Momentum 171 CCC 980 20 Processor with Ethernet Communication Port Description The Momentum model 171 CCC 980 20 Processor is a full capability programmable controller that includes integral Ethernet and a Modbus RS-485 communication ports. This compact yet powerful processor package can be programmed using the 984 Ladder Logic program editors available with the Concept and ProWORX programming software packages. The Ethernet communication port supports the Modbus/TCPIC protocol, provides connectivity to host devices, distributed I/O modules, peer communication to other processors, web browser access to imbedded web pages, and programming terminals. The Modbus RS-485 communication port provides the ability to connect up to 64 Momentum devices or 32 other devices over a 2 or 4 wire network with distances up to 2000 feet. Momentum 171 CCC 980 20 Processor,Continued Capabilities The Momentum 171 CCC 980 20 Processor s provides all of the power and programming capability of larger systems. This model includes the ability to program the processor with 984 Ladder Logic program editor available with the Concept and ProWORX programming software packages. This programming capability allows the Momentum processor to be applied in a wide range of control application from simple machine control to batch process control. Embedded Ethernet The Momentum 171 CCC 980 20 Processor s Ethernet Communication Port is a standard 10 baset connection and supports Modbus TCP/IP protocol that includes services such as the reading and writing of discrete data, diagnostics, and registers, along with on-line programming and full program upload/download capability. This enables the M1E processors to be used in control applications that include data acquisition, peer-to-peer communications between multiple M1E s and I/O scanning, using the same communication backbone that is used in the business-level systems: Ethernet Web Page Capabilities The Momentum 171 CCC 980 20 Processor includes an embedded Web Server with 5 built in web pages that include the following pages. These embedded web pages report real time information on the Momentum s processor status and the local I/O module points. System The model 171 CCC 980 20 Momentum Processor can be used in a Configuration number of different system configurations that allow the system to be adapted to the control application s topography and the types of other devices that are connected to the network.
