Since then we have evolved now making Glass, Specialty tints, Prescription Dive Masks and we now specialise in hard to get and tricky scripts. Safety Lens Selection We are licensed (SMKH 20404) by SAI Global to manufacture Certified Prescription Eye Protectors against Low and Medium Impact Resistance in accordance with AS/NZS 1337. 6:2012. We are proud to be : First to be granted a licence for AS/NZS 1337.6 First to produce certified Polycarbonate prescription safety eyewear First to produce certified Trilvex prescription safety eyewear First to produce certified Trivex Transitions prescription safety eyewear We have all the necessary testing machinery to enable spectacle analysis to AS/NZS1337.6 in house. The impact testing equipment includes ballistics tester, penetration tester and dropball tester all of which are on site. All testing equipment is maintained within calibration intervals and is calibrated by NATA registered organisations. As a manufacturer of Certified Prescription Safety Eyewear, we are able to provide certified medium impact product in both Trivex and Polycarbonate lens materials across single vision, bifocals and multifocals lens types. Certified or Compliant? What s the difference? Rx Safety makes certified product with manufacturing procedures for all processes with special attention to the requirements of the Technical Schedule and AS/NZS 1337.6:2012. We also make some compliant product to AS/NZS 1337.6. The only observable difference is that compliant product will not bear the tick tower on the customer s card which comes with the job. Compliant product is protected by our public liability insurance policy. All product testing is logged and stored in labelled boxes that ensure that compliance is able to be verified and is indeed the subject of traceability tests during surveillance audits. Rx Safety is licensed by SAI Global and has licence SMKH20404. This information can be readily sourced independently from SAI Global website. Because the burden and expense of testing and documenting (and periodically re-testing and documenting) the compliance of each combination of lens material and spectacle frame is severe all manufacturers of Prescription Safety Eyewear limit the number of combinations which are certified and those products made outside the certified range whether this be for lens power or material are Compliant to the standard. Prescription protective safety eyewear in Australia is governed by Australia/ New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS) 1337.6:2012, Personal Eye Protection Part 6: Prescription Eye Protectors Against Low and Medium Impact, which in turn references AS/NZS :1337.1:2010, Eye Protectors for Industrial Applications 9

Dive Mask Lens Selection Let your customer see the underwater world the way it was meant to be seen. We Specialize in the surfacing and laminating of customised prescription glass lenses in scuba diving masks. We can make your underwater adventures as crystal clear as your glasses on the land. Lens Options include: Gauge Readers For divers needing near vision correction only and typically for reading diving computer gauges. Divers involved in underwater photography with total near plus scripts in the range of 2.5 D or less often select gauge readers. The gauge readers are made from optical crown glass for optimum optics. Glass lenses have the added advantage of superior abrasion resistance. Astigmatism correction is included at no extra charge. Single Vision Script range including high prism and high cylinder powers. Rx Dive is happy to work with difficult scripts and there is no additional charge for high powers. Single Vision lenses are made from optical crown glass for optimum optics and also available in premium lens material to make lenses thinner and more suitable for difficult scripts or for the diver wanting lenses as thin as possible.
