Worldox Requirements The following Worldox prerequisites are needed to install the connector: Worldox GX3 (Client, Enterprise, or Cloud) installation Worldox/Web Server (deployed on-site) with a version date of September 25 th, 2014 or later with Active Profile module add on installed. Note: If you do not have the Worldox/Web server or have the Worldox/Web server but need to update, you can contact Worldox Technical Support to assist with deployment or applying updates: Call: 1-201-444-3290 Email: support@worldox.com Checking the Worldox Web Server Version Date You can check the Worldox/Web server version date by doing the following: 1. 3. In the About informational dialog, check the Version number at the bottom. Installing Scan to Worldox The Scan to Worldox Canon MFP application will automatically be able to work with the Worldox/Web server as long as the Worldox/Web server version is dated September 25 h, 2014 or later. The Active Profiling Web server pages that the MFP application uses to integrate with the Worldox/Web server will also need to be acquired and installed. Thus, once the Worldox/Web server is up-to-date with a version date of September 25th, 2014 or later, the installation process on the Worldox side is complete. However, it would be recommended at this time to note the Worldox/Web server address, as that will be needed when installing and configuring the Scan to Worldox Canon MFP application. To find the Worldox/Web Server address, launch WDWEB Server, and the Worldox/Web server address (a URL) will be clearly visible in the top-left hand corner of the main server information area, right underneath the toolbar. The following example displays a server address. 4 Installation Components for Scan to Worldox Canon MFP Application
Optional Active Directory integration for MEAP login: With a WDWEBSRV.EXE of 9/25/14 or later there is now an option to have Active Directory (AD) login from the MEAP device. By default this is off and Worldox only requires the Worldox User Code when login to Worldox Web occurs from a MEAP device. If this switch is activated then all users of the MEAP device will be required to supply their Active Directory credentials (Username and Password) in order to login into Worldox Web from the MEAP device. To activate the AD login switch you would need to make the following edit to the WORLDOX.INI file located in the Worldox Program folder on the network. Using a text editor you would add the following section and key to WORLDOX.INI [WDAPI] ---- is the section UserDnsDomain= ---- is the key After the UserDnsDomain= key you would enter the full domain name of the install site. So for example if the domain is Acme.com it would look like this [WDAPI] UserDnsDomain=acme.com You can also use a UserDnsDomain= * if you don t want to set a defined domain name or don t know it Once this is defined and Worldox Web restarted the AD login from the device will be in effect. Note: Either way a named Worldox Web User account is NOT required to use the MEAP device. 5 Installation Components for Scan to Worldox Canon MFP Application
