Installation Before you begin Please read the following notes before you install this software. Also be sure and check the Known Issues section to check for any installation issues. Important Notes It is imperative for Avaya Message Networking R6.3 Patch1 MNR6_3_GAPatch1.tgz (PLDS ID: MN000630001) or higher to be applied to systems after installing the Message Networking R6.3 GA software. Restore from a system with 12 port Dialogic analog port board to a 4 port Dialogic analog port board system is not supported. Analog (OAN and AMIS) calls would not work until Dialogic board related configurations are done manually. Known issues and workarounds The known issues and corresponding workarounds, if there s one, are documented as follows: 1. Problem: Losing database of voicemail endpoints Workaround: None Reference: MSG-15551 2. Problem: Message can't be sent among Voicemail servers (Secure SMTP and TCP/IP) Workaround: Incoming port in MN must match the outgoing port of the remote machine. Reference: MSG-16139 3. Problem: MT9234ZBA-USB modem can't be re-added. Workaround: In few cases, it may take multiple attempts to re-add the modem. In rare cases, a server reboot could be required to re-add the modem Reference: MSG-16840 4.
