1. 2.1 Icons in Live screen Each icon in the live screen displays a present setting status or a function. UI screen consists of like below. Note Chosen live screen is marked as a blue frame; mouse-located live screen is marked as yellow one. 2.2 Live Launcher menu This section describes Launcher menu in the bottom of the screen. 2.3 Quick menu This section depicts Quick menu when users click the right button of the mouse in live screen. No. Item Description 1 Screen Mode Selecting the partition mode of live screen (Full, 2X2, 3X3, and 4x4). 2 Zoom in Magnifying selected live screen (Zoom out, 2 times, 4 times, and 8 times). 3 Freeze Stopping or replaying selected live screen images (toggle) 4 Speaker OUTPUT/Mute Turning on/off a sound speaker 5 PTZ Control Controlling PTZ Function 6 Stop Alarm Stopping monitoring alarm output and event 7 Spot Mode Set the output mode of a spot monitor (Auto, Full, and 4x4). 8 Playback Playing selected live screen images (before 30 sec, 1 min, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min, 1-hour, Go to last play time, and Go to last record time) 9 Search Searching recording data (time, event, thumbnail, and text). 10 Backup Backup video users want. 11 Setup Opening setting menu pop-up. For more information about setting menu, see section 0 Camera selection Individual cameras or multi screen modes can easily be selected using the Mouse. 1. Selecting a single camera from a multi screen display To select a single camera from any multi-screen view, simple hover the mouse over the required camera and double click on it s image. This will display the selected camera in full screen view. To return to the same multi-screen view, double click on the full screen image. VIPER Quick userguide V1.0 5

2. Automatic sequencing of cameras To start an automatic sequence of camera images. 12 Status Opening a pop-up displays device system log, event, and recording status (system log, event, and save) 13 Log in/log out Log in/log out 14 Shutdown Unplugging or restarting the device (shutdown, restart). 2.4 Camera selection Individual cameras or multi screen modes can easily be selected using the Mouse. 1. Selecting a single camera from a multi screen display To select a single camera from any multi-screen view, simple hover the mouse over the required camera and double click on it s image. This will display the selected camera in full screen view. To return to the same multi-screen view, double click on the full screen image. 2. Automatic sequencing of cameras To start an automatic sequence of camera images, select the sequence icon on the Launcher menu at the bottom of the screen: 3. Manual stepping through cameras or multi screen views To manually select different cameras or multi-screen views select the left or right arrows on the Launcher menu at the bottom of the screen: VIPER Quick userguide V1.0 7

2.5 PTZ camera control PTZ cameras cam be controlled when selected in full screen mode. To access the PTZ OSD menu, first select the camera full screen, then right click anywhere on the screen to display the Quick Menu: Selecting the PTZ control option will diplsay a PTZ control panel and the PTZ icon in the center of the screen: The camera can be moved by either: 1. Pressing and holding on an arrow. or 2. Click on the screen and drag (the further from the icon the faster the speed) Use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in or out. Presets / Tours etc To select Preset positions or Tours right clicking anywhere on the screen will display the following menu: Selecting any option will display drop down menu. 3. Search/Playback This chapter describes Live Launcher search and play menu located at the bottom of the screen. 3.3 Backup ( Archive) To back up information to A USB pen (or CD/DVD on HDAL model), right click on the screen to display the quick menu. Select the BVACK up option: This will display the following menu page: 1. Plug in a USB pen to the recorder, when it is discovered it will be displayed in the Device window 2. Select the required channels 3. Select the Start and Stop time 4. Give the download folder a logical name 5. Select H4V as back up format to download player software. 6.
