Known Issues and Limitations for SAP BusinessObjects XI3.1 Service Pack 6 FixPack 1 SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform ADAPT01669224 Title: Reports from OpenDoc applications may not open in FireFox Release Note: In FireFox, OpenDoc applications cannot process unicode characters as parameter values, and therefore reports with parameters fail to open. The workaround is to open the web application server file Server.xml (in Tomcat it is in the "conf" folder), and add the following attribute to the Connector tag: URIEncoding="UTF-8". SAP BusinessObjects Life Cycle Management ADAPT01673395 Title: Cannot traverse to the tree list for selecting objects using Internet Explorer 10. Release Note: Using the Internet Explorer version 10, users cannot traverse to the tree list in the "Object selection page" of the Lifecycle Manager application. To avoid this issue, users need to use Internet explorer version 9 or lower, or the Mozilla Firefox. SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius ADAPT01671067 Title: Release Note: Xcelsius 2008 does not support Microsoft Office 2013. 1/1
Fixed Issues for SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 and Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 6 FixPack 1 SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence mobile applications ADAPT01654195 Description: Reports that are designed and saved in the landscape mode in Web Intelligence do not display the expected report formatting when viewed in the mobi app on an ipad device. The issue is now fixed. ADAPT01671054 Description: If the "auto-connect" setting is enabled in the SAP BusinessObjects Mobile app, when users login to the app after launching it, they see the message "Logging in to BusinessObjects Mobile" for an indefinitely long duration. This issue is now resolved. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform ADAPT01590467 Description: In LifeCycle Manager, when the "Promote Overrides" tool is used to override BusinessWarehouse MDX database connections, the override fails to be applied. ADAPT01609753 Description: Attempts to schedule a Web Intelligence document with Japanese in the instance title to a comma-separated values (CSV) file to a Linux file system fails. ADAPT01616514 Description: Members of the Administrators group are unable to view source document instances for publications on the scheduling History page. The Administrators group can view and open source document instances and Inbox content for standard users in the Central Management Console (CMC). ADAPT01621203 Description: After the "Deliver Document As Attachment" check box is cleared for a publication, and the document subsequently saved, when the document is re-opened the "Deliver Document As Attachment" check box is selected. ADAPT01629458 Description: When settings are changed on the Preferences page in.net InfoView (BI launch pad), those settings fail to be applied on the InfoView (BI launch pad) page. ADAPT01630912 Description: When you send a Web Intelligence document to a user via the Business Objects inbox, if the document is marked as read, the sent document is also marked as read in the receiver's inbox mail. 1/11
ADAPT01639396 Description: When adding a new SAP user account to an existing role that is mapped in the Central Management Console (CMC), the SAP alias for the account fails to be automatically created in the CMC. This problem remains even though the new SAP user account can be used to successfully log in to InfoView (BI launch pad). ADAPT01644392 Description: When modifying custom access levels in the Central Management Console (CMS) for a user account, the CMS terminates unexpectedly. This problem may happen in a clustered environment, where two CMSs are used. ADAPT01644880 Description: When an MDX report is refreshed, and it contains a variable that uses multiple variables, an exception record occurs (a "shortdump") in Transaction Code ST22. ADAPT01646955 Description: In.NET InfoView (BI launch pad), folders that contain a hundred or more reports may cause the system to slow down considerably. ADAPT01650993 Description: When a large number of events are assigned to the Event Server, the server may take a long time to pick up all of the monitored files after it is restarted. The way that the Event Server handles the I/O requests is now optimized. ADAPT01651909 Description: Server session tokens and server failover tokens are being reused after the Central Management System deletes these tokens. ADAPT01653186 Description: Multiple logins to Active Directory (AD) may take longer to be authenticated. ADAPT01654869 Description: When a publication for a Crystal report is created and run, a core dump occurs, which may cause the publication to freeze. The core dump is generated by the Crystal Reports job server. ADAPT01655642 Description: In a clustered CMS environment, Web Intelligence documents that are event dependent may fail to schedule. ADAPT01656078 Description: When you schedule a Web Intelligence report based on an event, the report may not run successfully. ADAPT01662510 Description: When you try to schedule reports, the Central Management System fails to communicate with the job server. 2/11
