Abut Cntrl Panel The DcAve Cntrl Panel is the central interface fr managing DcAve and hw it interacts with yur SharePint envirnments. Cntrl Panel is als integrated int ther DcAve prducts, which enables yu t cnfigure relevant settings withut having t leave the interface f the mdule yu are using. Befre Yu Begin Refer t the sectins belw fr system requirements fr Cntrl Panel. Cnfiguratin In rder t use Cntrl Panel, the DcAve 6 platfrm must be installed and cnfigured prperly n yur farm. Cntrl Panel will nt functin withut DcAve 6 present n the farm. Agents DcAve Agents are respnsible fr running DcAve jbs and interacting with the SharePint bject mdel. DcAve Agents enable DcAve Manager t cmmunicate with the respective servers, allwing fr Cntrl Panel cmmands t functin prperly. *Nte: The use f system resurces n a server increases when the installed agent is perfrming actins. This may affect server perfrmance. Hwever, if the agent installed n a server is nt being used, the use f system resurces is very lw and, therefre, the effect n server perfrmance is negligible. Getting Started Refer t the sectins belw fr imprtant infrmatin n getting started with Cntrl Panel. Launching Cntrl Panel T launch Cntrl Panel and access its functinality, fllw the instructins belw: 1. Lg in t DcAve. If yu are already in the sftware, click the DcAve tab. 2. Frm the DcAve tab, click Cntrl Panel t launch Cntrl Panel. Alternatively, yu can click the Cntrl Panel icn ( sftware t launch Cntrl Panel. ) frm anywhere within the DcAve Figure 1: Cntrl Panel icn n DcAve hme page. 8 DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel

Understanding Cntrl Panel Cntrl Panel has three key grups f cmpnents: System Settings This is where yu can view and manage yur DcAve settings, managers, agents, authenticatin, licenses and prduct versin. All f these functins are perfrmed in Cntrl Panel s that yu can easily access them withut leaving the interface fr yur current task in DcAve. Applicatin Settings This is where yu can cnfigure settings affect cmmn tasks perfrmed by all DcAve prducts. All f these settings are cnfigured in Cntrl Panel s that yu can easily access them withut leaving the interface fr yur current task in DcAve. Specific Prducts Settings Certain prducts in DcAve utilize preset cnfiguratins fr certain functinalities. While these settings may nt affect all DcAve prducts, all f these settings are cnfigured in Cntrl Panel because they can be leveraged by mre than ne prduct. DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel 9

Accessing Cntrl Panel Since features in Cntrl Panel verlaps with s many prducts, it is imprtant that it is easily accessible, but nt disruptive f yur current task. Fr this reasn, while there are many ways t access Cntrl Panel, the interface pens as a ppup windw s that yu can remain n whichever page yu are n, and when yu are finished cnfiguring settings in Cntrl Panel, clsing it will return yu t the page yu were n. T access Cntrl Panel: 1. 2. 3. 4. Click the DcAve tab, and then click Cntrl Panel in the left panel t launch Cntrl Panel. At any pint while in DcAve, click the Cntrl Panel icn ( launch Cntrl Panel. ) in the upper left hand crner t While in the interface f a certain prduct, if the prduct utilizes a feature in Cntrl Panel, clicking n that feature n the ribbn f the prduct page will bring up the Cntrl Panel ppup windw with the apprpriate tab pen. Whenever yu are finished cnfiguring settings in Cntrl Panel, clse the windw t return t the previus screen yu were n. 10 DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel

System Settings General System Settings in Cntrl Panel allws yu t custmize the way DcAve interacts with yur SharePint envirnment. Here yu can manage DcAve managers and agents, cnfigure DcAve settings, and perfrm DcAve administrative tasks. Mnitr Mnitr DcAve Cntrl Panel includes a Manager Mnitr and an Agent Mnitr. These prvide yu with cntrl ver the DcAve managers and agents installed n yur SharePint envirnment. System Optins In System Optins, yu can cnfigure General Settings, and Security Settings. Managers In Cntrl Panel, there are Authenticatin managers and DcAve managers; Authenticatin managers include the Authenticatin Manager and the Accunt Manager, which gives yu cntrl ver wh has access t and what they can d in DcAve. DcAve managers include the License Manager and the Update Manager. These let yu view and manage which DcAve prducts yu have access t, and what versin f DcAve yu are using. The mnitr features in the Cntrl Panel f DcAve allw yu t view and manage DcAve manager services and DcAve agents: Manager Mnitr Here yu can view and cnfigure yur DcAve manager services currently installed n yur SharePint envirnment. With Manager Mnitr, yu can als perfrm basic maintenance peratins n yur manager services shuld a manager service ever becmes unrespnsive r is having issues, r yu may temprarily disable the DcAve Manager services t perfrm a server maintenance. Agent Mnitr Here yu can view and cnfigure yur DcAve