HCP Anywhere Desktop Application Installing desktop applications HCP Anywhere provides desktop applications for both Windows and Mac. For detail information on the specific operating system versions that A*CRC supports refer to the online guide from the portal. When you start the desktop application for the first time, you need to specify some information to register with the A*CRC system. Registration information HCP Anywhere Server: hcpacrc.fugu-sg.org Username: <your assigned username> Password: <your password> Once installed, the desktop application can be used by all users that have access to the computer. Each user can access only his or her own files. When you register the application, you choose the location of your synced folder. A*CRC automatically synchronizes the contents of this folder with your other devices. Download Software for Desktop Application On the My Devices page in the User Portal, click on the OS link link at the bottom of the page that you want to download!6

Installing the Windows desktop application To use A*CRC on a Windows computer, you need to install the desktop application and then register it with the A*CRC system. Notes: The desktop applications are temporarily unavailable for download during an A*CRC system upgrade. Your administrator may not allow you to retrieve A*CRC applications from the User Portal. In this case, the download links do not appear on the My Devices page. See your administrator to learn where to download the applications. Your administrator may not allow you to use the Windows application. In this case, the download link does not appear on the User Portal My Devices page and you cannot register the application on your computer. Step 1: Install the application To install the desktop application on a Windows computer: 1.On the My Devices page in the User Portal, click on the Windows link at the bottom of the page. 2.Save the A*CRC version-number.exe file in the location of your choice. 3.On your computer, navigate to the folder where you stored the A*CRC versionnumber.exe file and double-click on it. The A*CRC Setup Wizard opens.!7

4.Click on the Next button. 5.Click on the Install button. The wizard installs the application. When the installation is finished, the Completed the A*CRC Setup page appears.!8

6.Click on the Finish button. Step 2: Register the application You need to enter some information to register the app with the system. Your administrator may have specified some or all of this information for you, in which case, the application may automatically register itself. To register the application: 1.Start the application. If you logged out of your computer after installing the application, the application starts automatically when you log back in. The A*CRC Configuration and Registration wizard window appears.!9

2.Click on the Next button. 3.Specify a location for your synced folder. You can type the path to the location or use the Browse button to select one. These considerations apply: The location you select must be empty. Your synced folder cannot be located on a network drive or any other external drive. 4.Click on the Next button.!10

5.In the A*CRC Server field, type the hostname for the A*CRC system. Server: hcpacrc.fugu-sg.org 6. Ignore proxy server to access the Internet, do not tick the check box. 7.Click on the Next button. Accept the certification click yes You are prompted to select what authentication provider to log in with. Select an option in the Log in using field and then click on the Next button. You are prompted to!11

enter a username and password in the registration wizard. In the Username field, specify the username for your Active Directory user account. This is the username you used when you initially registered in the User Portal. Type your username in one of these formats: username ACRC\username username@storage.acrc -In the Password field, type the password for your AD user account. 8.Click on the Finish button to close the wizard.!12

9. Locate your HCP Anywhere application at the bottom right hand corner of the task bar 10. Click on the Dashboard icon for more option: Open HCP Anywhere Folder File Synchronization status Launch HCP Anywhere Portal Manage backup!13
