About upgrading to Data Protector 10.10 Your existing licenses continue to be active. We recommend that you upgrade to take advantage of the new features. DP 10.10 is a one step upgrade from DP 8.1 or DP 9.x. There is no forced migration to DP Editions. You have an option to migrate to the new editions in order to use all new product capabilities. When you upgrade to DP 10.10: Data Protector capacity customers automatically get integrated reporting, install/upgrade improvements and enterprise readiness features Data Protector traditional customers gain install/upgrade and enterprise readiness improvements.
