Indicator Light Blue: Red: Device powered on. Device charging. Turns off when fully charged. 5
Inserting the Battery Open the battery cover, and slide the battery pack in. Close the cover. The initial battery charge takes approximately 8 hours. USB Connection Plug the USB cable into a PC and the IPM Scope CAM and click the power key. Two functions will appear on the LCD. Data Transfer transfers data from the microscope to the PC. Battery Charge recharges the microscope s lithium battery. 6
Device Setup Click MENU key to enter MENU mode. Then click Right key to enter Device Setup. Select the setup parameters: Format, Beep, Language, Auto Off, System Reset, Light Frequency, Date & Time, and TV. 7
Getting the Best Image 1. Set the distance to the target object by adjusting the angle between the main body and the base. 2. Adjust the angle of the lens tube to point to the target object. 3. Adjust the lens tube angle through its 180 degree range to capture the image at the desired angle. 4. Adjust the focus know to get a clear image. 5. Hold the IPM Scope CAM in your hand, adjust the distance, or set it on a sturdy object to obtain the best image. 8
Operation Shooting Mode: Viewfinder Information 1. In shooting mode, click MENU to display menu lists. 2. Setting Capture parameters: Size, Color, Quick View, Date Stamp, Grid. 9
Recording Mode: Viewfinder Information 1. In recording mode, click MENU to display menu lists. 2. Setting Video Output format: Size. Playback Mode: Viewfinder Information 1. In shooting or recording mode, click PLAYBACK to enter playback mode. 1. In playback mode, click MENU to display menu lists. 2. Setting Playback files parameters: Delete, Copy to Card, Slide Show, Protect, Rotation. 10
File Storage There are two locations to save capture and recording files: 1. SD card 2. Built-in flash memory. The files in flash memory won t display when the SD card is being used. The files can be copied to the SD card. Use Playback mode Copy to Card to transfer the files. 11
Warranty The IPM Scope CAM is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase. During the warranty period, Spectrum will, at its option, either repair or replace products that prove to be defective. This warranty is void if the product has been damaged by customer error or negligence, or if there has been an unauthorized modification. Returning Products to Spectrum Before returning a failed unit, you must obtain a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number from Spectrum. You must ship the product(s), properly packaged against further damage, back to Spectrum (at your expense) with the RGA number marked clearly on the outside of the package. Spectrum is not responsible for any package that is returned without a valid RGA number or for the loss of the package by any shipping company.