ADAPT01665571 Description: Refreshing an individual query of Web Intelligence document may fail in.net InfoView if the Web Intelligence document is based on multiple data providers: one from a universe and one from an Excel document. ADAPT01668674 Description: Cross-site scripting vulnerabilities have been discovered in two URLs. ADAPT01669336 Description: SAP Roles are deleted from the Enterprise server and the administrator has to add the roles again. ADAPT01670282 Description: While editing user rights to create custom access levels or rights to objects, if the Central Management Console (CMC) is left to idle for more than 20 minutes, before the rights editing work is completed, the following error message appears: "HTTP Status 500 - The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request." ADAPT01673880 Description: Web configuration files in InfoView (BI launch pad) can be exposed through a Direct Object Reference vulnerability. ADAPT01673882 Description: A potential cross-site scripting vulnerability has been discovered when adding a URL in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. ADAPT01674699 Description: When viewing a Crystal report historical instance through an F5 load balancer, the instance automatically refreshes, causing a slight delay before it appears. ADAPT01678808 Description: In InfoView, the color of text changes from one language locale setting to another. When the language locale is set to English, text is displayed in black. When the locale is set to Japanese, text is blue. ADAPT01681145 Description: In the Central Management Console (CMC), when copying an object title that contains multiple byte characters or special characters, an error message appears. This problem happens when Sybase SQL Anywhere is used as the Central Management Server (CMS) database. 3/11
SAP BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence ADAPT01583292 Description: The MHTML file content is corrupted if it is scheduled from a publication based on a Desktop Intelligence document that contains multiple reports. ADAPT01660057 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, the Change Password dialog box does not close when you click the Cancel button. ADAPT01668133 Description: The Desktop Intelligence Job Server ignores the SMTP port given in the SMTP server details. ADAPT01670815 Description: When you use a VBA macro to open a Desktop Intelligence report, the report does not open correctly. ADAPT01672607 Description: Attempts to publish to HTML format a Desktop Intelligence document that is scheduled and saved to an unmanaged disk with a Specific Name for the file name fails. ADAPT01672883 Description: When a Desktop Intelligence document is scheduled to HTML format and the destination is set as File system, a clean up error appears. ADAPT01677137 Description: When you refresh a Desktop Intelligence report imported from BOE XI R2, the lastrefresh time is incorrect. ADAPT01677535 Description: An MHTML file is not generated correctly when you schedule a publication to the file source and choose a Desktop Intelligence report as the source document. ADAPT01683485 Description: The "MingLiu" font does not displayed properly when you reopen Desktop Intelligence on the English version of Windows 7 with Chinese (Simplified, PRC)" as Language for non- Unicode programs. ADAPT01683637 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, very small numeric values are not rounded to zero. The problem is resolved. 4/11
SAP BusinessObjects Life Cycle Management ADAPT01630120 Description: Having logged into the Lifecycle Manager, while creating a new job or while editing an existing job, when users try to add only the LOVs, they are not able to select the specific LOVs that need to be added to the job. Limitations: This issue is now resolved. There are no known limitations. ADAPT01638172 Description: Lifecycle Management: The lifecycle management tool throws an error while promoting a job that contains a universe with 1000 lists of values. SAP BusinessObjects Live Office ADAPT01579699 Description: When Live Office for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl 3.1 is used in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Release 4, Web Intelligence documents and Excel files cannot be imported into Live Office. SAP BusinessObjects Migration tools ADAPT01147512 Description: Using the Import Wizard, when the "BusinessObjects 6.5 User Personal" document is imported in Japanese language, the document name is found to be corrupted. This issue is now resolved. SAP BusinessObjects Performance Management Component ADAPT01571691 Description: In Dashboard Builder, the checkbox options for the "Yes" and "No" conditions on the Set Analysis page fail to respond when selected. SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence ADAPT01522670 Description: When viewing a recurring instance of a document that uses events in Java InfoView, an error message appears: "An error has occurred: java.util.nosuchelementexception". This problem happens to users who have been granted full rights on the report object but are denied view rights to events. This problem does not happen in.net InfoView. ADAPT01539630 Description: In a Web Intelligence document, in a block containing filters and with the report filter activated on an object in the block, smart measures in a table are replaced by an #UNAVAILABLE error. ADAPT01596622 Description: When you migrate a Web Intelligence document from BOE XI R2 to XI 3.1 and open it in Web Intelligence in Design mode, some cell lines in tables are invisible. 5/11
