Making more of your legacy cabling CoCo gives power to your existing coax CoCo is a small box that does big things for hotels and for guests. It converts a coax network into an IP network and then turbo-charges it to deliver carrier-grade IP connectivity. The result? A network that enables guests to connect and consume content the way they expect today and future-proofing tomorrow. - Broadband speeds up to 880Mbps - Delivers in-room high-speed WiFi - Enables guests to enjoy new Smart TV functionality and interactive services - Universally deployable across coax With minimal disruption and at typically 20%* of the cost of re-cabling. *based on the cost of re-cabling a 190 room hotel, over 10 floors with Cat 6 cable
Enabling hospitality to deliver what guests expect Delivering a home-from-home TV experience Guests now expect a superb quality WiFi experience in their room to access, share and stream content and they expect to enjoy a TV experience that the latest range of feature-rich, web-enabled Smart TVs can offer. The hoteliers challenge The majority of hotels (approx 75% globally) are operating a coaxial network, not a CAT5/6 network, and the costs and disruption associated with re-cabling make this option prohibitive for most properties. The CoCo Solution - CoCo cost-effectively delivers a WiFi access point and wired port in each guest room, providing the sort of bandwidth speeds that guests now expect from a hotel. Guests can enjoy the full functionality of the latest Smart TVs.
Available to the hospitality industry for the first time Quadriga has developed a powerful new single headend box called CoCo, featuring the latest DOCSIS 3.0 technology * powered by Broadcom. CoCo makes commercial sense for the industry and drives guest satisfaction. A tailored hospitality solution Designed for a typical distributed network architecture without the need for expensive backend equipment Supports up to 200 rooms with cable modems in each room Needs little space, no controlled environment, no air conditioning Supports the IP and TV network from a single headend Delivers extra security and network simplification * based on the cost of re-cabling a 190 room hotel, over 10 floors with Cat 6 cable
A cost effective solution making commercial sense Average cost comparisons show that CoCo delivers carrier-grade IP connectivity into each room via the existing coax infrastructure, for approximately 20% of the costs * incurred through re-cabling. Deploying new Cat 5/6 infrastructure is labour intensive, causes disruption and requires a new fibre backbone, new core/access switches and may not even be possible to install for certain properties due to building/fire regulations. CoCo uses DOCSIS 3.0 technology (8x download speed and 30x upload speed compared with earlier DOCSIS technology.) CoCo offers a cost effective method to upgrade network capacity for smaller network segments with up to 200 modems. Multiple CoCo boxes can also be deployed per property. * based on the cost of re-cabling a 190 room hotel, over 10 floors with Cat 6 cable
CoCo delivering experience on a SMARTer scale Smart TVs offer guests an immersive entertainment experience, allowing them to access, stream and share content as they do at home. The bandwidth speeds to fully appreciate the Smart TV interactive experience has traditionally been delivered by Ethernet Cat5/6 cabling. CoCo provides speeds of up to 880Mbps, allowing hotels to benefit from Smart TV including a hospitality GUI, remote channel management, IP TV channels and PMS integration.
CoCo converting coax in all types of accommodation CoCo is not just optimised for hospitality. CoCo can be installed in practically any accommodation with separate residential units including retirement and care homes, student housing and even cruise ships. In fact, wherever there is an existing coax connection, CoCo can be deployed.
CoCo delivering a WiFi service to meet your guest expectations Providing guests with the WiFi experience they expect, with broadband speeds comparable to Ethernet or Cat 5/6 networks. As the number of mobile devices being carried increases and applications become more bandwidthhungry, having a WiFi access point per guest room is becoming the standard. CoCo provides hoteliers with a cost-effective option to deliver this.
