Mini chip. Mega protection. Your new Scotiabank Visa Debit Chip Card is the same card you know and trust, but with the enhanced security of proven technology. Even though you can use the card wherever Visa is accepted, you must have funds in your designated primary account to cover the cost of your purchases. All purchases and transactions are listed on your statement. Easy to use 1 2 3 Insert your Scotiabank Visa Debit Chip Card into the Point of Sale Chip Terminal and leave in the device for the duration of the transaction to enable electronic authorisation. Follow the prompts on the screen and enter your PIN to verify transaction. When the transaction is complete, the screen will instruct you to remove your card and wait for the receipt. Daily limit A card for my spouse? In order to protect you against fraudulent use of your card, we have implemented a daily limit. To find out your daily limit, contact your branch. If you and your spouse are joint account holders, then he/she is eligible for the new ScotiaCard. Expiry date You card is valid until the month printed on the front of it. Once you re close to the time when your new ScotiaCard expires, you ll be issued a new one. If you do not remember your PIN, you will get a new one. In order to get your new PIN, you will need to provide two pieces of ID. *Fees may apply for ATMs outside of the Scotiabank network.