ADAPT01622364 Description: In Web Intelligence opened via the.net InfoView, if you click the Cancel button while refreshing a document, the refresh action continues until the refreshed data appears. Limitations: The report refresh action can be canceled if the Cancel button is hit at the initial stage. The report refresh cannot be cancelled after the initial processing is over. ADAPT01625300 Description: In the Japanese version of the Web Intelligence Web interface, the "Show rows with empty measures" option is incorrectly translated. ADAPT01634503 Description: In Web Intelligence documents with query prompts and the query stripping enabled the following error message appears: A database error occurred. The database error text is: The supplied XML is not valid. GROUPINGSET. (WIS 10901). ADAPT01635129 Description: In the Rich Internet Application, when you click the close (X) icon when the application session has timed out, a "Server Error in '/InfoViewApp' application" error page appears. The problem is resolved. A proper error message appears that says the session expired. ADAPT01638157 Description: In a Web Intelligence document open in the Web Intelligence Web interface, where the Preferred Viewing Locale is set to German, when you click the "add simple report filter" icon in the Filter Bar toolbar, the classes shown appear in English, instead of German. ADAPT01648337 Description: Adding quick filters to a Web Intelligence report via.net deployment does not work when report variables are added to the report. ADAPT01655518 Description: The results from a refreshed LOV do not always respect the Web Intelligence Processing Server "Maximum List Of Values Size" setting. ADAPT01658819 Description: A RunningSum formula defined with a WHERE clause on a block of objects does not show correct value when an object is removed from the block. ADAPT01660075 Description: In a Web Intelligence report, in a crosstab table row, the ForceMerge() function multiplies values by the number of values associated to the object that is used in the function. ADAPT01661039 Description: A Web Intelligence document published to several hundred users takes several hours. ADAPT01667536 Description: After you upgrade from XI 3.1 SP3 to XI 3.1 SP5, a Web Intelligence report using the 'Extend Merged Dimension values' option shows incorrect values. ADAPT01667785 Description: A truncated message is displayed in the Portuguese version of the Query as a Web Service main screen. 6/11
ADAPT01669433 Description: An Excel file based on an exported Web Intelligence document containing multiple embedded sections shows object names instead of values. ADAPT01669639 Description: After you upgrade from XI 3.1 SP 2.5 to SP 5.2, a Web Intelligence report may not open in InfoView (BI launch pad), and an Error:INF message appears instead. ADAPT01669737 Description: In XI 3.1 SP5 and subsequent fixpacks, cells that appeared as null in a Web Intelligence report now show the value of the row above. ADAPT01670112 Description: In AIX, when you try to open a Web Intelligence document in an Fixpack 5.3 environment, InfoView (BI launch pad) hangs and the document does not open. The Web Intelligence Processing Server appears to go into a state where it takes up all available CPU and never stops. This requires a restart of the service. In Windows, when you try to open the same document in a Fixpack 5.3 environment: In the Web Intelligence Web interface, the following error message appears: This document does not contain any reports. (Error: INF) In the Rich Internet Application, if you trying to edit the same document, the report opens to a blank page. If you switch to "View Structure", the following error message appears: Unable to get the first page of the current report - Web Intelligence will switch to structure view (WIJ 20003) ADAPT01672043 Description: When you upgrade a Web Intelligence document to XI 3.1 FixPack 4.2, data results in the reports can be incorrect. ADAPT01672527 Description: In the Interactive viewer in InfoView, when you try to view a Web Intelligence report in PDF format, the popup window disappears very quickly or does not appear, showing only a blank frame for a long time. ADAPT01673152 Description: A Computation Error in a Web Intelligence report occurs after an upgrade to FixPack 5.2. ADAPT01674029 Description: When you try to open a Web Intelligence report migrated from XI 3.1 SP5 to XI 3.1 SP5 FP 5.2 or FP 5.3, a #COMPUTATION error occurs. This problem is resolved ADAPT01674300 Description: In the Russian version of Query as a Web Service, the "Advanced Parameters" label is truncated. ADAPT01674743 Description: In a Web Intelligence document that has been migrated to FixPack 5.3, formulas in tables can display an #ERROR message. 7/11
ADAPT01675976 Description: A user can no longer modify a Web Intelligence query that is based on a Personal Data Provider (XLS file) when the XLS worksheet names (tabs) differ from the original worksheet. ADAPT01676808 Description: In Web Intelligence reports, the boolean number format doesn't work as expected in the Web (DHTML) interface, and always return "0" or "1" instead of "true" or "false". ADAPT01677156 Description: In an Excel document based on a Web Intelligence report, the format of a blank row or cell remains as text. ADAPT01681857 Description: When you launch the Rich Internet Application in Mac OSX using with Firefox or Safari and Java (JRE) 7, the Rich Internet Application does not work and a Java exception error appears. ADAPT01684923 Description: In the Rich Internet Application, the Cancel button of the Define Input Control wizard does not show the right English label. SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius ADAPT01662307 Description: If a dashboard refreshes BEx queries, an error message may appear in the Business Warehouse portal. ADAPT01673729 Description: When the language format is set to Arabic (Saudi Arabia), the thousands separator in numerical values will not appear. ADAPT01682072 Description: When exporting a dashboard as an Adobe AIR object, an error may appear indicating the certificate is expired. 8/11
