EUVE mainly works in the area of IT, by developing Information Systems in which horizontal knowledge areas like Simulation, Virtual Reality or Artificial Intelligence are applied. EUVE pays special attention to the Security sector in the following aspects: preventing undesired scenarios and reestablishing scenarios. EUVE is reconised by the Spanish Ministery of Defence as Technological Center provider of technology and products with certify num. 9482. Projects related to security: - SICAREX. Information system to control security processes and undesired logistic scenarios in a Workshop Center (Spanish Ministery of Defence). - SCROOGE. Information sytem for banking. Generation of critical scenarios and personal finance planning. Granted by the Spanish Min. of Industry. - MTH-SIPEC. Awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation with special interest of the Ministry of Defence. The main objective is to develop Strategic Scenarios in Military environments. Procedures and techniques used in Strategic and Tactical planning are applied to get solutions in the Security sector. Concerning the analysis of scenarios in the security area, EUVE has a three-year experience with end users like the Spanish Institute of Strategic Studies, High Military Staff of Defence (EMACON), Intelligence Center of Defence (CIFAS), SubDirectorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies (Ministry of Interior) and High Center of Studies of the National Defence (CESEDEN). Meetings, conferences and projects have been carried out with them. In EUVE one doctoral thesis has been developed on this subject, it is entitled "Methodology to the construction of planning models based on intelligent agents". This doctoral thesis was awarded by the SubDirectorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies with a national prize on research on security 2007. In 2007 the work developed in EUVE and entitled "A solution for planning military operations, based on intelligent agents" was awarded with the national prize in research.
