2012-12-12 University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Qixiang Ye received B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical & electronic engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 1999 and 2001 respectively, and a Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, he was an assistant professor and since 2009, he has been an associate professor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. He has published more than 40 papers in international conferences and journals. His research interests include image processing, image based object detection and machine learning. Dr. Ye won the Sony Outstanding Paper Award in 2005. He has been a visiting assistant professor of University of Maryland Institute of Advanced Computer Studies of (UMIACS) since Dec. 2012.