agents currently installed n yur SharePint envirnment. This can be useful if there is a change in persnnel, and the SharePint accunt that the Agent uses t cmmunicate with SharePint needs t be changed. With Agent Mnitr, yu can als perfrm basic maintenance peratins n yur agents if an agent ever becmes unrespnsive r is having issues, r temprarily disable the DcAve Agent service t perfrm server maintenance. Using Manager Mnitr T access Manager Mnitr, in the Cntrl Panel interface, click Manager Mnitr under the Mnitr heading. In Manager Mnitr, yu will see a list f manager services which have been registered t the current DcAve Cntrl service. Yu can custmize hw yur manager services are displayed in the fllwing ways: Search Filters the manager services displayed by the keywrd yu designate; the keywrd must be cntained in a clumn value. At the tp f the Manager Mnitr viewing pane, enter the keywrd fr the manager service(s) yu want t display. Yu can select t Search all pages r Search current page. Manage clumns ( ) Manages which clumns are displayed in the list s that nly the infrmatin yu want t see is displayed. Click the manage clumns buttn ( ), then select the checkbx next t the clumn name t have that clumn shwn in the list. Hide the clumn ( ) Hver ver the clumn name yu want t hide, and then click the hide the clumn buttn ( ). Filter the clumn ( ) Filters which item in the list is displayed. Unlike Search, yu can filter whichever item yu want, rather than search based n a keywrd. Hver ver the clumn name yu want t filter, then click the filter the clumn buttn ( ), and then select the checkbx next t the item name t have that item shwn in the list. T remve all f the filters, click Clear Filter. Once yur manager services are apprpriately displayed, yu can select a manager service by selecting the checkbx next t the Service Name, then click: Cnfigure If yu select a media service, this buttn will becme available. Click Cnfigure n the ribbn t access the Cnfigure interface. Here yu can cnfigure the cache lcatin settings and adjust the free space threshld. If mre than ne cache lcatin is cnfigured fr the media service, DcAve will stre cache data accrding t the rder f the cache lcatins listed here. Yu can change the rder in which the cache lcatins are listed in by selecting its desired place in the list frm the crrespnding drp-dwn menu under the Order clumn. Once all f the cache lcatins are full, the ldest data will be deleted t make rm fr new data. The fllwing settings may be cnfigured fr a Media Service: Cache Lcatin The cache lcatin saves the index database which stres the index f the backup data. By default, the cache lcatin is set t: \AvePint\DcAve6\Manager\Media\Cache. Click Add Cache Lcatin t create a new cache lcatin. A new windw will pp up where yu can select a Device Type in the crrespnding drp-dwn menu, which can be a Lcal Path r a UNC Path. If yu select Lcal Path, in the Destinatin field, enter the Lcal Path in the Lcal path text bx. If yu select UNC Path, enter the UNC Path, Username and Passwrd in the crrespnding text bxes in the Destinatin field. 12 DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel

*Nte: If yur envirnment is the Media service High Availability envirnment, yu can nly select the UNC Path as the Device Type; therwise, the test will fail. Click Validatin Test t verify that the infrmatin entered prvides access t the crrespnding path. Then click OK t add the new cache lcatin, r click Cancel t exit this page withut saving the cnfiguratins. Threshld The threshld yu set will be the lwest amunt f free space a cache lcatin can have befre either anther cache lcatin (if cnfigured) is used, r the data is deleted. T set the Threshld, enter the number in Megabytes int the crrespnding text bx. *Nte: By default, the threshld is 1024 MB. If the cache lcatin is in the system disk, keep at least 1024 MB f free space t ensure that the perfrmance f the perating system is nt affected. Refresh Select a cache lcatin then click Refresh n the ribbn t update the amunt f free space the selected cache lcatin has. Delete Select a cache lcatin, then click Delete n the ribbn t delete the selected cache lcatin. *Nte: The media service must have at least ne cache lcatin. If yu attempt t delete the nly cache lcatin cnfigured fr a media service, an errr message will pp up, and the selected cache lcatin will nt be deleted. DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel Once yu are finished cnfiguring the media service, click OK t save the cnfiguratins and return t the Manager Mnitr interface, r click Cancel t return t the Manager Mnitr interface withut saving any changes. View Details Click View Details n the ribbn t bring up the View Details page with infrmatin abut the selected manager service. Ntificatin Selectin Click Ntificatin Selectin n the ribbn t cnfigure e-mail ntificatin settings. The specified recipients in the selected ntificatin prfile will be sent an e-mail when the Manager service is inactive. In the Ntificatin Selectin page, select a previusly cnfigured ntificatin prfile frm the drp-dwn menu r select New Ntificatin Prfile t set up a new e-mail ntificatin prfile. Fr mre infrmatin abut hw t cnfigure ntificatin, refer t the User Ntificatin Settings sectin in this user guide. Restart Click Restart n the ribbn t restart the selected managing service. This is useful in situatins where the manager is sluggish, r if a jb it is running hangs. Yu can restart the manager service and try again. *Nte: Any jbs that are running when yu restart the manager service will fail. Remve Click Remve n the ribbn t remve the selected manager service frm the Manager Mnitr. The remved manager service will n lnger be used by the cntrl 13

