Precautions Please note the following guidelines when using this camera: For your safety, do not press the buttons on the camera while in physical motion. Do not open the camera as this may expose the PC board to moisture, and/or dust which may cause electrical shock or malfunction of the internal PC board. Always clean the lens with a soft dry cloth to remove dust or fingerprints before usage. Use only rechargeable AA Lithium battery (3.7V) in the camera. Do not use alkaline batteries or any other type of batteries. Make sure to turn the camera off prior to removing the battery or memory card. Otherwise, the battery or card may be damaged. The camera is shock-resistant but not shock-proof. Careful not to subject the camera to high shock. Do not remove the USB cable while transferring data from the camera to PC. The operational temperatures of the camera are -10 to 50 (14 to 122 ). Get Quick Start Welcome to ZAPTUB Action DV, please Insert Micro SD card and insert the Lithium batteries. CD Disc (including user manuals and Date/Time software) Camera Usage 1. Open the casing Push and hold the release button. Then carefully pull the casing in the horizontal direction. 4
2. Insert 2 AA Lithium Batteries and 1 Micro SD Card Insert the AA lithium batteries into the battery slot with the proper orientation (paying close attention to the polarity of the battery), shown inside the slot. Then insert the Micro SD card into the memory card slot, on the side of the open casing. 3. Set the Date/Time Set up the Day/Time on PC while connecting the camera and PC via the USB cable. Doubly click DateTime.exe file from CD disc. A DateTime setup screen will pop up and the program will show the current Date/Time automatically. If necessary, please do adjustment by clicking icon. After finishing all setups of Date/Time, click Save icon. The other screen will pop up to show if the process is successful or not. If successful, click OK to complete the setup. 5
Disconnect USB cable between PC and the camera. Turn on the power and wait till standby status - the indicator light remains lit. And then turn off the power again. P.S. The process of Date/Time storage in the system will take some time depending on the capacity of Micro SD card. For example, big memory of SD card will take longer. Note: Date/Time program is compatible with Window 2000 or above. If necessary, please download Net Framework 2.0 from http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx. (for Window system) or Mono from http://www.mono-project.com/main_page (for Linux system). 4. Close the casing Close the camera casing firmly. 5. Button Features (Power): Press and hold for 3 seconds. The system will power on and run self-test for seconds, and 2 LED will flash 1 time for test. Indicator light, under the rubber button, will remain lit. Press again to turn off the camera. (Record): Press, blinking Indicator light indicates the camera is recording. Press again to stop recording. (Snapshot): Go back to standby status first. For example, when under Live Record status, to press to stop recording before taking snapshot. Press to take a single picture. Indicator light will flash once per snapshot. Press again to stop snapshot. (LED): Directly press to turn on LED. Press again to turn off LED. (LED Flash): Press to flash LED light. Press again to stop LED flash. (Push-to-Open): Push to open the camera casing. 6
6. Indicator Lights (under buttons) Turn-on Camera and Standby: Indicator light remains lit. Live Record: Indicator light flashing slowly Snapshot: Indicator flashes once per snapshot Full SD: Rapid flashes and turn off the power Low Battery: Rapid flashes and turn off the power Full Battery: Rapid flashes and back to Standby status Battery Recharging: Indicator light flashing slowly 7. Recharge Batteries and Upload Data Once USB cable is connected, battery will commence recharging and data can be uploaded. P.S. The indicator light will flash (slowly). The indicator light remains lit as full battery. 8. Auto Turn-off Mechanism After 3 minutes under standby status, the camera will power off automatically. P.S. Save, Edit, and Share Upload the images via USB cable when connected to the PC. Warranty We warrant ZAPTUB Action DV (the product) for the period of twelve (12) months from the date of the purchase for the product, unless otherwise stated differently in writing. We shall, at its own expense, repair, refurbish or, if necessary, replace the product proved defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service. Warranty Exclusions (the warranty will be forfeited or not applied): to damage or defect arising out of abnormal use of handling of the product to the product or parts that have been modified without the permission of the manufacturer to put other type of the batteries beside rechargeable AA Lithium-batteries (3.7V) if the product serial number has been removed or defaced, visible scratches evidence of tampering (broken seals), damaged electronics (missing IC chips), bent /broken casing Note: The ZAPTUB Action DV is mainly used for sport activities.
