Preparing your Network Environment for Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams Topics: Network Environment Requirements Ensuring Endpoints Reach the Internet Verify Your Polycom RealPresence DMA System Configuration Verifying your Cisco Configuration The Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams service allows customers with Microsoft Teams to take advantage of Polycom's RealConnect service to enable H.323 and SIP room systems (VTCs) to connect to scheduled meetings. Network Environment Requirements Before deploying Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams, ensure you meet the network requirements which include required Microsoft components and well as firewall configuration. Environment Requirements for Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams Before preparing your environment or enrolling in the RealConnect for Microsoft Teamsservice, ensure your environment includes the following components: Microsoft Teams Online Microsoft Exchange Online A global administrator account for Office 365 to use to grant consent to the RealConnect for Microsoft Teams application A Skype for Business Online administrator account to manage the video interoperability service policy creation and assignment Required Outbound Ports for Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams Existing video endpoints deployed within your organization must be able to make business calls via the internet. When using RealConnect for Microsoft Teams, video endpoints are making external calls outside of the enterprise and into the hosted Polycom service. You need to configure your outbound firewall settings to match the settings listed here. Polycom, Inc. 2

Ensuring Endpoints Reach the Internet Before you enroll and add users to the Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams service, you should verify that the endpoints in your environment can make calls to the Internet. Test Your Network Calling Capability for Supported Endpoints You need to ensure your network environment allows generic B2B video calls over the internet. You will need to test your supported endpoints within your network to verify that they can reach the Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams. 1. Make a call from the endpoint to the following dial string: 7357@test.plcm.vc If your test call fails, please review the preparation topics to verify that you have opened the correct firewall ports and that you have completed any call configuration on internal call servers (Polycom RealPresence DMA or Cisco Unified Call Manager). Verify Your Polycom RealPresence DMA System Configuration If you are using a RealPresence DMA system within your video conference environment, you need to ensure that it is configured to allow calls to Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams. Preparing your Network Environment for Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams Note: For detailed information about how to use the RealPresence DMA system, see the Polycom RealPresence DMA System Operations Guide. Ensure that you have specified a list of local SIP domains. If no SIP domains are configured as local only, the RealPresence DMA system considers all SIP domains to be local and calls to the RealConnect for Microsoft Teams will fail. Ensure the following dial rules are enabled: Dial External networks by H.323 URL, Email address or SIP URL and Dial Endpoints by IP Address. Review your site topology and verify that the site associated with the RealPresence Access Director system has both the H.323 Routing and SIP Routing signaling addresses pointing to the internal IP Address of the Polycom RealPresence Access Director system. Within your site topology, verify that you have configured a site-link from the RealPresence Access Director system to the Internet/VPN. Verifying your Cisco Configuration If your test call fails and you are usually able to establish a B2B internet-based call, you need to verify your configuration settings on your Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS). For more detailed information about configuring the Cisco TelePresence Video Communications Server, please see the Cisco support site: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/unified-communications/ telepresence-video-communication-server-vcs/products-installation-and-configuration-guides-list.html. Verify your DNS Zone Within your Cisco VCS, you should verify that your DNS zone is active and that both SIP and H.323 have an On status. 1. Within your Cisco VCS, navigate to Configuration > Zones > Zones. 2. Verify that the H.323 and SIP statuses are both On. 3. Click the DNS Zone and verify that its state is Active. Polycom, Inc. 4

Within your Cisco VCS, navigate to System > DNS. 2. Verify that there is a DNS server that resolves the DNS record for plcm.vc. Polycom, Inc. 5
Preparing your Network Environment for Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams Verify Your Traversal Zone Within your Cisco VCS, verify that H.323 and SIP signalling are on. 1. Navigate to Configuration > Zone > Zones. 2. Verify that the H.323 and SIP statuses are both On. 3. Click the Traversal Zone and verify that its state is Active. Polycom, Inc. 6
Enrolling in Polycom RealConnect for Microsoft Teams Topics: Enroll in RealConnect for Microsoft Teams This section describes how to enroll in the RealConnect for Microsoft Teams application, allow therealconnect for Microsoft Teams the specific permissions that authorize it to operate as your video interoperability policy, and activate your license. Enroll in RealConnect for Microsoft Teams To enroll in the RealConnect for Microsoft Teams application and activate your licenses, perform the following procedure. To perform this procedure, you must log in as an online user with global administrator rights. This allows Polycom the required permissions to: Access the directory. Polycom reads your basic profile information, as the logged in user, to determine the country and domain of the organization. Read and write to the directory database. Polycom writes a single schema extension attribute (the RealConnect for Microsoft Teams dial-in URI to the tenant directory. 1. Go to https://webapp.plcm.vc and follow the instructions on how to add the app to your Office 365 environment. 2. Click Log In to Microsoft Office 365 and authorize this app. 3. Enter your username and password and click Accept.to grant Polycom RealConnect permission to access your Office 365 environment. The required permissions are granted only for the duration of the web session. 4. Confirm you acceptance. 5. Click Activate New License. 6. Enter your License Activation Key and your account details. Your license activation key was e- mailed to you by Polycom. 7. Mark the check box to accept the terms of service and click Submit. 8. Choose the Consent to RealConnect for Teams link, as you need to allow the RealConnect for Microsoft Teamsapplication specific permissions that authorize it to operate as your video interoperability policy. 9. Connect to Office 365 PowerShell and enter the unique PowerShell Commands for your activation which are available through the Teams Configuration link. The license is acquired and the Welcome page now shows the number of licenses available. Polycom, Inc. 7
