Frequently Asked Questions for the Chinabond Integrated Operation Platform (CIOP) Online (For Overseas Clearing Members) This translation has been prepared solely for reference purposes, shall not have any binding force and is not always the latest version. The original Chinese text will be definitive in case of any divergence in the meaning. Q1: What customers does the CIOP Online target? A: Both domestic and overseas members of the Chinese inter-bank bond market, and non-clearing members as well as information institutions may apply for and use the CIOP Online. Q2: How CIOP Online differs from CIOP Desktop in terms of connectivity? A: CIOP Online is accessed through Internet, and users do not need to apply with CCDC to connect to its system. From this sense, the CIOP Online supports mobile office and provides a more convenient access. Users of CIOP Desktop shall apply with CCDC to connect to their private network, and the procedures for both application and connection are more complex than CIOP Online. Q3: What customers does the CIOP Online extend to? A: Overseas clearing members and non-clearing members as well as information institutions for the interbank bond market may use CIOP Online. The coverage of both Type A and Type B clearing members expands to relevant persons engaged in

middle office risk control, corporate internal supervision and working out of the office. Q4: What benefits may the CIOP Online bring to overseas clearing members for their risk control? A: With the CIOP Online, overseas clearing members may check their accounts and query information at any time, it is not necessary any more for their clearing agents to make real-time query on the holdings of bonds. In this way, the risk of asset appropriation is effectively controlled, which protects the interests of investors successfully. Q5: What shall the clearing agents do when overseas clearing members apply for the CIOP Online? A: When the clearing agents apply for the CIOP Online on behalf of their customers, they are obliged to check the legal identities of customers and calculate their digital signature. In other words, overseas clearing agents shall collect application forms of CIOP Online from their customers when overseas clearing members complete the form, then clearing agents should review the form and add a digital signature on the form and fax it to CCDC. CCDC will contact with the overseas clearing members directly for other matters. Q6: At present, what function does the CIOP Online achieved? A: Presently, the CIOP Online primarily provides service of bond-related businesses and information query, and data download.

Firstly, the CIOP Online provides relevant businesses and information query, including clearing orders, contracts, delivery orders, interest payment receipts, summary check sheet of bond accounts, detailed check sheet, query and printing of bond data, batch data download etc. Secondly, the CIOP Online provides fund businesses query, including queries and printing of information on fund settlement, fund accounts and fund accounts as well as relevant documents, and batch data download etc. Thirdly, the CIOP Online supports application of CCDC information products, including CCDC valuations, CCDC yield curve, CCDC index, CCDC VaR, public statistic data, customized statistics, query and download of the summary statement (including the valuations) for hosting accounts etc.

Q7: May I apply for any businesses at the CIOP Online? A: The CIOP Online does not support features such as sending and confirming the clearing orders, and may only supports functions such as query, download and printing. Q8: How safe is the CIOP Online? What measures does it take to avoid security risks? A: As a core financial infrastructure in China, CCDC has years-proven multi-levels firewall configures and various security devices in place, and has further enforced the security measures in consideration of the features of the CIOP Online. Firstly, in terms of isolation of applications, a one-to-one single point verification mode for servers, realizing safe isolation for internal applications. Secondly, in the course of communication, all contents in the signal channel are encrypted by virtue in encrypted channels. Thirdly, user access and authentication are under protection of CFCA, and the identification certificates are securely stored with CCDC key. All these measures provide security for the access to CIOP Online via Internet. Q9: What preparations are required for application of the CIOP Online? A: Before you use the CIOP Online, you should configure hardware, software and the network settings, download the application for CIOP Online and the driver for CCDC KEY in accordance with relevant contents on the CIOP Online published on the CCDC website and install applications and drivers as required. Q10: How to apply for and use the CIOP Online for overseas information institutions? A: Overseas information institutions shall complete the form named "Application for the CIOP Online for Non-clearing Member Information Institutions" and submit copies of business licenses affixed with their seals to the CCDC Bond Information Department for approval. Upon approval on these materials, CCDC will open the CIOP Online for them. Relevant forms are available for download at the homepage of CCDC website.

Q11: What s the procedure for overseas clearing member (type C) to apply for and use the CIOP Online? A: Step 1: Overseas clearing members complete the "Application Form for CIOP Online" and fax it to their clearing agents. Step 2: Clearing agents attach an electronic test key on the approved application form and fax to CCDC. Step 3: CCDC opens the CIOP Online for members. Step 4: Overseas clearing members install the applications. Step 5: Overseas clearing members apply to activate the CA certificates. Step 6: CCDC examines the CA certificates and activate the same, and then overseas clearing members may log in to access. Type C members Complete the application form for CIOP Online. Clearing Agent 1. Approve the Application Form. 2. Attach digital signature. 3. Affix the special seal for clearing agent. CCDC 1. Verify the digital signature. 2. Add Type C members as users 3.