service. Yu can nly remve manager services that have a dwn arrw ( Status clumn. *Nte: This des nt uninstall the manager service. ) in the Deactivate Click Deactivate n the ribbn t deactivate the selected manager service. Once the manager service is deactivated, it is marked as Inactive, and will nt be used by the current cntrl service. Hwever, the deactivated service will still run nrmally. This is useful when yu want t perfrm maintenance n a specified DcAve Manager server. *Nte: Any jbs that are running when yu deactivate the manager service will fail. Activate Click Activate n the ribbn t activate the selected manager service. Once the manager service is activated, it is marked as Active, and will be used by the current cntrl service. When yu are finished viewing and managing yur manager services, click Clse n the ribbn t clse the Manager Mnitr tab and return t the Cntrl Panel main page. Using Agent Mnitr T access Agent Mnitr, in the Cntrl Panel interface, click Agent Mnitr under the Mnitr heading. In Agent Mnitr, yu will see a list f DcAve agents which have been registered t the current DcAve Cntrl service. Yu can custmize hw yur agents are displayed in the fllwing ways: Search Filters the agents displayed by the keywrd yu designate; the keywrd must be cntained in a clumn value. Mde The current wrk mde f the Agent. Versin The DcAve versin f each registered Agent. Farm Name The name f the farm where the Agent resides. Agent Type The number f the selected Agent types fr each registered Agent. Last Registratin Time The last registratin time f the Agent. 14 DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel

Envirnment Details The detailed infrmatin f the envirnment where the Agent is installed. Message The prmpted errr infrmatin fr the Agent. If an errr ccurred t the Agent, click Message in this clumn and the detailed errr infrmatin will be displayed in the pp-up windw. Hide the clumn ( ) Click the hide the clumn buttn ( ) in the clumn name t hide the clumn. Filter the clumn ( ) Filters which item in the list is displayed. Unlike Search, yu can filter whichever item yu want, rather than search based n a keywrd. Click the filter the clumn buttn ( ) in the clumn yu want t filter, and then select the checkbx next t the item name t have that item shwn in the list. T remve all f the filters, click Clear Filter. Once yur DcAve agents are apprpriately displayed, yu can select an agent by selecting the checkbx next t the Agent Name, and then click: Cnfigure Once yu select an agent, this buttn will becme available. Click Cnfigure n the ribbn t access the Agent Cnfiguratin interface. Here yu can cnfigure the SharePint Accunt fr the agent as well as the agent type. SharePint Accunt The SharePint Accunt is used by the DcAve agent t prvide DcAve with access and cntrl t yur SharePint envirnment. By default, the Select a previusly created managed accunt prfile radi buttn is selected. Select a previusly-cnfigured prfile frm the drp-dwn list, r click New Managed Accunt Prfile t create a new prfile. Fr mre infrmatin n hw t create a new managed accunt prfile, refer t the Managing the Managed Accunt Prfile sectin in this user guide. Select the Create a new managed accunt prfile radi buttn and enter the Username and Passwrd fr the desired accunt int the crrespnding text bx. The accunt cnfigured here must have the required permissins fr the DcAve prducts that are enabled. Fr mre infrmatin n the minimum permissins required, refer t the Appendix D: Permissin Requirement fr DcAve Mdules in the DcAve 6 Installatin Guide. *Nte: After the changes take effect, the entered username and passwrd will be autmatically saved as a new managed accunt prfile. Yu can verify the newly saved managed accunt prfile by ging t the Managed Accunt Prfile interface. Agent Type Cnfiguratin In rder t use a certain prduct, the crrespnding agent type must first be cnfigured. Befre selecting the prduct, the necessary Agent(s) fr that prduct must already be installed. Fr mre infrmatin, refer t DcAve 6_Installatin_Guide. DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel 15

