Getting to know your ipad exploring the settings, App store, Mail Exploring the settings Open the settings app from your homepage Wi-Fi Turn Wi-Fi on/off Add new Wi-Fi Connection Enter Network Name, any security type or details (username/password) Page 1

Notification Center There are three types of notifications: 1. Sounds: An audible alert plays. 2. Alerts/Banners: An alert or banner appears on the screen. 3. Badges: An image or number appears on the application icon. Scroll through the list to view apps and amend any Notification settings Within a selected app (e.g. Calendar) make any amendments to Notifications i.e. remove or none, change to a Banner, or an Alert, remove/show on Lock Screen Page 2

Additional Information If you have an app that could send frequent notifications (for example, Mail, Twitter, Facebook, etc), your ipad could wake frequently to display the notification (and affect battery life). You can disable Show on Lock Screen for a particular app in Settings > Notification Center > <app name>. You can customize what you see on your Today view. Go to Settings > Notification Center and using the switches, select which options your would like to show in Today view. You can choose to sort your notifications manually or by time. If you have chosen to sort manually, tap edit in the upper right corner, and drag your notifications to your desired order using Control Center You can enable and disable access to Control Center from the Lock screen or apps in Settings > Control Center In Control Center, you can adjust these settings: Turn on or off Airplane mode, Wi- Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, and screen-orientation lock Adjust screen brightness Play, pause, or skip a song, and adjust playback volume Connect to an AirPlay device or toggle between audio output Adjust whether your device is discoverable for AirDrop Control Center also includes quick access to these apps: Camera Timer Page 3

.Do Not Disturb You can use the Do Not Disturb setting to silence calls, alerts, and notifications. To enable, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb. When Do Not Disturb is on, a "moon" icon will appear in the status bar. Additional Information There are more settings for Do Not Disturb: Manual: When enabled, calls and alerts received while the device is locked will be silenced.* Scheduled: Automatically enable Do Not Disturb between the hours you specify. Allow Calls From: Allow calls from everyone, no one, your favorites, or specific contact groups stored on your device or your icloud account. Repeated Calls: If someone calls you twice within three minutes, the call will not be silenced. Silence: Choose to silence calls and notifications always or only when the device is locked.
