Chapter 1 : Cordless Phones - Uniden Support With the phone in standby, press and hold # on any handset. The phone prompts you to select the number of hours (1-9 or Always On) that you want it to stay in silent mode. To confirm press # or wait 5 seconds. Each handset will display silent mode. The phone will exit silent mode after the set. The handset sounds a dial FlasH You can order a wall-mount bracket tone, and the display shows Talk. Follow the instructions that come with the bracket. Pick up the handset from the cradle. Dial the number you want to call, then press on the handset. You may not cell hear a dial tone or ringing, but the handset display says Talk.
