Network The navigation items that are available under the network heading are as follows: Configure Network Configure Receptionist Configure Trunks Telephone Upgrade IpPBX Upgrade Backup & Restore Time & Date The default password settings for access to the extension administration items is: Username: network Password: netpassword 27 of 42

1.2.1. Configure Network This webpage displays the current network settings. Take care when changing these as it may lead to the Berkshire 10K ippbx becoming unreachable and for the attached telephones to lose connection. The Berkshire 10K ippbx supports VLANs. These can separate the telephony traffic from other data on the ethernet network and give the telephony traffic priority through ethernet switches. This can be useful in very heavily used networks as it means that calls are unaffected by data overloads. The address for web administration is unaffected by the enabling of VLANs but the attached Berkshire 5000 telephones need to be rebooted for them to be automatically configured with the new VLAN network settings. The Forwarded Public IP Address field is used when the Berkshire 10K ippbx is behind a firewall and there are users of remote Berkshire 5000 telephones such as home workers. The firewall must be configured such that traffic addressed to udp port 5060 of the public IP address of the firewall is forwarded on to udp port 5060 of the IP address of the Berkshire 10K ippbx. The Forwarded Public IP Address field instructs remote Berkshire 5000 telephones to communicate via the firewall rather than trying to connect directly to the ippbx. 28 of 42

1.2.2. Configure Receptionist This webpage determines how incoming calls that are received over the trunk connections are handled. There are 3 options available to handle incoming calls: Allow Direct Extension Access enables the caller to enter the extension number required. Allow Access to the Directory provides the caller with a directory of the available users and their extension numbers. Telephone Receptionist directs all incoming calls to a specific extension, or a sequence of extensions if unanswered. More than one of the above options is available to be selected at one time. 29 of 42

1.2.3. Configure Trunks This webpage shows the currently configured Voice over IP (VOIP) trunks and their status. The Access Digits column indicates the prefix that must be dialled to select the use of each VOIP trunk for outgoing external. A VOIP trunk can be edited or deleted by clicking on the Edit or Delete buttons on the row containing the name of the trunk. New VOIP trunks can be added by clicking the Add button. An example of adding a Voice over IP (VOIP) trunk is shown below. If the VOIP provider does not require the use of an outbound proxy then the "Outbound Proxy and Outbound Proxy Port fields may be left blank. The Berkshire 10K ippbx makes use of the same type of VOIP connection as a SIP telephone. You may wish to confirm the VOIP connection with a Berkshire 5000 telephone before using it with the Berkshire 10K ippbx. Follow the instructions from the VOIP provider regarding the required configuration of a SIP telephone to work with their service. If the Berkshire 10K ippbx is behind a firewall then the VOIP provider must provide a mechanism for NAT traversal (such as rport and symmetric RTP) and binding refresh (such as Options messages or registration expiry). The Berkshire 10K ippbx is known to operate successfully with major VOIP providers such as Sipgate, Voiptalk, Gradwell and Node4. You may need to check whether your VOIP provider has mechanisms for dealing with firewalls. If you do not know the type of firewall on your network then it should be assumed to be of a symmetric NAT type with 30 second udp binding expiry. 30 of 42

1.2.4. Telephone Upgrade This webpage is used to identify and download new versions of software for the Berkshire 5000 telephones. To download latest software version: Click the Load button You will be prompted to confirm that you wish to overwrite the currently loaded version Click OK to continue The ippbx will download the necessary files over the internet from the ATL upgrade server Confirmation that the latest version has been loaded successfully is displayed The ippbx now contains the latest telephone software. A user can upgrade his Berkshire 5000 telephone to the latest version at a convenient time when he is not needing to make or receive calls. To upgrade the phone press the MENU button and scroll down the list on the LCD to the item Upgrade Now. Press OK to check whether the phone needs upgrading and OK again to perform the upgrade. 31 of 42

1.2.5. IpPBX Upgrade This webpage is used to identify and download new versions of software to upgrade the Berkshire 10K ippbx. Clicking on a version number in the list displays the release notes for the version. To upgrade to a new software version: Click Download Now in the row which contains the version number you require. Confirmation is given that the version has been downloaded successfully Click Install Now to install the version Confirmation is given that the version has been installed successfully 32 of 42

1.2.6. Backup & Restore This webpage can be used to make and restore backups of the ippbx. The date, time and compatibility version of the ippbx backup is displayed. There are four buttons to control the backup process: Backup - Used to record the settings that exist currently. The recording is held in a backup file on the ippbx. A new backup overwrites the current one. The backup feature protects against misconfiguration. Restore - Used to apply the settings that existed at the date & time of the ippbx backup. Copy - Used to copy the backup file from the ippbx to your PC for future use. Multiple backup files relating to the settings at different dates and times can be copied to and stored on the PC. The copy feature protects against hardware failure. Replace - Used to return a backup file from the PC to the ippbx. The backup file from the PC overwrites the one on the ippbx. 33 of 42

1.2.7. Time & Date This webpage can be used to set the time zone of the system clock on the Berkshire 10K ippbx. It can also be used to set the actual time. The voicemail webpage provides an alternative method for voicemail recipients to manage the voicemail messages that they receive. Entering a valid extension number and the corresponding voicemail password displays details of the voicemail messages that have been received for that extension. Voicemail messages can be played, moved or deleted. 38 of 42

3.1. Call Monitoring (Only available in full license version) The voicemail webpage can also be used to access the call monitor functions. Here you can view the call history of all the calls to and from the extension. For those calls for which call monitoring has been activated it is possible to play a recording of the monitored call. To activate call recording during a call it is necessary to press #2 on the keypad of the phone. There may be legal implications in monitoring calls without the knowledge of both parties. 39 of 42

4. Conferences (Only available in full license version) The conference system can be accessed by dialling 10000 and pressing the number of the conference room that you wish to join on the phone keypad.
