EY played a key role in sensitizing the System Integrator and technology community about the project, leading to increased industry participation. Result and impact: city police for effective policing and improving the law and order scenario. Signpost, EY s newsletter for Government and Public Sector 4 PPP transaction in development of an international deepwater multi-purpose port in Kerala private sector s capabilities to develop a multi-purpose port. Overview and challenges: Department of Ports and the Government of Kerala macro-economic impact of the project for Kerala as well as national interest. Currently, due to draught limitation at most of the Indian Ports and relatively high distance of Indian ports from international shipping lines, ports of Colombo, Dubai, Salalah, Port Klang and Singapore parameters, i.e., natural depth and close proximity to the international trade route, which will help them win back the Indian cargo being handled in other neighboring ports. One of the key challenges in the assignment was that it is which had witnessed several previous attempts to bid out the project. Moreover, there were hardly any regulatory framework and awareness of the proposed structure in in coordination with the Ministry of Finance on issues Support and intervention: EY played a vital role in resolving differences between the Ministry of Finance and the Planning Commission on the new PPP structure and in laying the foundation of a regulatory framework. EY has been assisting MoMSME to upgrade these Overview and challenges: an important role in the overall industrial economy of manufacturing output. Despite its strong potential, India s manufacturing performance has not been encouraging. Major constraints in the growth and competitiveness of to skilled manpower, access to markets, and infrastructure has been assisting MoMSME, Government of India to supporting MSMEs and upgrade existing facilities. As one of the largest consulting assignments in the country, the project spans across several industries and sectors, and encompasses multiple components. Support and intervention: two phases. Phase 1: It involves program design activities, including preparation of an inception plan and development of criteria for prioritization of sectors and technologies, indepth assessment of technology and skill development of leading practices, and development of a monitoring and evaluation framework for the program. Phase 2: It consists of execution of the program including procurement of long-term technology partners, cluster network managers, construction management consultant, and national portal service providers. It also involves coordination, contract management, monitoring and evaluation, as well as capacity building.