SAP Crystal Reports 2008 ADAPT01643338 Description: When a Crystal report is scheduled to a user inbox, when the report is opened from the inbox a dialog box appears and requests database logon credentials. This problem happens with reports that are based on Oracle. ADAPT01644637 Description: Reports scheduled directly to the printer are corrupted regardless of which format they are in (PDF or RPT). ADAPT01666369 Description: When you set a DateTime parameter in the Central Management Console (CMC), the parameter fails to update. The following message appears: "The value is not valid". ADAPT01674510 Description: When a hyperlink is clicked in a Crystal report that is opened from the Central Management Console (CMC) and displayed in InfoView, the link is broken. This happens despite the "HTML Text" option being enabled. Limitations: - An HTTP link with no target value will not work in InfoView. - A target value equal to "_self", "_parent" will not work in InfoView. SAP Crystal Reports 2008 ADAPT01503419 Description: Reports that have linked subreports may run more slowly than usual. This problem happens when the report contains no data. Despite having no data, Crystal Reports attempts to run the subreport, and this extra processing reduces performance of the report. ADAPT01583905 Description: On AIX 6.1, Thai characters which are using font ARIALUNI.TTF are missing from PDFs that are exported from Crystal Reports. ADAPT01616752 Description: When viewing a Crystal Reports report in Infoview, expanding and collapsing the Parameter section causes that section to become disabled. ADAPT01648035 Description: ReportDocument cannot retrieve Stored Procedure parameter names from a report in the order that they appear. ADAPT01655769 Description: When user tries to view or schedule Crystal Reports with 40+ subreports on InfoView (BI launch pad) or CMC, an error occurs because the Crystal Reports code has run out of stack space. 9/11
ADAPT01656958 Description: After exporting a report to PDF from the web app, clicking "Dispose the ReportDocument object" causes the program to terminiate unexpectedly. ADAPT01656961 Description: The Dependency Checker is attempting to check formlas and fields that have been deleted or renamed. ADAPT01662762 Description: Cannot export Crystal Reports files to PDF using URL reporting in an ABAP function. ADAPT01663883 Description: Sort control will not work in dhtml viewer if the text object or field that has sort control added is rotated 90 degrees. ADAPT01666308 Description: When connecting to an Outlook 2010 data source through the Outlook/Exchange database driver in Crystal Reports designer and then attempting to open a folder, you may see the message "No Items Found". Limitations: Do not include ".com" as part of a top-level folder name in Outlook 2010. ADAPT01667166 Description: When using a JPG image in Crystal Reports that is set to 1 DPI, the designer will terminate unexpectedly. The error also occurs in.net and the Webform viewers. Limitations: Whenever possible, restrict the size of your images, or they will not display properly at 100%. ADAPT01670344 Description: The Crystal Reports processing servers are using three GET calls - instead of the expected two GET calls - to access a wsdl on a custom web service. This causes the web service to become overloaded and unable to accept new requests. ADAPT01672030 Description: When trying to run Salesforce.com-based Crystal Reports on a jobserver child under load, the jobserver child terminates unexpectedly. ADAPT01672642 Description: When attempting to open a report in Crystal Reports that is stored in BusinessObjects Enterprise, if the last folder contains special characters such as the apostrophe character, when you attempt to view the next batch, the following error is generated: "Not a valid query. (FWM 00025)". ADAPT01674844 Description: When trying to set the page size to 3.000 [Horizontal] * 1.500 [Vertical] when Orientation is set to"portrait" and the option "Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size" is checked, the system automatically switches the Page size to 1.500 [Horizontal]* 3.000 [Vertical]. Limitations: To enable this solution to work consistently, it is a good idea for you to have the customized page size included in the printer's page size list. If the exact page size is not listed, use the Print Setup dialog and choose an existing page size that closely matches the dimensions that you are using. 10/11
ADAPT01676765 Description: When refreshing an Opensql report which links three tables (A, B, C) with links from A to B and from C to B, data was not correctly returned and an error message is displayed. ADAPT01683674 Description: When you change a username and password in the PeopleSoft system and then update the information in the BusinessObjects Enterprise CMC authentication page, the role cannot be imported. 11/11