T cnfigure the agent type fr the agent, select the checkbx next t the crrespnding prduct. Yu can navigate thrugh the different prduct suites that are enabled fr yu by clicking n the name f the suite. The prducts that supprt SharePint Online are Granular Backup, Administratr, Cntent Manager, Replicatr, File System Migratin, and SharePint Migratin. *Nte: If yur DcAve 6 Service Pack 3 is upgraded frm DcAve 6 Service Pack 2, under the On Premise tab, the SQL Server Data Manager checkbx and the High Availability checkbx are deselected by default; under the Registered SharePint Sites tab, the File System Migratin checkbx and the SharePint Migratin checkbx are deselected by default. If desired, yu can manually select these checkbxes after purchasing the crrespnding licenses. Cnfiguratin File Uplad agent cnfiguratin files t the Manager server and change them fr the specified agents. Select the desired DcAve Agents in Agent Mnitr and click Cnfiguratin File n the ribbn t change the cnfiguratin file fr them. In the pp-up windw, click OK t cnfirm the mdificatin actin and yu will be redirected t the cnfiguratin page. Brwse Cnfiguratin File Uplad the cnfiguratin file t the Manager server. Click Brwse t find the specified.cnfig file and click Open t uplad it. Yu are able t uplad multiple cnfiguratin files. Nte that the name f the cnfiguratin file yu uplad must have the same name as the existing ne, and then yu are able t apply the cnfiguratin file t destinatin. Destinatin Path Enter the place where yu want t uplad the cnfiguratin file. DcAve supprts cnfiguratin file change in Agent\Bin and Agent\data paths. Cnflict Reslutin Select a reslutin when tw cnfiguratin files have the same name. Merge The cntent f the newly upladed cnfiguratin file will be merged int the ld ne. Replace The newly upladed cnfiguratin file will replace the ld ne. Click OK t change the cnfiguratin files as yu have cnfigured r click Cancel t exit the interface withut saving the cnfiguratin. If yu click OK, yu will be asked t restart the Agent service. Click Aut t autmatically restart the agent service immediately r click Manual t manually restart the agent service later. View Details Click View Details n the ribbn t bring up the View Details page with infrmatin abut the selected DcAve Agent. Click the Summary tab t view the Agent infrmatin. Click the Agent Types tab t view all the agent types f this selected DcAve Agent. Ntificatin Selectin Click Ntificatin Selectin n the ribbn t cnfigure e-mail ntificatin settings. The specified recipients in the selected ntificatin prfile will be sent an e-mail when the Agent service is inactive. In the Ntificatin Selectin page, select a previusly cnfigured ntificatin prfile frm the drp-dwn menu r select New Ntificatin Prfile t set up a new e-mail ntificatin prfile. Fr mre infrmatin abut hw t cnfigure ntificatin, refer t the User Ntificatin Settings sectin in this user guide. Restart Click Restart n the ribbn t restart the selected DcAve agent. This is useful in situatins where the agent is sluggish, r if a jb it is running hangs. Yu can restart the agent and try again. *Nte: Any jbs that are running when yu restart the agent will fail. Remve Click Remve n the ribbn t remve the selected DcAve agent frm the Agent Mnitr. The remved agent will n lnger be used by the cntrl service. Yu can nly remve agents that have a dwn arrw ( ) in the Status clumn. Nte that this des nt uninstall the agent. *Nte: If the Agent is currently used by ne r mre plans, the Agent cannt be remved. Deactivate Click Deactivate n the ribbn t deactivate the selected DcAve agent. Once the agent is deactivated, it is marked as Inactive, and will nt be used by the current cntrl service. Hwever, the deactivated service will still run nrmally. This is useful when yu want t perfrm maintenance n a specified DcAve agent. *Nte: Any jbs that are running when yu deactivate the agent will fail. Activate Click Activate n the ribbn t activate the selected DcAve agent. Once the agent is activated, it is marked as Active, and will be used by the current cntrl service. When yu are finished viewing and managing yur DcAve agents, click Clse n the ribbn t clse the Agent Mnitr tab and return t the Cntrl Panel main page. System Optins System Optins allw yu t custmize DcAve General Settings and Security Settings: General Settings These settings affect DcAve s interface, which includes settings fr Appearance and SharePint Farm Settings. This way, yu can have DcAve be displayed in the language f yur preference, use date and time frmat that yu are cmfrtable with, insert a custm lg fr yur reprts and e-mail templates, and rename yur SharePint farms s that it is easier fr yu t recgnize them. Security Settings These settings affect access t DcAve, which includes settings fr System Security Plicy and System Passwrd Plicy. This way, yu have cntrl ver the users that are able t access DcAve. Cnfiguring General Settings T access General Settings fr DcAve, in the Cntrl Panel interface, click General Settings under the System Optins heading. The fllwing settings can be cnfigured in this page: Language Preference Specify a language fr DcAve t be displayed in, r allw users t utilize a translatin