Training Methodology The course will follow the T + L+T+ L+ T + L methodology. Wherever applicable or mentioned, the student will have to create and submit assignments and will have to appear for Internal Tests. Assignments [A]: Assignments for each module should be completed during the allocated time. The assignments will have to be submitted to the faculty for evaluation. Internal Tests [Te]: The student will have to appear for Internal Tests. The faculty will prepare the objective questions for Internal Tests only. Internal Tests for modules mentioned in the evaluation table should be completed during the time allocated for test. Presenter s Manual Aptech Limited Page 9
Evaluation Components I. Assignments Assignments will be administered by the faculty while conducting the course. The following table lists the topics involved in the course: Marks: 25 per assignment 1. Modeling with 3D 2. Lights, Camera and Materials 3. 3D Motion Graphics and Fx 4. Rendering with V-Ray Duration: 2 hours each II. Internal Tests The faculty will administer the Internal Tests. These tests will be according to the table given below. Marks: 25 per test Duration: 2 hours each 1. Modeling with 3D and Lights, Camera and Materials 2. 3D Motion Graphics and Fx and Rendering with V-Ray III. Semester End Examination Examinations will be conducted at the end of each semester. The students will be evaluated on the examinable modules based on the evaluation strategy given in the table below. Below is the list of modules to be covered in Final Examination along with their weightages: Marks: 20 Type: Objective Duration: 1 hour each Sr. No. Module Name Percentage of content 1. Evaluation Details Components Marks to be obtained Internal Marks Test (Te) 50% + Assignments (A) 100% Sem-End / External Marks OES Exam 100% Overall weighted final marks Internal 30% + External 70% Grade Based System The students are awarded grades based on the following criteria: Overall Weighted Marks > = 40% but, < 60% qualifies for Pass Overall Weighted Marks > = 60% but, < 75% qualifies for Credit and Overall Weighted Marks > = 75% qualifies for Distinction. Note: To attain a Pass/Credit/Distinction grade, a student should achieve at least 40% in each of the elements of internal examination as well as final examination; otherwise he/she will be declared as, Referred.
