC/EN 60950-1. Only accessories that comply with the device s technical specifications shall be used. Before using the device, ensure all cables are connected correctly and not damaged. Disconnect the power cable and the 2-wire cable from the device for any maintenance. PoE over 2-wire does not comply with Commend 2-wire technology. Allow the device to cool down completely before touching parts inside. Do not make any unauthorised modifications to the device. Note: This is a Class A product. In a domestic environment, this product may cause radio interference in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures. Mounting in flush or surface mount kit of Series WS Optionally, the module can be mounted in any surface and flush mount kit of the Series WS (without housing of the module). Connect the Ethernet cable from the LAN to the -Bridge module (sender). 2. Connect the -Bridge modules using a 2-wire cable. One sender and up to four receivers can be share the same 2-wire connection. Note: Make sure the polarity of the 2-wire connections is not swapped and + and are connected correctly. 3. Connect the external power supply (48 56 VDC, consumed power max. 60 W) to the desired -Bridge modules. As soon as the external power supply is connected to the sender, the power supply for the receiver is available via the 2-wire cable. Additional -Bridge modules can be connected in parallel via a 2-wire cable. Note: When in delivery state, the -Bridge modules are running in connection mode. When the -Bridge modules are connected via a 2-wire cable, an unencrypted connection is established automatically. Establishing an AES-128 encrypted connection 4. Press the button Grp on all -Bridge modules on the 2-wire connection for approx. 15 seconds, starting with the sender. All LEDs will light up briefly and go off shortly after. These -Bridge modules are now reset and in not connected mode. 5. Press the button Grp on the sender for approx. 2 seconds. The LED PoE blinks and the sender is ready for pairing. 6. Press the button Grp on the receiver that shall be assigned to the respective sender for approx. 2 seconds. The LED PoE blinks for a few seconds and the -Bridge modules are connecting to each other. The receiver is now assigned to the sender and has established an encrypted connection once the LED STATUS is switched on/flickering. Note: If you want to pair further receivers with the sender, connect the sender and the receiver using a 2-wire cable (see step 2. ). Now, switch the second receiver in not connected mode (see step 4. ). Finally, press the button Grp on the sender for approx. 2 seconds and then press the button Grp on the receiver for approx. 2 seconds (same LED behaviour as described in step 6 ). Repeat this step for all receivers to be connected to the sender. Attention: If the connection is not encrypted, the data transfer might be disrupted due to interference. Quality tested. Reliable.