engine t have DcAve displayed in the language f the user s brwser. Display fr all users Select this ptin t have DcAve be displayed in the language specified here. T change the display language, click n the drp-dwn menu, and select yur desired language. Change t the end user brwser used language Select this ptin t allw DcAve t be displayed in the language used by the user s brwser. Then select a language fr DcAve t default t in the If the language des nt change successfully, please select t use a default language drp-dwn menu. Date and Time Frmat Set the system lcatin by selecting a lcatin frm the Lcale(Lcatin) drp-dwn menu. Set the frmat fr all date and time displayed in DcAve by selecting a date frmat frm the Date frmat drp-dwn menu, and selecting a time frmat frm the Time frmat drp-dwn menu. Custmize Lg Custmize the lg fr DcAve system reprts and e-mail templates. Click Brwse t find the desired lg file in the pp-up, then select the lg, and click Open t pen it. Click Shw Preview t view the lg in the Shw Preview area. T hide the Shw Preview area, click Hide Preview. Click and drag the lg in the display field t change its placement. Click t zm in, t zm ut, r t reset the settings f the new lg. Click Restre t Default buttn t rll back t the default lg. Farm Name Mapping Custmize the display names fr yur farms in DcAve. T find a specific farm, enter the farm name in the search text bx, and click the magnifying glass ( ) t search. *Nte: The search functin is nt case sensitive. Fr each farm, enter the desired display name in the crrespnding Display Name text field. When yu are finished cnfiguring DcAve General Settings, click Save t save all changes, then Clse t clse the System Optins interface. Cnfiguring Security Settings T access Security Settings fr DcAve, in the Cntrl Panel interface, click Security Settings under the System Optins heading. System Security Plicy In the System Security Plicy tab, the fllwing ptins can be cnfigured: Maximum User Sessin Cnfigure the number f simultaneus lgns allwed fr DcAve. Fr any new sessins that surpass the designated number, the earliest sessin will be terminated. Sessin Timeut Cnfigure hw lng a user can be inactive befre being autmatically lgged ff. Failed Lgn Limitatin Specify the maximum number f failed lgn attempts allwed in ne day. If a specific accunt fails t prvide the crrect lgin infrmatin in a single day, it will be lcked. System Passwrd Plicy In the System Passwrd Plicy tab, the fllwing ptins can be cnfigured: Default Passwrd Settings Specify the rules t be applied n the passwrd after it has been saved. Select Accunt is inactive if yu wuld like t manually activate the accunt befre it can be used. If n ptin is selected in this field, the passwrd des nt need t be mdified at first lgin and it will never expire. Maximum and Minimum Passwrd Length Enter an integer fr the maximum and minimum number f characters allwed in a passwrd. Passwrd Rule Cnfigure requirements fr passwrd. Minimum number f alpha Enter a psitive integer, there must be at least the specified number f letters in the passwrd. Minimum number f numeric Enter a psitive integer, there must be at least the specified number f numbers in the passwrd. Minimum number f special characters Enter a psitive integer, there must be at least the specified number f special characters in the passwrd. The special characters include!, @, #, $, %, ^, & and *. Authenticatin and Accunt Manager Authenticatin Manager and Accunt Manager allw yu t custmize which users and user grups have access t DcAve. Yu can set up DcAve t utilize existing methds fr authenticatin such as Windws Authenticatin, Active Directry integratin (AD) and Active Directry Federatin Services (ADFS) Integratin, r manually add specific users and set permissin levels. *Nte: In rder t add specific users in Accunt Manager that authenticates using Windws Authenticatin, AD authenticatin r ADFS authenticatin, yu must first set up the authenticatin integratin in Authenticatin Manager. Authenticatin Manager Authenticatin Manager allws yu t view and manage integrated authenticatin methds usable by DcAve. This means that DcAve can leverage yur pre-existing authenticatin methds, and custmize it fr access t DcAve. These authenticatin methds include: Windws Authenticatin Allws the users t lg nt DcAve using their Windws Authenticatin credentials. AD Integratin Allws the users t lg nt DcAve using their Active Directry authenticatin credentials. ADFS Integratin Allws the users t access DcAve as lng as they have lgged int the lcal machine using their ADFS credentials. T access Authenticatin Manager fr DcAve, in the Cntrl Panel interface, click Authenticatin Manager under the Authenticatin Manager heading. Click Clse n the ribbn t clse the Authenticatin Manager interface. On the Authenticatin Manager interface, yu can select ne authenticatin methd, and click Set as default in the Set as default clumn t set the specified authenticatin methd as the default authenticatin methd. After setting the authenticatin methd, yu can g t Accunt Manager t add users. Cnfiguring Windws Authenticatin T leverage Windws Authenticatin credentials t access DcAve, cmplete the fllwing steps: 1. In the Authenticatin Manager interface, click Windws Authenticatin n the ribbn. 