PMA-520AE and DCD-520AE: the new entry-class dream team Denon gives the starting signal for its new generation of award-winning Advanced Evolution stereo components May 14 th, 2012 Denon, one of the world s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, today introduced a new stereo components duo stepping into the footsteps of their award-winning Advanced Evolution series. The PMA-520AE and DCD-520AE entry-class stereo amplifier and CD player take the best genes of their predecessors, and feature even further improvements at the same time. Most remarkably, both newcomers benefit from an extensive European sound tuning program resulting in a further improved sound quality that will again set standards at this price point. A slight cosmetic update paired with a newly-developed remote control make for an elegant appearance and ease-of-use at the same time, satisfying the demands of price-conscious music lovers. The PMA-520AE integrated amplifier features a new Advanced High-Current Single-Push- Pull circuitry to achieve both strength and detail in music playback, which is Denon's focus for its pure audio amplifiers. The engineers have used their extensive knowledge of audio technology to create an amplifier that is again a step up in class from previous developments. New high quality speaker terminals offer the best connection possible in this price class. For improved convenience, the remote control unit that comes with the PMA-520AE, has been redesigned completely, and even includes the main functions that control Denon CD players. Building the perfect match for the DCD-520AE, this solid amplifier fulfills all basic needs to perfection. To faithfully reproduce the original sound, the DCD-520AE CD player is endowed with a wide range of audio technology that Denon has developed and refined for more than a century. It incorporates a high quality 32bit / 192kHz digital to analogue converter to get any detail from audio disc. Further, its MP3 and WMA capability offers extra access to ones beloved music. For a sound that surpasses the quality expected in its class, Denon engineers have carefully selected parts for the audio section, the power unit and other areas on the basis of their contribution to high sound quality. The patterns for the digital 1/5
circuits have been specially designed to provide maximum protection from unwanted radiation and achieve low impedance. Next to the newly-developed remote control, the DCD-520AE now owns a two line display offering best readability, even from the distance. As Denon is at the forefront of reducing unnecessary energy consumption, the Stand-by power has again been reduced significantly. Even further, all new products now feature an Auto Power Off function for additional energy saving, proven by the new Denon eco-logo. The PMA-520AE and DCD-720AE will be available in a black and premium silver colour finish from June onwards.
