Pre-Trip Inspection Operator must run through all verification points and their respective components that need to be verified. Verification has all the points regarding a specific component. Operator can check boxes in this list when there is a problem. The Summary text box summarizes all the problems in the bus. When Finish is pressed, it leads to the Pre-Trip Inspection Drawing. 26

Pre-Trip Inspection Drawing Press a body damage button (dent, scratch or broken) Touch the location of the damage point A tag will appear on the damage point; D for dent, S for scratch and B for broken Press and hold a damage point (D, S or B) to delete it. A popup will request for a delete confirmation When finished press the submit button. The inspection report is submitted for use by a technician. 28

Full Map View When Map button is pressed, map toggles to full screen. Pressing the Map button toggles to regular home screen with small map. Pressing the Arrow on the lower right-hand corner centers the map. 32

NOTE: Acknowledgment Popup Messages are kept until the bus operator logs out Messages A new message triggers a sound from the MDT and a notification appears over the Messages button Press Message button : Lists of all received messages Green : unread messages Red : urgent messages White: message being read Selected messages is displayed in the text box Mark as Read removes bold Send button list the pre-determined messages that can be sent. Audio button reads the message on the MDT speaker (TTS). When the operator selects a message from the list the Send button becomes the Reply button. Reply button pops up a list of short answers. Operator selects answer and presses Reply to send. An Acknowledge request popup will appear if requested by the Supervisor. 36
PR Messages Press PR button PR Messages Selects the messages to play on the headsign. Press Start to start the message Press Stop to stop it from playing An icon appears in the top bar to notify the operator that one or more messages are playing on the headsign Note: Only one message can be played on the head sign at one time. If a second message is selected to be played, it will overwrite the first one. 37
Announcement and Stops Press Announcement button Announcements: Selects messages to be played in the bus. Select to play on speakers only, LED only or both. Last or Next Stop Announcements Press to replay the last stop announcement. Press to play the next stop announcement. 38
Options Press the ISR logo to access the options screen. Adjust the volume level of the MDT screen. Adjust the volume level of the in-bus speaker Adjust the volume level of the out-bus speaker Adjust the brightness level of the MDT screen. Turn On/Off the PA announcement Press the ISR logo or the Home button to return to previous screen. 39
Logout Popup for logout Pressing Confirm sends a request to the central system to log off. If the central system replies successfully, the MDT returns to screen Log On Screen No Cellular Connection Confirm to logoff again No connection for a second time: Option to force logoff information Pressing yes takes you to the Log on screen Pressing no takes you to main screen 40
Post-Trip Inspection When bus enters the depot defined zone at the end of its trip, the Post-Trip Inspection screen is displayed automatically after the operator logout It displays the same information that was entered during the initial pre-tip inspection of the day unless it s been cleared by a technician. Operator must review all components. Press Finish upon completion of post-trip inspection. After Logging out, the Log on screen is displayed. 41
RTT & PRTT The Request-to-talk (RTT) and Priorityrequest-to-talk (PRTT) are available at all times on the bottom right of the screen. The RTT button sends a communication request to the Control Center PRTT sends a priority communication request to the Control Center. After operator presses RTT or PRTT the following icons appear: After operator presses RTT or PRTT button, icon should appear in the taskbar with the Talk On in white. When normal communication is ON, icon should change to Talk ON in green. When priority communication is ON, icon should change to Talk ON in red. When communication is ended by the Control Center, icon should disappear from the taskbar. 42
Covert Alarm The Covert alarm mode is triggered when the operator presses on the physical 911 alarm button in the vehicle. It is a 3 state process: Empty circle appears in the taskbar when the alarm is triggered. Circle becomes full when Control Center handles the alarm in FleetTrack and an ACK is received on the MDT. Circle disappears when Control Center decides the alarm is over. When the MDT is in covert alarm mode, Messages and Voice Calls are not visible. 43
Vehicle on Road When the vehicle is moving on the road, buttons are not visible. They become available again when the vehicle stops moving. 44