2. Select the Authenticatin Type frm the drp-dwn menu: a. NTLM b. Negtiate (Kerbers) *Nte: Kerbers authenticatin methd must be previusly cnfigured in the perating system befre yu select the Negtiate (Kerbers) ptin when enabling the integratin with Windws Authenticatin. In the AD Integratin cnfiguratin interface, yu will see a list f previusly cnfigured Active Directries. Yu can custmize hw these Active Directries are displayed in the fllwing ways: Search Filters the Active Directries displayed by the keywrd yu designate; the keywrd must be cntained in a clumn value. At the tp f the viewing pane, enter the keywrd fr the Active Directry yu want t display. Yu can select t Search all pages r Search current page. Manage clumns ( ) Manages which clumns are displayed in the list s that nly the infrmatin yu want t see is displayed. Click the manage clumns buttn ( ), then select the checkbx next t the clumn name t have that clumn shwn in the list. Hide the clumn ( ) Hver ver the clumn name yu want t hide, and then click the hide the clumn buttn ( ). Filter the clumn ( ) Filters which item in the list is displayed. Unlike Search, yu can filter whichever item yu want, rather than search based n a keywrd. Hver ver the clumn name yu want t filter, then click the filter the clumn buttn ( ), and then select the checkbx next t the item name t have that item shwn in the list. T remve all f the filters, click Clear Filter. T manage yur integrated Active Directries, yu can perfrm the fllwing actins: Add - T add a new Active Directry, click Add n the ribbn, then enter the Dmain, Username and Passwrd in the crrespnding text bx. Click Validatin Test t see if the values yu entered are valid, then click OK t save the cnfiguratins fr the new Active Directry and return t the AD Integratin interface, r click Back t return t the AD Integratin interface withut saving the cnfiguratins. Edit T make changes t a previusly cnfigured integrated Active Directry, select the Active Directry by selecting the crrespnding checkbx, then click Edit n the ribbn. Make the necessary changes, then click OK t save the changes and return t the AD Integratin interface, r click Back t return t the AD Integratin interface withut saving any changes. Delete T delete a previusly cnfigured Active Directry, select the Active Directry by selecting the crrespnding checkbx, then click Delete n the ribbn. Yu will be presented with a ppup windw ntifying yu that The user(s) assciated with the selected dmain(s) will be disabled. The user(s) can be enabled nly by adding the selected dmain(s) again. Disable Click Disable t nt allw the use f credentials frm the crrespnding Active Directry t access DcAve. This ptin is useful during the maintenance f the Dmain Cntrller machine. Yu can disable the integratin with the dmain t be maintained and enable the integratin again after the maintenance. After ne Active Directry has been integrated with DcAve, it will be shwn in the Dmain text bx after yu select AD Integratin in the Lg n t drp-dwn list f the DcAve lgin page. If a dmain has father dmain, sub dmain r trust dmain, when a user frm these dmains has been added t DcAve, the crrespnding dmain will als be added int DcAve and yu will be able t view this dmain in DcAve lgin page. Cnfigure ADFS Integratin T leverage Active Directry Federatin Services (ADFS) authenticatin credentials t access DcAve, cnfigure yur ADFS integratin in the ADFS Integratin interface. T access yur ADFS integratin cnfiguratins, in the Authenticatin Manager interface, click ADFS Integratin n the ribbn, then select ADFS Integratin in the drp-dwn menu. Yu will be brught t the ADFS Integratin Wizard. Fllw the steps laid ut by the wizard t set up ADFS integratin: 1. ADFS Infrmatin Specify the fllwing general infrmatin f the ADFS yu wish t integrate: a. ADFS Integratin Methd Select Manually t cnfigure the settings yurself, r select Autmatically t get the required infrmatin by using a federatin metadata trust XML file. Relying Party Identifier Enter DcAve s Relying Party Identifier, which must first be cnfigured in ADFS in the Relying Party Identifier text bx. Tken-signing Click Select. A new Select Certificate ppup windw will appear fr yu t specify a tken-signing certificate t cmmunicate with ADFS. Select a Find in: parameter frm the drp-dwn menu, enter the keywrds in the Cntains: text bx, select a Lk in field: parameter frm the drp-dwn menu, then click Find Nw t start the search. Click Stp t stp the search. Once yu have selected yur desired certificate, click OK t save and exit the Select Certificate interface, r click Back t exit the Select Certificate interface withut saving specifying a certificate. When yu are finished cnfiguring the Security Tken Settings, click Next t cnfigure the Claim Cnfiguratin. 