It is necessary to first access the parameters (See Access the Parameters, page 12.) 1. Press the button until Output is highlighted and press the button. 2. Press the button. 2. Press the button until Settings is highlighted and press the button. 3. Press the button until Personalisation is highlighted and press the button. 4. Press the and buttons until the first digit of the password is displayed and press the button. 5. Repeat step 4 to set the second and third digits of the password. 6. Press the button. Available Personalisation Commands Before starting the personalisation sequence, the GFC must be stopped. Shore Connection 500 kva Operation Operation NOTE: Only trained and certified personnel must carry out the following operation procedures. Operating Modes Normal Mode Normal AC source is available, GFC coupled: Load powered LED (A) is ON. The load is powered by the GFC. Standby Mode Normal AC source is available, GFC is stopped: Minor or environmental alarm LED (B) is orange and load LED (C) is orange. The buzzer sounds intermittently. The load is not powered by the GFC. Operation Procedures Start Up the GFC CAUTION HAZARD OF INJURY OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE Connection of power and control cables must be carried out and checked by qualified personnel. Failure to follow these instructions can result in injury or equipment damage. The doors of the cabinets must be open. Before starting the sequence, the switches must be in off position, as indicated below: 16 990-5695 001
Operation Shore Connection 500 kva GFC Cabinets The circuit breakers upstream of the normal AC line must be open. The GFC must be shut down; the load is not powered. 1. Close the upstream circuit breakers on the normal AC lines and external power source ventilation. 2. Perform the following steps on all GFC cabinets: a. Turn the Q1 switch to ON. b. Check that the PFC LED is green 3. Turn the Q5N switches on all GFC cabinets to ON. 4. Check the presence of all GFC units on the display of one of the GFC units. 5. Press the button. 6. Close the doors. 7. Press the ON button on all the GFC units. The load is powered by the GFC system when enough units are ready and all LEDs are green. Isolate an Installation NOTE: The GFC must be ON. At the end of this procedure, the load is no longer powered with AC power. 990-5695 001 17
Shore Connection 500 kva Operation 1. Perform the following steps on the first GFC cabinet: a. Press the OFF button for 3 seconds. The load is powered by the other GFC unit. If there is no other GFC unit, the load is no longer powered. b. Open the door. 2. Perform the following steps on the first GFC cabinet: a. Turn the Q5N switch to OFF. b. Turn the Q1 switch to OFF. 3. Press the OFF button of the last GFC cabinet for 3 seconds. The load is no longer powered. 4. Perform the following steps on the last GFC cabinet: a. Turn the Q1 switch to OFF. b. Turn the Q5N switch to OFF. 5. Open the upstream circuit breaker for external power source for ventilation. Transfer the GFC Back to Normal AC Power The doors of the cabinets must be open. Before starting the sequence, the switches must be in off position, as indicated below: GFC Cabinets 1. Close the upstream circuit breakers on the normal AC lines and external power source ventilation. 18 990-5695 001

Maintenance Maintenance Shore Connection 500 kva Life Cycle Monitoring (LCM) The life cycle monitoring function provides GFC maintenance advice. A. Environment alarm LED B. Enter button Press the Enter button to display the LCM ALERT information Alarm details LCM alarm details End of warranty. Check recommended. End of wearing parts service life. Technical check recommended. Description Contact Schneider Electric to extend the optimum operating period of your installation. The parts of the product that are subject to wear should be checked. Contact Schneider Electric. Disable the Life Cycle Monitoring (LCM) Function 1. Follow one of the procedures when LCM messages are displayed: For temporary disabling: Press the ESC button. The message will be repeated twice every 30 days 6. For complete disabling of LCM messages: Select Disable LCM indications in the Controls menu. NOTE: You will no longer be informed of LCM events related to your GFC. 6. Default setting. 990-5695 001 21
Shore Connection 500 kva Troubleshooting Troubleshooting An alarm is present when: at least one LED is red at least one LED is orange the buzzer beeps If an anomaly occurs, the display instructs the operator on the required action. General Status LEDs The load powered LED (A) is ON and green: The load is powered. The major alarm LED (B) goes ON red: The load is not powered. Follow the displayed instructions. The environment alarm LED (C) is ON and orange: Minor or environment alarm. The load is still powered. Follow the displayed instructions. Buzzer Stop the buzzer by pressing the Stop buzzer button (A). Mimic Panel One of the following LEDs goes ON red: A. PFC is inoperable. 22 990-5695 001
