CATALOGUE SEARCH 5 From every page you can use Search in the side menu for fast searching. The catalogue search page gives you more options, including selecting a brand. We have greatly improved the way we present your search results. If your search produces lots of results, we now group them by brand and you can also choose to view in-stock items only. YOUR BASKET 7 Every time you add items to your order, they will be stored on your basket page. Items can also be added to your order directly from this page. Just type in the item code, verify the code is correct by clicking on the button, select quantity and click on Add to basket. You can also delete items and edit item quantities. Once you re ready to place an order, click on the Checkout button to proceed. You can use the Linecode field to store any of your own information relating to the item, this can be for example a project or an internal cost centre code. 8 SUBMITTING AN ORDER Step 1 - Purchase order reference and other details You ll need to provide your purchase order reference when placing an order. From this window you can specify shipment types, select contact persons or elect to pay by credit card. If you have any special instructions on the order, make a note in the Comments field which will flag to us for action. Once you re ready, click on the Proceed button at the bottom of the page. If you re not authorised to submit orders direct, refer to the page on Held Orders for authorisation step. Step 2 - Verify the details of your order Once you re ready, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page. You will receive an email confirming the receipt of your order. PLACING AN ORDER - USING QUICK CHECKOUT 9 When using the Quick Checkout feature, account setup details will be used by default for order confirmation, payment and delivery. 10 USING TEMPLATES Templates are an ideal way to store a shopping list of your most frequently used products. You can refer to your templates anytime without searching for the same products each time. You can either save the items in your basket as a template or you can create a brand new template from the templates page. Simply follow the instructions on the screen. 12 USING HELD ORDERS / REQUISITIONS Jack at XYZ company browses godirect and wants to purchase items but is not authorised to submit orders. He places the items in his order and saves it as a held order. Susan is an authorised purchaser for the XYZ company and she is linked as the designated authoriser for Jack s orders. Anytime Jack saves a held order, she will get an email requesting authorisation. Susan then logs in and finds Jack s order on the Held Orders page. REPORTS 13 The Reports and Invoices menu is the place to find your invoices, previous orders and statements. You can track your order and invoice history easily and you can also set up reports to be emailed to you on a regular basis. To setup a report simply follow the instructions on screen. 14 INVOICES & ORDERS Using a variety of search criteria, you can search for any Thermo Fisher Scientific invoice or order from the last six months. Your search results will be linked to either your original order or an invoice copy. All orders and invoices are inter-linked so you can easily browse between them. 16 FREIGHT TRACKING We have integrated freight tracking with our major partners so that you can easily track where your shipments are at any time. Click on Freight Tracking and all your shipments from the last 20 days will be displayed. MSDS 17 A new feature on godirect will let you view and download Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Simply search for the item and then click on View MSDS from the search results.