3. Claim Cnfiguratin Cnfigure the mappings between the Claim Name displayed in DcAve and the Claim Type displayed in ADFS. Yu can perfrm the fllwing actins t yur claims: a. Yu can change the rder f the claims in the Order clumn f the table. If a user can be identified using several claims, DcAve will use the Claim Name f the first claim listed here as the display name fr each respective user. b. Click t delete the selected claim. c. Click Autmatically t have the claim type be specified autmatically after yu select the claim name frm the Claim Name drp-dwn menu. Click Manu t add the claims manually. Click Aut t switch back t the default ptin. 4. Overview Review the settings yu have cnfigured in the previus steps. T make changes, click Edit in the crrespnding sectin, and yu will be brught back t that step s yu can make changes. 5. Finish Prvides yu with three ptins t imprt the relying party data fr DcAve in ADFS (using the Add Relying Party Trust Wizard). a. In this step, yu can als chse t exprt the current ADFS cnfiguratin infrmatin t a specified lcatin by clicking Exprt n the ribbn, then explre t the lcatin yu wish t save the XML file t. Click Finish t save yur cnfiguratins, and return t the Authenticatin Manager interface, r click Cancel t return t the Authenticatin Manager interface withut saving any f the cnfiguratins made. Once yu have cnfigured an ADFS integratin fr DcAve, the Add Federatin Trust ptin will becme available. Add Federatin Trust allws yu t integrate anther trusted ADFS with the ADFS yu have already cnfigured fr DcAve. T add integratin with anther trusted ADFS, in the Authenticatin Manager interface, click ADFS Integratin n the ribbn, then select Add Federatin Trust frm the drp-dwn menu. In the Add Federatin Trust interface, enter the fllwing infrmatin: Name The name entered here will be displayed in the Server drp-dwn menu n the lgin page. Yu can select the crrespnding name t lg n DcAve using the trusted ADFS. URL The identifier f the trusted ADFS. Click Add t add the new recrd r click t delete a selected ADFS trust. Accunt Manager Accunt Manager allws yu t view and manage users fr DcAve, as well as cnfigure user grups with custm permissin levels. This allws yu t give specific peple, r grups f peple yur desired level f access t DcAve. In Accunt Manager yu can security trim DcAve users t limit which DcAve mdule a user is able t access and which farm(s) and remte site cllectin(s) specific DcAve users can access. Each user can nly be added t either a System Grup r a Tenant Grup. A user in a system grup can belng t multiple system grups; hwever, a user in a tenant grup can nly belng t ne tenant grup. The same user cannt be added t bth a System Grup and a Tenant Grup. In rder t add a user in a system grup t a tenant grup, yu must remve this user frm the system grup, and add this user t a tenant grup as a new user. Administratrs Grup Administratrs grup is the built-in grup which cannt be deleted. Users in this grup can manage bth system grups and tenant grups, but they cannt see the bjects created by the users in the tenant grups. Users in the Administratrs grup manage tenant bjects by creating anther user in the tenant grups t the tenant grup. System Grup System Grup is the user-defined grup. Users in this grup can view and mdify DcAve bjects created by any users in the system grups. Due t different specified permissin levels, users in this grup can view and mdify the SharePint bjects f the specified mdules in the specified farm. 26 DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel

Tenant Grup Tenant grup includes Web applicatin tenant grup and site cllectin tenant grup. There are pwer users and standard users in the tenant grup. A pwer user must be added when creating the tenant grup. Refer t Security Trimming Users sectin f this guide fr mre detailed infrmatin. *Nte: If yu wuld like t leverage authenticatin credentials frm Windws Authenticatin, AD r ADFS, yu must first cnfigure the relevant integratin settings in Authenticatin Manager. T access Accunt Manager fr DcAve, in the Cntrl Panel interface, click Accunt Manager under the Accunt Manager heading. Click Clse n the ribbn t clse the Accunt Manager interface. Security Trimming Users If yu are using DcAve Gvernance Autmatin alngside DcAve 6, it is recmmended that yu d nt have users in the tenant grups and nly use the default System Grup. Fr users f Tenant Grup: The users in a Tenant Grup include pwer users and standard users. Pwer User The pwer users can create and delete any standard users and ther pwer users. The pwer users can manage all the bjects in their wn grup. The pwer users can share the site cllectins and the plans that are belnged t a standard user t the ther standard users. *Nte: The related bjects f the deleted standard users r pwer users will nt be deleted. The last pwer user in the tenant grup cannt be deleted. DcAve 6: Cntrl Panel Standard User The standard user can nly have permissin t the site cllectin when the pwer user shares the site cllectin t him. *Nte: When the pwer user shares the specified site cllectins t the standard user, the standard user can nly view and use the specified site cllectins in the tree, but cannt edit r delete the cntent f these site cllectins. *Nte: When lgging in t DcAve using a standard user in the tenant grup, the standard user cannt perfrm the Object-based Restre jbs in the Granular Backup & Restre mdule. The users in the Tenant Grup cannt view bjects created by the users in System Grup. When a user in the Tenant Grup is remved frm the grup, the DcAve plans, prfiles r jbs it creates will nt be deleted. 27

