Installation Do not connect the instrument yet! The PC software needs to be installed by using the executable file you downloaded from ALL-TEST Pro, LLC, after registering your instrument. Details regarding this process were included inside the AT33 packaging after instrument purchase. Or if you purchased software after the original instrument purchase then instructions were provided with your order. As an alternative, an installation CD may have been supplied. Locate the downloaded file and then click to execute it. The software will ask you to select your local language: Then follow the Installation Wizard Instructions If installing from a CD then insert the CD in PC CD/DVD drive and wait for windows to load the AT33 setup program. If it doesn t load by itself, browse to the CD and double-click on the file setup.exe. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard until it s finished. Next connect the instrument to any USB port on the PC. Wait for windows to install the drivers and this should be done automatically. 3

Now you can start the PC software. You will find the shortcut in your Start Menu, All Programs, All-Test Pro 33 folder: All-Test Pro 33. Alternatively there may also be a short cut on your computer desktop. If you have the instrument connected, there should be a green light with the text Connected in the lower left corner of the software. It is possible to connect and disconnect the instrument at any time, as the software will detect this. 4

Introduction The ALL-TEST PRO 33 PC software is a tool to handle the test records that are collected with the test instrument. The test records can be saved into a corresponding motor file together with all relevant motor data, as well as company name and location. The program can be used whether the instrument is connected to the PC or not. Only one motor at a time is handled, with its corresponding test records. There are five basic commands for handling motor files: New Open Save Save PDF Print The program is divided into different pages that you access with the page buttons to the left: Motor data Report Trend Instrument The Motor data page contains all the basic nameplate data for the motor. 5

On the Report page you will find a list of all test records saved to this motor and a visual report of the currently selected test record. This report can be printed or exported as a PDF document. On the Trend page you will find a list of all test records saved to this motor record. Additionally, test values can be shown on a graph for Trending purposes. Trend graph can be viewed with values as a % of Deviation or Absolute. Below you will see that the TVS has been graphed based on three different tests. Checking and unchecking the boxes will select/unselect what you want to graph. 6

On the Instrument page, you will find all functions to communicate with a connected instrument, such as upload and download test and reference records. Basic commands New This command clears all values from the motor data page and resets the program to its initial state. Use this to prepare for entering values and saving test records for a new motor. Open This will show a page with a tree view to the left and a file list beside it. In the tree view all saved companies and locations are shown. Select company and location, and the file list will show all available motors. Open the motor by double-clicking on the motor file, or by selecting the motor file and then clicking on the Open button to the right. Note: In these two commands, if there is an open motor that has unsaved changes to it, then the program will ask if you want to save the changes. 7

Save This will save the motor data and all its test records to a motor file. Enter company name, location, and file name for the motor to be saved. Important: The program will not warn you if you try to overwrite an existing file! Be careful not to unintentionally enter a filename that already exists. Save as PDF This command creates a PDF document with the content of the currently shown page (Report page or Trend page). Click the button and enter a file name for the document and the PDF file will be saved and opened in Acrobat Reader. Note: To be able to view the PDF file, Acrobat Reader (version 5 and later) has to be installed on the PC. Print This command makes a printout with the content of the currently shown page (Report page or Trend page). The program shows the standard windows Select printer dialog to let you decide what printer to use. 8

PC to Instrument Communication There are two ways to communicate with the instrument: One is the direct upload where once you have completed a new test you will use the Send Test function in the instrument. You do not have to do anything in the program for this; the test record will be received automatically, as long as the green light Connected is visible. See page 22 of the AT33IND User Manual. The other way is to click on the Instrument button in the program, thus displaying a page with a tool bar with buttons for upload and download (and some other related commands) and a list field. See page 25 of the AT33 User manual for more information. Note: Before you can use any of these functions you must set the instrument to PC communication mode! Upload This command uploads a copy of all saved test records from the instrument to the PC. The uploaded test records will appear as a list. By placing the computer mouse over a particular test and then performing a right mouse click, a sub-menu will pop up that allows you to Insert into current motor, View report, or Delete the test record. 9

The original test records will still be stored in the instrument. To clear the instrument, see the Erase memory below. Note: A copy of all uploaded test records are also added to the History repository. (See View History below). Insert into current motor This command will insert the selected test record into the currently opened motor. The selected test record will be removed from the list on the screen. Before using this command, be sure that you have opened the corresponding motor file. If there is no motor opened at the moment, the record will be added as the first to a blank motor, which can be saved later. View report The selected test record will appear as the only record on the report page and a report will be created and displayed. If you have previously filled in the Company, Location, and other information to the record in the instrument, this data will be transferred to the corresponding fields on the Motor data page. You can use this function to preview the records before inserting them into a specific PC motor file or deleting them. The selected/viewed record will still be found in the list, so it can be viewed any number of times. When you view a certain record, you can also save it as a new motor. Check that the motor data is filled in correctly, then click the Save button and save the motor data to the desired company, location and name. Note: When you click the View report it will clear out any previously opened motor (same function as the New button). If you have done any changes to that motor, the program will ask you to save the changes, before it views the selected test record. Delete The selected test record will be deleted from the list on the screen (only). It will not be deleted from the instrument or from the history repository, if it is stored there. This command is useful if you are planning to download the content of the list to the instrument or just to discard the record for any reason. Download This will download all the test (or reference) records from the list to the instrument. Erase memory By clicking this button all stored records will be deleted from the instrument. This does not affect the uploaded record copies in the list, which still are available to work within the program. Clear list This will clear the list. Use this when you are finished with viewing and saving the uploaded records, or with downloading records from the list. Records that are not previously saved will be lost (except in History, see below) 10

Done When you are done with PC to instrument communication, click this button to release the instrument from the communication mode. This action does not affect any test records. View History When uploading records from the instrument, all records are auto saved to a history repository. To view this click the View history button and the list will be filled with the auto saved records. The program will not save duplicates, so you can upload the same record from the instrument as many times as you want. It will not be auto saved more than once. There is no limit how many records that can be stored in the history repository, but it is a good practice to clear this once in a while. Clear History This will delete all auto saved records in the history repository. Be sure that you have handled all the records you need before clearing the history. There is no way to delete a single record from the history file. Preparing a download list A download list is a set of test or reference records that you can download to the instrument. Test records can only be added from the history, which in turn means that they can only originate from the same or another instrument. Or, of course, a recently uploaded set of test records can be downloaded again to the same instrument. If you wish to download the same set to another instrument, you will have to use the history because the program must be restarted to connect to another instrument. Reference records can be added to the list by opening the desired motor and then from the report page click the button Add this as ref to instrument list. Before you add the reference record, you can alter the motor data to suit the motor being tested (if not the same as previously saved). To be useful as a reference record, the motor must be of the exact same type. There is currently no provision for saving the list. Backup of user data All user data for this program are stored under My Documents in a folder named AT33Pro. It is recommended to periodically make a backup of this folder. A complete backup of My Documents would also include the folder AT33Pro. 11
