The Editor user interface guides you through selecting a presentation skin, syncing presentation slides, images, and other resources, previewing, and publishing your presentation locally or to your website. Editor software can import RealPresence Capture Station presenations and integrates with Manager software using the new Media Manager Wizard. Polycom RealPresence Media Editor Release Notes 6.6.0.6 Support for standard and widescreen resolutions for output videos Automatic generation of standard or widescreen mobile output for video based on the input source New Media Manager Wizard to enable integration of Editor software with Manager software, including automatically publishing presentations to Manager content and streaming servers, and scanning into RealPresence Media Manager content library and available on portals The Manager Player skin is now available in Editor software Using the new Media Manager Player skin, you can generate standard or widescreen slides independent of the input media source resolution Support for editing.mov files Support for 16:9 and 4:3 image slides when using the Media Manager Wizard.jpeg-only thumbnails for compatibility with Manager software Upgrading to Editor 6.6 Software Contact your authorized Polycom Support representative to determine your eligibility and obtain the necessary software product license keys before starting the upgrade procedure. Note: Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Pro is required You need to install Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Pro before installing Editor software. Step 1: Uninstall Previous Versions of Editor software The first step is to uninstall the old version of Editor software. To uninstall a previous version of RealPresence Capture Station software: In the Windows Control Panel, in Programs and Features, select Polycom RealPresence Media Editor and click Uninstall. Step 2: Install Editor 6.6 Software Once the previous version is uninstalled, you can unzip and install the Editor 6.6 software. To install RealPresence Capture Station 6.5 software: 1 Right-click the PRME_v6.6.0.7 zip icon, select Open with..., and then click Windows Explorer. 2 Click Extract All. Browse to a folder and click Unzip. iii
3 Right-click PRME_v6.6.0.7.exe and select Run as Administrator. 4 In the Editor InstallShield Wizard, read the warning, and click the Next button. 5 Read the End User License Agreement (EULA), select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click the Next button. 6 Complete the remaining steps in the Editor InstallShield Wizard and click the Install button. Interoperability with Manager Software The following table shows the tested interoperability between versions of Editor and Manager software.