If there are n plans r data, nly users and prfiles in the tenant grup yu are abut t delete, this kind f tenant grup can be deleted. If there are plans and data in the tenant grup yu are abut t delete, a pp-up windw appears t infrm yu that cannt delete this tenant grup. In this pp-up windw, DcAve als prvides tw wrkarunds fr the security reasn: ne is t manually delete all f the bjects in this grup, then delete this grup; the ther is t remve r disable all f the users in this tenant grup t make sure there are n users can access this tenant grup. The users in the tenant grup can be granted the permissin t the fllwing mdules: Granular Backup & Restre, Administratr, Cntent Manager, and Replicatr. The users in the tenant grup can be granted the permissin t the fllwing functins in Cntrl Panel: User Ntificatin Settings, Security Prfile, Strage Cnfiguratin, Mapping Manager, and Filter Plicy. Fr Web applicatin tenant grup, pwer users have permissin t Accunt Manager by default while standard users d nt. Fr site cllectin tenant grup, pwer users have permissin t Accunt Manager and SharePint Sites by default while standard users d nt. Fr users f System Grup: The users in the System Grup can view and mdify DcAve plans, prfiles, r jbs created by ther users in the same grup r in the different system grups. Users in the System Grup can share data and infrmatin. Users in the System Grup cannt view any plan, prfile r jb created by a user in the Tenant Grup. Users in a System Grup can nly see plans, prfiles, r jbs f mdules they have permissin fr. Users in a System Grup can be granted the permissin t all f the DcAve mdules. Users in a System Grup can be granted the permissin t the fllwing functins in Cntrl Panel: User Ntificatin Settings, Security Prfile, SharePint Sites, Strage Cnfiguratin, Exprt Lcatin, Data Manager, Index Manager, Mapping Manager, and Filter Plicy. Managing Permissin Levels Use Permissin Levels t create pre-cnfigured permissins that can be applied t user grups. This way yu can quickly and easily apply the same permissin cnfiguratin fr multiple users. T cnfigure permissin levels fr DcAve, in the Accunt Manager interface, click Permissin Level n the ribbn. Yu can custmize hw these permissin levels are displayed in the fllwing ways: Search Filters the permissin levels displayed by the keywrd yu designate; the keywrd must be cntained in a clumn value. At the tp f the viewing pane, enter the keywrd fr the permissin level yu want t display. Yu can select t Search all pages r Search current page. Manage clumns ( ) Manages which clumns are displayed in the list s that nly the infrmatin yu want t see is displayed. Click the manage clumns buttn ( ), then select the checkbx next t the clumn name t have that clumn shwn in the list. Hide the clumn ( ) Hver ver the clumn name yu want t hide, and then click the hide the clumn buttn ( ). Filter the clumn ( ) Filters which item in the list is displayed. Unlike Search, yu can filter whichever item yu want, rather than search based n a keywrd. Hver ver the clumn name yu want t filter, then click the filter the clumn buttn ( ), and then select the checkbx next t the item name t have that item shwn in the list. T remve all f the filters, click Clear Filter. T manage yur permissin levels, yu can perfrm the fllwing actins: Add T create a new permissin level, click Add n the ribbn, and select Add System Permissin r Add Tenant Permissin. After selecting t add the crrespnding permissin level, yu will be redirected t the cnfiguratin page accrdingly, and then yu can perfrm the fllwing actins. Add System Permissin Creates system permissins fr system grups and users. Name and Descriptin Enter a name fr the new system permissin level and an ptinal Descriptin fr future references. Mdule Select the mdules yu want t grant permissin t fr all grups and users using this permissin level. Fr the mdules, such as Granular Backup & Restre, Platfrm Backup & Restre, SQL Server Data Manager, Reprt Center, and Administratr, select the crrespnding checkbx t grant the permissin t each functin in the crrespnding mdule fr all f the grups and users. Add Tenant Permissin Tenant permissin levels are permissin settings that can be applied t tenant grups and users. Name and Descriptin Enter a name fr the new tenant permissin level and an ptinal Descriptin fr future references.
